First grow in years, hope I don't mess it up too bad.
Soaked in water and 3% hydrogen peroxide till they sank (12 hours or so), then paper towel until tap root was 2cm long (24 hours), then into small pots 4-5ft under a 315watt cmh and under a dome. These pics are from 24 hours after putting them in soil, which I will designate as day 1. 4/13 sprouted.
Let the grow begin!
DAY 2: 12/13 Sprouted. Nice. Only one not to breach soil is the free white widow fem. I'll give it some more time. Everything else looking okay. Humidity was high (90s) when the lights came on, but has dropped, even with the dome.
Day 4: Fed with just water. Looking spindly? dropped light another half a foot.
Day 5: Fed again, fan and small pots dry out so fast.
Day 6: First day of nutes. 1/4 rec strength for week one. Dosido 1 is beyond messed up.
Day 7: Back to watering with plain water. Pots are drying out super fast - every 24-36 hours.
Hi,
I use pro-mix and it works well. The trick is not to overwater it.
Start germination in a paper towel once it is ready, grab the pro-mix and mix it with little water( when you squees it no water will come out.) plant the seedling. once the seedling is stablished the next Day or 2 day, add water until it comes out at the bottom of the pot and don't water until the grow medium is dry and repeat until 2nd week. You can foliage feed the plant (low % of nutes) at the 2nd week of grow. Third week star feeding the amount advance nutrients recommends for your plant.
Happy grow!!!!
315cmh light with seedlings in promix HP. Light is 2.8ft from tops of seedlings. Watering when medium is mostly dried out. Seedlings still seem to be stretching and stems are reddish. I watered with 1/4 micro grow bloom from AN. Are my seedlings doing ok? Day 6
Day 8: Moved light about 20 inches from top of plants
Day 10: Watering every 24-36 Hours.
Day 11: Droopy leaves and purple underside. Over watering? SOS! HELP!
Day 14: Feeding at 1/3 strength AN, transplanted to 3 gallon. Note: Those containers I started with were a NIGHTMARE. Don't use them. Frantically getting grow room ready as there is clearly no space in this closet.
I'm on day 11, under 315cmh (20") from tops of plants. I am watering with 6.2ph well water. Temps 65-75. Promix HP is grow medium. Pots have adequate drainage.
The Gelatos are drooping, stems are reddish and the underside of the leaves are purple. What am I messing up??
Water at 5.8 ph make sure the runoff is 5.5 to 5.9 , 5.8 being the best. You need to feed right off from babies at 400 ppm 0.8 ec increase 100 ppm every week until you reach 800, 1.6 ec periodically check your runoff ph and ec to keep things in line. I grow this way. You may want to follow my diary if you like my results. Cheers
315cmh 20" above plant, 1/4 strength AN Micro Grow Bloom, 6.25ph in, 5.8ph out. Watering every 24-36 hours or almost completely dry. 18/6 light schedule.
My plants are drooping and some leaf undersides are turning purple. What am I doing wrong??
I agree, too much water. Your stems are getting a little lanky as well, you should repot them to bigger pots and plant them in so your stems are mostly covered in the pot soil. Leave only an inch or 2 above the soil. Your stem will start to grow roots and your plants will be short again.
Going well. Made it into the new tent this week. Hoping to take some clones next week or the week after. Will throw into flower in a month or so. Have topped a few of the plants and played around with training. THis grow, I'm just learning and will try some different techniques while trying to keep them evenish.
Any suggestions or comments gladly welcomed
When should I scrog? Starting week 6 since seed. 14-17" tall now. 80" tall tent with 315 cmh lights. Or should I scrog? My training is a mess, just experimenting with topping and fimming and some light lst. But all over the place with no uniformity.😅
Hi!
Scrogging is basically same as lst but with the net so its actually easier to control larger canopy area. So yes I would say you should get the net and scrog to make even canopy. You can flip to flower when roughly 70% of the net is filled and then keep bending the first weeks of flowering to fill the rest of the tent.
I have made the mistake of vegging too long and then you just have to let them grow upwards which can lead to problems if the stretch too much.
Starting week 6. Going to take clones tomorrow if I have some free time. Still chugging along. Still trying to dial in nutes. Tips got a bit burnt last feeding. Sigh...
Day 45: Took some clones, defoliated and switched lights to 12-12
Day 46: Added a trellis net for support. Ordered 2 more 4x8 setups on black friday - sigh, I've caught the bug.
Day 50: Filling in and bulking up
Will my canopy fill in? Guesses on how much more they will stretch? Gelato, Dosidos, white widow, chocolope, and wedding cake are the strains. 12 in a 4x8 with 3x 315cmh, 6 weeks veg now on day 5 of flower
Hi!
The stretch lasts for the first 2-3 weeks of flowering and normallt they about double in height, so I'd say you will get full canopy. Lookinh great!
