This was a freebie seed that I got from Trophy Seeds when I ordered two new seeds. Fast buds have truly amazing strains and I am looking forward to see this pink/purple budded plant grow.
Still very small but has also doubled in size in more than a week.
Can't wait to see her progress as she also lives in a old Milo can. Hoping to see some explosion this week.
Still very young but Fast buds have crazy strains. This plant is growing at an insane pace.
Every day she is just boosting and I am very happy with her progress.
Fast Buds always deliver super happy plants. This auto had a slow start and was attacked by some caterpillars in the week.
Very light colours on the plant and she is starting to get that purple edge. Can't wait for the flowering to start.
Purple purps. I do rate growing fast buds outdoor in the southern hemisphere is not advised.
This is a light hungry plant and with my previous grow I saw that they simply do not produce big buds.
Still very excited to see her developing some beautiful colours.
Her purple buds are so vivid. I am amazed how the guys at Fast Buds actually get this right.
Buds are starting to get bigger and I added some epsom salts in the watering schedule the past week.
I was hoping for bigger flowers on this plant but like ive seen with other Fast Bud strains is that they require atleast 18 hours light.
She is only getting about 10-12 hours a day. Still cool to see the purple buds.
Supposed to be her last week in flowering but her trichomes has a still a bit to go.
Smelling fantastic! Buds are still not there yet. Fast buds are not meant to be grown outdoor.
This is my 2nd Fast Buds strain but they want a 18 hour light cycle. I can only offer 12 hours at the moment.
This has proven to me that I simply don't know how to grow fast bud strains outdoor.
The plant needs 18 hours of light and I could only provide her with 10. Small stick like buds but from now on I will stick to growing photo periods.
What surprised me was how the insects attacked this plant.
I've grown the blackberry kush from dp and the purple lemonade both had lovely colours and smell and taste was there to a degree but the structure is always a problem for me with purple strains but very cool that you grew her outside I wish I could experiment with outdoors but too meny theifs and nosy people 🙄
@MrRaid Man, this comment hit such a sore spot. I live close to the equator, great weather and tons of sunlight, fertile soil and fresh air. But also bored cops, nosy people and a fuckload of thieves.
@Qlimax, Thank you. I hope you growing her indoor?
This is my second fast bud strain that I have done outdoor and they not made for outdoor.
Minimum 18 hours of light required. Smells incredible though. Its literally blackberry scented.
Not many people here do only outdoor so good to see some others. And thanks again for all the likes.
As for your comment about them not producing for you...what latitude are you at? I’m at 53 N which means long days with good UV intensity from mid-May to Mid-Aug which means I have to grow autos outdoors but that’s totally fine by me. There is more than enough time between frosts in the grow season but the sunlight is too weak after the end of August to get nice buds. So it’s all about timing around the frosts and the solstice.
If you’re in Australia (Sydney is 33 S so comparable to Los Angeles at 34 N) your limiting factor is likely heat. Plants stop photosynthesizing at about 27 C. If you can keep them cool enough (shade, mister) they should do fine outside. I also think cool nights help for some reason.
Anyway, best hobby in the world. Cheers and good luck next season.
@Northern_Ent, best hobby in the world for sure man!
My latitude is comparative of Sydney. Awesome info thanks. My autos did well this summer. Just planted them a month early.
def going to try the fast buds the next season
Congrats on the harvest mate. Looks like some lovely bud too! No wonder the bugs were into it 😄
I’ve seen a lot of mixed results with fast buds outdoors here.
I agree with you that they would benefit from extending light hours, especially in early weeks.
But for me (only outdoor), I haven’t done well enough with autos and I will stick with photos.
Well done ww 👍
@Shooey, dude the bugs were so hectic!
Yeah im sticking to the photos. Dutch passion has some awesome XL auto strains that do well in the summer time.
Thanks a lot :)
If you don't have to be discreet, you can EASILY extend their photoperiod by just supplementing with some 3000k LED (outdoor security lighting), or even an HPS on your patio. Just run them for long enough to get 18 hours total light per day (or more)
I have a pair of these (150w 3000k) that I use..from about 30"-36" and it's enough to get good results:
https://www.amazon.com/STASUN-Security-330%C2%B0Wide-Adjustable-Waterproof/dp/B07GJBBKL4/ref=sr_1_23?dchild=1&keywords=3000k%2Bsecurity%2Blights&qid=1607974044&sr=8-23&th=1
But..here's a killer deal:
400w (actual)..would light up most of your patio like the mid-day sun...for just over $100:

You just have to wire some plug ends onto them.
I also have one of these that works great for a single plant, or two smaller ones:

Just put them on a timer that comes on at dusk and runs several hours, and have the timer come on again at dawn and run for a couple hours along with the early day sun to maximize your PAR.
