Hello yall I'm back with new setups and growing method. I had a small space, old light I used once, exhaust fan and clip fan. So turned it into a 18"x24" grow space.I'm growing in Batch 64 coco perlite medium with ro water gh trio nutrients and additives. This week starting out rough. I thought full seedling strength would be fine to start since my medium has no nutrients in it I was wrong. Showing signs of nute burn so i did a small flush to drop ppms my run off was at 800 down between 200 and 300. I accidentally got water on the leaves and grow light was on. And since the change in water pressure from flush she showing slight drooping. But I'm not going to stress I'm feeding her today with a 250ppm giving only a few cups around seedling till she bounces back. Btw I have photoperiod strains germinating in a tent with hlg 300l rspec I'll be posting soon.
This week was great. Once she received the proper watering and nutrients she bounced back with no problems. I also backed light up 2 inches. She is healthy now (new growth) and a good resilient strain so far no signs of stunting. Real compact plant too showing 4th node and only 2 inches tall. I'll be raising ppm next watering in two days to around 300-400.
Alot has happened this week. Let's start out with the light I'm using it lacks red. She wasn't growing the fastest. Also I wanted to get bigger leaves and stretch that's where red comes in. It's nothing special a abi 26w bloom booster. I decided to do lst this week she a small one though. I almost just let her grow but more tops more yeild
Alot of growth happened this week. She is transitioning to flower. I have been tucking leaves and lsting her for the last two weeks. I was able to get 8 to 9 colas come up. She is a short one though. Hope the stretch will get her over a ft tall will see
This week was just feed her and let her grow. I didn't do any training this week. She stretching nicely. This viparspectra 300 is doing just fine. Hope to get a bit more stretch out of her next week then defoliate towards the end just to more light to bottom.
She is officially in early stage of bloom when flowers are forming. I did a little defoliating this week just a few leaves here in there just to get more air flow through her and light. Also feed her grow nutrients halfway through this week then dropped to 1/4 tsp. I'm trying to get this short autoflower as big as I can. She 19 inches and still have about 1 more week of stretch🤞
This chemdawg ended up being 22 inches tall and 18 inches x 18 inches wide.Day 43 I did last bit of training I'm going to use on this girl. I did lst and good defoliation. She was extremely bushy this light doesn't penetrate that far. I'm trying to get the most out of her. This girl still gets about 5 or 6 more weeks to go
It was going good till I noticed some light burn on canopy closet to my bloom booster bulbs. So I raised lights up to 15 inches that looks like the sweet spot. But overall she is still green and doing great
Great week these buds are swelling nicely. I moved my light down to 13 inches where it's going to stay. My guess is I'm still 3 or 4 weeks away from harvest cant wait.
These buds are ripening pretty fast now. Last week they where all white sticking straight out of bud. I checked trichomes they are cloudy with clear still maybe one or two trichomes turning slight anger. I'm starting my flush Wednesday so should be ready in a week in a half or so.
Oh this girl stinks😜 She is about done all signs are showing she is ready to be harvested. Her hairs are curled in and turned amber trichomes are milky white her calaxes are swollen she yellowing nicely. Basically just finishing my flush which she be no later than we'd depending on how fast she yellows.
Overall I'm very happy with results. 4 ounces of bud 1.5 ounces of larf that when into trim pile for edibles. Definitely will do some lollipoppin this light only penetrates 12 inches down into canopy. So next time I'm a lollipop good and only keep top 12 inches of canopy. Will help push all that energy into making bigger buds. Thanks For Following Along Everybody gd community rocks🤘
@Newfie80, appreciate the tip I'm only using this light cuz I had it laying around and only used one time. I'm going to upgrade next grow or the one after to a hlg 135 rspec. But for one plant in a 1.5x2 at 14 inches maybe 12 in flower I think will produce great results will see.
@raven69, I just looked at your pics the leaves are curling like a taco which is heat/light stress. U need to lower the temps at canopy if you cannot lower temps raise grow light. If you cant do none of those 2 solutions feed with liquid seaweed to reduce stress and just ride it out. Canopy temps need to be between 70 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Depending on light and strain you either stay closer to 80 or closer to 70.
I'm interested to see how the light does. I recently went to viparspectra p2000's and the difference between those and the T5HOs I was running is astounding. Rocky starts happen. You're a quality grower and will pull through it.
@DankGardener - to me not sure you have 3 to 4 weeks left, the strain is supposed to be ready to harvest at 8 to 9 weeks, you are in that window currently, realizing that Fastbuds Strains often run over, you may if you have not already start checking trichomes - those are some awesome looking buds, the Cola's are just huge, you have dome a perfect job with this lady!
@MrJones, yes your right to check trichomes at this time they are still mostly clear also hairs are barely starting to turn color and curl but mostly white sticking straight out of buds that's where I am right now. Thanks though for advice
@DankGardener, Awesome information, just a friendly suggestion if you do not already, check your trichomes over the next few weeks, they are looking so awesome man!
@MrJones, I'm fairly new to autos but for my understanding is yes autoflowers will be ready in 9 weeks if I use bloom nutrients on week 4. But since I started bloom nutrients on week 6 I'm pretty sure she is going to be ready around week 12. But like I said this is my 3rd auto run 1st using synthetic nutrients. I read this info actually from fastbuds blog if I want a faster harvest use bloom nutrients on week 4 if I want a bigger autoflower/harvest use bloom nutrients on week 6.
Way to grow👌 The race is on👊
I have an Early Miss auto(28 days young) right around the same age and size as
your cheese, did you get your new light? I'm growing under california lightworks solar xtreme 500(love this light).
It pulls 400 watts and is plug and play, no adjustments required, just height
