She seems to be having a nice strong start. Can’t wait to see this baby once she’s blossoming. I am currently feeding her FloraFlex V1 & V2 @ 1g/gal, along with some CalMag and Silica additives. I pHed to around 6.0. I plan to do things a little different this time around. Prior I would change res every week in fear of root rot. But I was wasting a lot of nutrients. This time going to let the res go up to 2 weeks before changing. Once she gets bigger I’ll be changing the res once she empties the previous one, she will be drinking a gal a day once she’s in full flower.
10/16/20, she is still on the same feeding and reservoir. I will have end up changing the reservoir mid next week. So far she’s coming along nicely. Might top or fim her in a couple days.
10/20/20, decided to go with topping her today we will see how she does. I suspected some early signs of root rot (brownish roots, when nutrients is pretty much clear) so used some hydrogen peroxide and sprayed roots. Going to continue monitoring over next week. Probably going to switch to 3.5gal buckets instead of 5gal.
10/22/20, she’s bouncing back from being topped. Got two new branches stretching out now! I’m excited to see this lady get bigger.
10/23/20, small root rot starting to show, taking measures to kill, and be more proactive with keeping res temps down.
End of week 3, she’s doing great! Probably another week of veg and she should start flowering. I was able to curve the root rot, and things are looking better. No more leaves being effected and res temps have been better maintained.
Start week 3 she’s getting pretty tall, I need her to slow down so I decided to super crop the top branches. We will see what it does.
10/28/20, she bounced back from being super cropped overnight lol. One branch specifically is a lot higher so I went ahead and super cropped that same branch but in a different area near the top. Just trying to keep the canopy even.
11/1/20, changed the reservoir and upped the nutrients. Using 2g of each B1 and B2 by FloraFlex
11/4/20, start of flowering. Switched nutrients to a flowering blend of 2g of each B1 and B2 by FloraFlex. I stripped all the large fan leaves to open the bud sites up to light. Let’s see how she does!
11/6/20, I decided to super crop her again. She’s getting super tall, I may even consider tieing down those branches so they don’t come back up.
11/7/20, she got a little droopy today, checked everything out and PPMs are about 300 lower than when she started off. Which means I need to up the strength. Will change out tomorrow.
11/8/20, her res was almost empty, changed it out for a fresh batch. Used 3g each of B1 and B2 from FloraFlex, silica, calmag and hydroguard. Bumped it up to 980, we will see how she handles this strength. Also trimmed her up a little more to open up the inside to light.
11/11/20, start of week 6! I gotta say she is straight killing it! She’s so big, largest one in the tent and gunna have a bunch of colas. Super excited! Can’t wait to see what kind of growth we get this week. Being fed 3g each of B1 and B2 by FloraFlex.
11/12/20, some branches are still too tall, went ahead and super cropped them. Tops already pointing back up but rest is still at a 45° angle so hopefully it stays so I don’t have these 4-5 branches like 5” taller than the rest of the plant.
11/19/20, she’s doing really good. BUNCH of bud sites are starting to get bigger. I’ve been slowly defoliating here and there to open up bud sites to the light more. She’s already starting to pack on some frost too! Let’s see what this week brings!
11/27/20, She is a monster! I can’t believe how big she’s gotten. And omg the frost is crazy!!!! She’s gunna be a beautiful one for sure in full flower.
She is massive. She oddly smells very similar to strawberry candy, like for real. Actually kinda surprised. But super excited. Few more weeks and she should be getting the chop.
Probably going to start flushing her in about a week, she’s about ready to go!!! Smells like sweet strawberry candy it’s amazing!
I got her on a pK only diet currently for this last week, then a 3 day flush then chop!
We are coming close to harvest! I’m going to start flushing her starting today for about 4-5 days (possibly less depending on how fast she takes up plain water). Then chop her down beginning of next week!
12/28/20, she came down today! Trimmed up the fan leaves and hung her to dry. Will update with a harvest post once she finishes drying and I get ready to jar her!!! Stay tuned folks! She smells like sweet strawberries. Let’s hope I can keep those terps during the dry and cure!!!
This was a fun one to grow! She is definitely not short on frost, and has a sweet strawberry candy smell to her. (Believe it or not). Can’t wait till the final product is fully cured!!!
