hey all, a new diary for a new strain. Green gelato this time. This diary will present 2 plants in hydro and 2 plants in soil (whose 1 in a smart pot). It will begin soon, I will cut the last purple queen and launch the new strain.
I put the seeds in germination yesterday, I have 3 GG (1 hydro and 2 soil) and 1 purple queen (hydro).
I don't understood : One of the green gelato seeds germinate in less than 24h hours 😶 really surprised, so I put her in the smart pot yesterday (22/10/2020, and she seems to like that. I checked and The other seeds germinating quietly but surely., I have to buy some roots stimulant
27/10/2020 I put one seed of Green Gelato in hydro, the puprle queen seeed is dead, I think I stored it badly. So this time there will 4 green gelato seeds
Week 2, they grow pretty well, The purple queen seed didn't germinated (I guess I don't stored it well so she died). So this session will be 4 Green Gelato plants (2 in hydro and 2 in soil with classic pot and smart pot).
The hydro is 8 days old, and she seems to be healthy. the first roots grew up quickly, so I try something: I let this lil root grow entirely in the water for 3-4 days to see how the Oxyboost is efficient, and it is! without it, my lsd-25 and my Fastberry died like this in 3 days (I didn't had any experience ^^) but with the oxyboost, the roots is always white and healthy, And with a good roots booster, it's perfect. The result is that the hydro had caught up the smart pot and seems to overwhelmed it.
07/11/2020 week 2, 11th day for the hydro, she make some nice roots. I will begin to put the nutes soon on the soil plants and the hydro too.
Yesterday I planted a new green gelato seed in Hydro, at the beggining I thought she was albinos but with the light she take some green colors.
The girls grow nicely, the first 2 to be planted grows quickly. The second hydro is okay now and grow too. It's necessary to make other test, but I'm surprised that the hydro and the smart-pot are as fast one than the other.
12/11/20, 3d week. Everyone is okay in the blackbox, the first Hydro planted is growing nice and healthy roots, the little one in the plastic pot seems to manage the LST herself XD
15/11/2020, end of the 3d week, the growth is pretty nice, the 2 first to be planted are racing each other. My hydroponies are healthy and develop beautiful roots.
The growth this week was pretty cool from the 2 first seed to be planted. Of course I need another session to know if Hydro and smart-pot are really as efficient as the other. On the other hand, the difference between smart-pot and classic pot is final (I oubviously compare the speed of growth of each, and not the level of growth cause the smart-pot is older than the classic). Finally, I can confirm than the hydro is faster than the classic pot, the growth is faster.
4th week, 16/11/20, everyone is okay, the growths are quick.
19/11/20, I'm very surprised, since 2-3 days, the GG in the smart-pot is quicker than the hydro, it's amazing.
I thought they would be, the best, tied, but I'd never expected that the smart-pot could be quicker. The other 2 are healthy, they grow pretty well, the younger hydro is growing nice roots.
22/11/20 I change the water, the older hydro was a little bit thirsty.
week 5 23/11/20. I have a messy box ^^, the smart pot grown very fast so she is very tall now. I hope it will not be a problem with the light. I changed the water today, to have a correct nutes amount for a good grow. The little one in the plastic pot is really weird since the 1st week, it's not the same texture, not the same pheno.
26/111/20. PREFLO IS ON!! on the smart pot and the older hydro, the calixes are here, a good news. I hope that the 2 others will take some height during the next days (they were planted 1 and 2 weeks after the 2 others). I guess I will be forced to bend the top of the tallest plant, she grow very fast, I will bend it today. I fear a litlle a bad yield due to the weird one and the little hydro, I hope they will stretch.
29/11/20. End of the 5th week, pretty good. The smart-pot growing slower (2cm in 3 days), the preflo is on, as the older hydro. the little hydro is okay, she has 2 week late, so I hope yet that she stretch. The calssic potis really weird, I ask myself if I will destroy it, she began her preflo but with just 20 cm, she has a really odd aspect, I don't like her.
6th week, 30/11/20. I hesitate yet to remove the classic pot, she's too weird. She began her preflo stage but she isn't tall enoug, I prefer to free some place to my 3 others.
03/12/20. I removed the classic pot, it's sad but she was not good enough. The 3 others are allright, tommorow I will change the water of the hydro. The 2 olders creating nice colas, the smart pot have a nice height, I think I will buy a taller box (160 instead of 140) to get more vertical space.
Now I can say that the Green Gelato Auto from Royal Queen Seed is a good strain to grow, easy and strong. She deliver a good smell during the flowering stage. She can grow high so if you grow it in a box, think to watch the height of the plant and the box. The seed in the classic pot was very weird, so I guess thath the phenos are not really firm, and there's a risk to get triso plant ^^ (but it's the risk with lots of auto strain). Finally, I can say that I can't wait to smoke it, she looks very georgeous.
Week 7, 07/12/20, a new week begin, everyone is okay, since I removed the trisoweed in the classic pot, all is alright. I changed the water Monday, The taller hydro had a little defficiency that disapeared with a new water and a new dose of nutes.
The hydro, let's talk about it. The older one drink round 1L/day (the northern light didn't drink as much, but she wasn't as developed as the Green Gelato). The little one drink 1L for 2/3 days. Besides, the little hydro start to grow again (I noticed that she was stable during few days).
The smart-pot stop growing since a little week, she develop some nice buds, she's nearly white yet, I love it.
I think I will defoliate during the week, to free some place for the light towards the bottom buds.
09/12/20. I made a Defoliation this morning, around 20% of leaves which blocked the light to the bottom buds. talking about the buds, they get bigger day after day, it's marvelous.
I wanted to say something about the nutes doses. The doses that I give upper are the nutes I give for the hydro, for the earth I give the flowering doses for soil of course (Fgrow : 07ml/L ; Fmicro : 1.4ml/L ; Fbloom : 2.1ml/L).
11/12/20, I watered the smart pot today, she started to be thirsty, as the older hydro, which drink 1L/day now . The smell became stronger since the last update, it's crazy, a good fresh grass smell with some menthol notes. An omnipresent smell, very intense, I'm in love 😍.
This strain is a sativa dominant strain, with the sativa phenotypes, I ask myself If I will gather a good yield (I wish to gather a yield near that my purple queen and northern light, my previous grow, so around 115-120G). She grows high, higher than the purple queen (indica, nothing unnatural). This strain is really cool to grow, easy and strong, I think it could be a good strain for the LST and others kind of training
The next session is ready, I found some strain I want to grow (from sweet seeds and RQS) with a FIM and a LST ( since the time I want to appply this traing method). But to be sure that I can reach my yield goal ( I aim around 30G on one plant, I know it's possible). I will try this method in the remaining place in the tent (and I will document it in a diary) in the next days, in 3 weeks the current plants growing will be almost ready (it's a kind of turnover usefull in the case if the yield will be too weak).
8th week , 14/12/20.
1L/ day for the hydro, it's crazy, I knew that the staivas drinks more than the indicas strain, but wow, I wasn't expecting that ^^. I water the gronest pot every 3 days, maybe I could do it every 2 days, but i'm afraid of the overwatering (the earth is not really dry enough every 2 day for the watering).
The little one seems to carry on her grow, she was on standby during few days. She took 5cm since 2 days.
I found the next strain I will make, it will be a mix of indica (surely fat banana from rqs, or red poison or bloody skunk from sweet seeds) and sativa ( hulkberry RQS or dark devil sweet seeds). I will grow all of this with the method I gave last week. I wish to produce around 140-150G.
15/12/20. I just cut some leaves which blocked the light to the bottom buds.
16/12/20, mid-week (wednesday). I changed the water (the last time I do it was 10+days ago), the tallest hydro needed it, cause the last time I do it, she was in preflo, I hope the buds get still fat. I also watered the gronest-pot, she drink a lot ! Every one is okay in this little box,, no disease or bacteria, I love it!
I ordered 5L gronest pot. they're on their way actually but I don't have any shipping day yet, so I hesitate to germinate the last seed of green gelato or not.
After a long tought, I hesitate to cut the taller plant, in the gronest pot next week, I check the trichomes today, on all of the upper buds, and all of trichomes are milky. I really hesitate because I think that she's ready and it could be nice to have a new year weed, but I don't want to have a soft weed.
19/12/20. A little accident with the flowering hydro. The main stem is bent , but not dead, I put a scotch tube to keep the bud right.
Every one is allrigt, as usually, I add water with nutes today, they drink a LOT!! and I began to flush the gronest pot the next week, Wednesday to be true, so today it was 1.5l of normal water. So I put the water on the diary, but it's just fort the flush.
I received the 2l gronest's pots today, So my little experience will begin very soon, I will germinate the seeds today. I opened a diary on this experience.
This week will end gently but productively, I love it!
9th week, 21/12/20. Hey y'all, what's up? the girls are alright, I noticed a little deficiency from the older hydro plant, but I will manage that.
The little hydro is glocering slowly but surely, she's little so she will be more bushy.
I will gave her more space very soon, because I will cut the tallker one, in the gronest pot tomorrow or after tomorrow, she's ready, I checked all the buds with my microscope and all the trichomes are milky, few ambers, so it's perfect for me. I try a little flush this week with PH'd water, the last session wasn't flushed but I didn't notice any difference with the weed of my friends.
My experience is almost ready to go, the seed's sprout today. she will have more place too to get some light.
Mid week, 23/12/2020. I cut a big part of the gronest pot, I keep few nugs on the light to get them a little bit bigger.
I let the older hydro few days to grow bigger and to get all the trichomes milky (she's very too young to be cut, she still grow some translucent trichomes).
The younger one follow her flowering stage, she's healthy but she became bushy, so I cut all the useless leaves.
25/12/20. Hey ,Happy christmas y'all!!! lots of beautiful things in this tent, a kind of christmas present. The older hydro's trichomes are more and more milky, I will keep it in sight, maybe I will harvest it next week. The younger one keep is on her way too. she create nice colas, I hope there will be nice buds too.
I watered again the gronest pot with nutes to give some fat to the keeping buds.
A very good strain to grow. It's a real pleasure to see it grow and develop nice buds. this comment will evolve with the time, The gronest pot is a pretty good meaning to grow this strain. She gave some gorgeous buds, whitish and sweety.
Hey all, this harvest stage is only for the gronest pot. I want to separate them to have more "datas" to compare my different sessions. There will be a harvest stage for each of my hydro too.
23/12/20. I cut the upper buds, I let the smallest a few more days to get them a little bit bigger and more mature. I harvested 100g and cut 26g of cure. It's in the drying room right now. Of course I haven't finish the grow yet, I have to cut the end of the gronest pot, and I have the 2 hydros. I also leave the older hydro in peace to get her more mature too.
This time, I flushed the plant. I watered it 3 time with clear water. I will the if there is a big difference with my last session.
25G for the gronest plant, on the first cut, the second will be very soon.
01/01/2021. 2nd harvest for this plant in the gronest plant, this one I harvested 61g wet, I also harvested the older hydro, all the buds are actually in the drying room. I made 299 G wet for this Hydro. I don't know why, but the pics I made for the hydro harvest are not here, I will try to find them.
07/01/2020 Hey everyone, I lost the pics where I weighed the 2nd harvest wet, but I have the dry weight. 71G of dried green gelato. This weed is SO potent 😍
I have always the third plant in hydro. She's still flowering, there will be an update here when she will be ready. I put all the buds in Le Parfait pot, with a gasket.
22/01/2021. Hey everyone, last harvest on this session and this strain, I made 243 wet Gram today, I will add some nice pics after. See you for the dry weight ;) .
27/01/2021. End of this session, I made 143G dry, I'm really happy. The last session gave 117G.
Week 10, 28/12/20. Hey everyone, I hope Christmas was good for you :D . A new week so. I watered today (soil and add water with nutes in hydro). every one is healthy. The older hydro is healed, she make a kind of bulb to the place of the little weakness, thanks to the "harness" .
The gronest plant is okay, the buds got a little fat, the same for the older hydro. The younger is carry on her flowering without any problems.
30/12/20. Hey! Not lots of things to say, except that all is allright. I noticed a while ago that some leaves became purple. I asked myself if it was a problem or a dificiency, but no, the plants are healthy, the taller hydro healed in 2 weeks, so I guess it's just akind of "blackberry" pheno. It's weird because there is no blackberry plants in her genetic.
I guess I will cut the rest of the gronest pot very soon, during the week I guess. I check the buds on the microscope and they are really milky. The flowering hydro is ready too, so maybe I will harvest a first time too.
01/01/2021. Hey y'all, Happy new year :D, and all my wishes !!!! today's is a good day to start this new year. I cut the remaining buds of the gronest pot, as well as the older hydro, I totally cut her after a good trichomes check. They are totally cloudy, it's exactly what I seek.
The buds are really white, i'm impressed by this trichomes concentration and the effects, she's very good.
11th week, 04/01/2021. Hey everyone. This diary will end with just one plant ^^. The remaining plant is allright, healthy and producing lots of trichomes, I think she will offer a good yield. I will change the water very soon.
07/01/2021. Hey all !!! it's very calm now in this tent, this hydro carry on her flowering nicely, I will change the water today with good PH and nutes.
10/01/2021 Hey, there is not a lot to say, so end of the week, she's allright. She start to change in a true flowering plant, and she develop nice buds.
12/01/2021, new week. What to say? This stage is weird, it's the stage where lots of things happens, the plant change a lot, but I have not a lot to say. It's very calm, she's carry on her flowering slowly but surely.
I really love this moment where I see the buds get bigger and whiter, day after day. I think she will give anice yield.
16/01/2021. Hey, all is good here. this plant got a little bit bigger this week, pretty nice. I noticed that I have very few gnat in the box, I try to beat them.
I build a stand for the box, it's really more comfortable.

I decided to cut tomorrow. I wanted to do it today, but I didn't have the time. I'm happy with this strain. It's a really strong, easy to grow and potent strain (she's really good for techniques as topping or FIMing). I'm almost sad to end this session ^^.
@Celesto,yeah thanks for your advices dude ;) the FIM and LST is the program for my little experience with the last seed of green gelato I had (she's germinate :p ), I will FIM her around the 3d week (around 20 days) and LST it , I saw I can do that on an autoflo when she's healthy. I want to see if I can increase the yield on 1 autoflo plant and be trained for the next session.
Yeah your method is longer but the yield could be very very high, I can't wait to see it :p ^^ thanks dude, good luck you too with your growths
@skyzohpanda, ah ouai génial la famille des Snow, elles montent assez haut en général, c'est une bonne idée d'utiliser celles ci pour la technique FIM, penses à leurs laisser quelques jours de rétablissement entre deux tailles FIM car il s'agit de HST (High Stress Training). Si tu FIM les branches, pense également à combiner la technique LST en attachant tes branches pour les étaler et de bien rester en programme croissance, ton pied va devenir un buisson énorme, cela rallonge ton temps de croissance mais au final tu le regrette pas.
Je souhaiterais pouvoir diriger la Gelato #33 *3 vers l'extérieur pour 2021 et la placer au printemps dans un pot de 200L 😁 En ce moment je pince les somités du plant et des branches, croissance vers le haut est retardé mais cela favorise les croissances inférieur ! 🙂 Bonne chance pour ton projet de FIM et avec ta Green Gelato 😉
@Celesto,yeah she's very surprising, I want to try a fem too, the gelato and her selections are awesome too. I search a fem like this to try some training like FIMming on branches. I will try so ;)
Les fleurs de la Gelato sont vraiment belle !! Une forme de fleurs que j'adore !! J'aime bien ta configuration de Box, c'est Simpa l'Hydro ! Si je peux me permettre de te conseiller, tu devrais peut être essayer de mettre ta lampe plus basse lors du Stretch en début de floraison, ou essayer la technique d'étetage, les fleurs sont belles, ta lampe Mars Hydro est top mais tes plantes on fait beaucoup de tige.. c'est dommage je pense que si tu changer cela tu ferais une plus grosse récolte ;-) sinon jolies fleurs encore ;-)

Yeah I understand your technique now, it's my objective right now with my little experience, I want to FIM the 3d node and LST to get all the buds going up towards the light.

@skyzohpanda, oui, je suis français et malheureusement là où la dépénalisation fait son Escargot 🐌. Oui j'avoue que pour moi c'est la même chose, je reste bloqué sur les bourgeons. J'adore ces tétons qui sortent dans tout les sens. Pour la technique dont je te parle en quelque sorte avec le FIM ou même étetage, tu vas favoriser la pousse des branches inférieur et en combinant avec le LST tes plantes seront moins haute c'est sûr, la lumière éclairera plus de partie de tes plantes. Je te conseil de regarder sur le sites les rubriques qui concernent le LST. Et je te disais aussi que tu pouvais mettre ta lampe plus proche de tes plantes dès que tu vois les pistils blanc au début de la floraison, ceci permettra à tes plantes d'avoir la lumière suffisante pour ne pas avoir besoin de créer beaucoup de tige. Moins de tige , plus de fleurs, résultat : plus grosse récolte je vais faire comme ça moi aussi maintenant !

Because I am!! 😂 thanks a lot, I love these buds shape too, they are really beautiful, I spend 2 minutes to watch a buds befor to smoke it :D Thanks for the advice, If I well understand this trick is usefull to get the plant lower? I don't know the extinguishing technique. Yeah I was a little bit surprised and sad when I saw my Gronest pot creating stems as tall as this. ;)

Et le 2eme pot tu as mis le poids humide mais pas sec.. Désolé je veux pas t'embêter mais je m'intéresse 🤗 petite parenthèse, ce n'est pas méchant, mais lorsque tu pèse quand c'est sec, tu pourrais enlever les branches qui ne se fume pas pour la photo plizzz même si ça fait un résultat à 1 chiffre xP je te taquine regarde ma récolte précédente xD des barres de rires !
@Celesto, Hey, yeah uou're totally right, I forgot to weight this main buds, but I haven't touch it yet, so I can do it yet. The second pot were not dry yet, today is okay, so there will be an updates today ;) (and I loste the wet weigh on the older hydro, so I have to find it on my phone).
