I personally enjoyed growing this strain. It was my second time growing and it went pretty decently. I was expecting more dense buds, some of them were a little bit fluffy and airy, but still covered with trichomes and super smelly. Thay have a sweet but also dank smell. They're still drying so I will update the post later on with the smoke report and with the final weight which i think it will be around 60/70g per plant. Cant wait to taste it!😋 I think there are some better strain out there even from dutch passion, cause even if they had perfect rh and temp levels I still got some airy buds. I was expecting more from this strain. The best thing tho is that they can produce insane amounts of resin, which is perfect if you make hash. Not the best strain out there but still a good choice depending on what you need. Smoke report- after 2 months curing Creamy, with a note of lemon and kush. Pleasant smoke, it doesn't hit that hard, maybe due to the Led hanging too close to the canopy in late flower. Conclusion Pretty solid strain. It grows vigorous, and u can get big yields if trained properly. I suggest to wait until week 4 before making any kind of training. I personally harvested 200 g (dry) circa from 3 plants

One of the three seedlings has a slight turned leaf. it is a problem caused by too much heat?

Hey there! This is most likely a genetic mutation (completely normal!) or a little bit of wind damage. Just make sure your fan isn’t blowing directly onto the plants, I’d point the fan a little bit above the canopy so it is circulating the air above but it isn’t completely disturbing the leaves of the plant. Once she gets a bit bigger you can definitely have more direct wind to help strengthen the stalks but it’s not necessary and just an option some growers use to strengthen their plants. Good luck!

don't worry, they often look a bit strange in the beginning, i had some twisted leaves in my last grow too, that happens quite often, everythings looks fine to me! :) BUT: if u see twisted new grow in a later stage, it CAN be a sign of broad mites, but u will see other signs like yellowing leaves etc too. (u can only see broad mites with a microscope, if u have this, use neem oil and spray it on the whole plant (but never do this in flowering stage, u dont want neem oil in your buds!)). happy growing 😊

Looks completely healthy 👍 when a seedling isn't growing up it's growing down, that what I say at least. You have healthy color and growth 👍👊

Day 14, i went to check the ladies, and 9nw of the three got some darker spots in the middle of one leaf. What is it? Deficency? And what do you think of their growth rate?

You got some water on your leaves. If there is anything in the water it will leave a residue once the water evaporates. Nothing to be worried about. They look right on for 2 weeks. Happy growing.

I don't really know when to switch the veg light to the bloom one... the manufacter manual says to turn on both lights in pre-flower stage. What do u guys think? I also lowered the light (200w output) from 67 cm to 60, is it ok? (LED Viparspectra V 450)

I have the same light and I always keep both switches on for the full grow. 24” away during veg and 18” away in flower. I’d flip both switches on now and back the light up a little bit to avoid any light stress.

Today is day 20 from seed, and i decided to lst my seedlings, even if some friends suggested to wait until the 4th week. What do you guys think? Since autos are so fast at vegging i thought it was better to lst them now.

Hi! I think they can handle full power from the led at this point. It is 100W led. Just keep watching your girls how they react to more lights and you might need to lift the led for first couple days. When you hit the flowering you can bring the leds even closer or let the plants grow littlebit closer to the lamp

I have this bonsai lady which has been flowering for about 2 months, and i think it is ready. I also checked with a cheap microscope and the majority of the trichomes is milky. Shall I wait a little bit more? It smells amazing, pungent but fruity.

Hello yomi23, I will quote another grower: "Whenever you think that your bud is ready for harvest, wait another week". All trichomes should be milky and you should also see around 10-30% amber everywhere you look. If only the majority is cloudy and you see no amber whatsoever, that means it is not ready and it still needs some time. Good luck with your project, I wish you all the best! 👽

is it normal that autoflowers start to flower at the end of week 6? One of the three seedling has already started to flower, while the others have some pistils. I've been using the 20/4 schedule , i've read that switching to 12/12 force the plant into flowering. Is that true?

Hi! Yes 6 weeks is normal and actually you are quite lucky to have autos that takes so long to flower. I've done only one auto grow but it seems like 3-5 weeks veg is pretty common with autos. Using 12/12 lights is only for photoperiod strains and therefore the names also, autoflowers will start to flower when they are ready, no matter the light cycle, unless you have an autoflowering strain but that one pheno is not carrying the auto gene and therefore it need 12/12 but those are rare.

@FreshCoastOrganics, thx for your answer. Temperature is definitely ok, since it is always between 23°C - 27°C. I have 2 fans and one of them was pointing directly to the seedling so i decided to move it a little bit higher. Chill, just followed ure account :)

She’s looking almost ready, huh?? They look great man! 👍 I noticed similar issues growing in this medium... the main issue being cal mag deficiencies. If I grow Banana Blaze in this mix again I will most likely add calphos, gypsum pellets or oyster shell for the extra calcium and probably some basalt and rock dust for trace minerals to help prevent the deficiencies. I’m excited to see how these girls look trimmed up!

@yomi23, I noticed on my taller girl she’s experiencing a bit of light burn so id say she is a bit sensitive to intense lighting. The crop king white widow auto I recently harvested grew within an inch from the light and didn’t even burn so it’s a bummer I can’t push her as hard but at least she’ll probably be better on the terp side of it! But the new mix you mentioned should be way better! I’m anxious to see how your buds look dried! Thanks for the luck! 🤙😎
yomi23
yomi23
@FreshCoastOrganics, thanks mate! i think I kept the second led light too close to one of the three plants, and it got led burned. So i've pretty much ruined her, the buds are airy and there is little resin production. I think i will use it for bubble hash. The others 2 have a decent bud structure, many frosy colas, and i think it is gonna be a fair yield overall. I agree with you this medium was not the best option, as you i got calcium deficiencies and it doesn't really drain water well. I think next time i'm gonna use straight coco instead of the 50/50 light+coco, in addition with perlite. Worm castings+ basalt during veg, and i'm gonna stick with the compost teas, easy way to ensure resin and mass production during flowering, Cant wait to harvest! Good luck with your grow!
