Week 6 of the vegetative stage is looking wonderful. I can't believe how big those fan leaves have gotten! If i was going to say what type of cannabis this strain is just off it's look, I think we could definitely say Indica dominant. Not only are the leaves big but their fingers are huge and wide also...no skinny sativa fingers for this gal.
Well we've continued to stay successful with the "No PH'ing" plan so far. I've only been giving this plant water straight from my hose and I haven't seen anything negative yet. A perfectly healthy, green plant so far. I will of course say that I do recommend that people know what their starting water is though. Because even though this grow is doing well without using a ph meter, I had a general idea as to what the tap is putting out on a regular basis. If you have good soil and a decent microbial life I usually find my plants do well regardless of ph'ing...however I have had some grows go horribly wrong(typically indoors) when I haven't bothered with ph.
Hopefully if I can keep a decent sized pot of soil and the water doesn't suddenly change, this plant will continue to stay happy and healthy for the rest of the grow.
We had another great week for growth, coming in about 4 inches higher than last week and some better branching growth also. Our temps went back down to the 80s and I was happy for her to have a more mild comfortable environment.
Happy Growing everyone, I hope your garden's are all strong and promising.
"Happy summer to all in the western hemisphere"
bruh... that's not how seasons work ๐คฆโโ๏ธ
also. a ph of 8 will be terrible for you. at first you won't have a problem but after a couple weeks - you'll see.
I know many ppl are strapped for cash right now (myself included) but with just 15$ you can resolve this and get peace of mind. Get a PH- that will last you ages AND a PH test kit with drops. those things IMO are better than having a PH pen and you can get over 500 tests out of one. Once u get the hang of it you will only be doing tests like once a week so you see how long it will last you. I think u really should consider.
if you want DM me and I'll show you the ones I mean. get both products delivered to your door in 48 hours.
best of luck to you growmie. Wishing u a successful grow and bountiful harvest
@DaSofaSurfer, I definitely agree with you that more often than not, when I don't ph it goes a little wonky.
And a secret between us... there's a couple weeks coming up where things get a little questionable, but I'm not sure if its because of underwatering(chronic drought, i was so busy for several weeks), outgrown container and the roots bound up, lack of extra nutrients because I only feed once a week, or because of ph.
When i checked the initial startup ph it was showing 6.6 and my area usually has the 2 different phs, springtime and fall. Fall usually spikes up to about 7.7-8.3
@Treighfunky, thanks tre. You should see the finish! Holy crap she got so purply red with the cold temps. I'm cutting her today before it freezes tonight.
@Treighfunky, thanks Treigh, this one has definitely turned out to be beautiful and strong. I've gotten lucky with a few good, unique and beautiful plants this year. 2020Garden good...2020year not so good. Lol
