Ghost Train Haze Bag Seed Grow - Notes from Week 1 Chose one seed out of five that I found while smoking a ton of the stuff a while back. I’m in love with this strain honestly, it’s probably my number two all time favorite to smoke. Definitely not for the inexperienced or people prone to smoked-induced anxiety, this tasty baby came from a 27% THC Sativa leaning hybrid that hits heavy and hard with a euphoric, mind-blitzing Indica-like, brain meltdown of an experience. She’s a fuck you up, slap you across the cheek kind of girl that makes you wonder if your bowl was laced with something extra as you inhale smoke from the strain the caterpillar in Alice in Wonderland was probably smoking. I’m so excited for this grow honestly. I’m not one to go for the same strain over and over again whether it’s for a smoke or grow, but I’ll definitely be growing through all five Ghost Train Haze seeds and see if I’m lucky enough to get a male from the bunch to breed some more seeds with. They run about a 100 usd for six fem seeds (84, 85 euro approx.) and I keep seeing them being sold out in reputable banks, so I’m feeling seriously lucky already. I have a few other strains I’m juggling already right now, so I’m not looking to grow all five Ghost Train Haze seeds at once if I can avoid it. I really want to produce more of these seeds for the future though, so I may bite the bullet and invest in a sex test for the plants so I can keep the first gender in veg while I search for a breeding partner in the remaining seeds. Another benefit is that if I know a plant is male, I can keep it small and don’t need to worry about training it for yield since just a few pollen sacs is enough to get a huge number of seeds off a female plant. The only real consideration I’ll need to take is during his flower, when I’ll need to keep the male separate and as sealed off as possible from my main grow room. My plan is to send the male into the flower stage a few weeks ahead of the female, since I can keep the pollen stored for a month in the fridge without issue. Once the area I keep him in before harvest is sanitized and uncontrolled pollination is a lot less likely, I’ll move the female into that same space and choose bud sites to brush the pollen on during week four of her flowering (when she’s most likely to be affected by the pollination). Spacing out the male/female flower periods like this will give me as much control as possible over which areas produce seeds while reducingthe chance that I’ll accidentally bring pollen into my main grow room. If there’s no male then I’ll just have the time of my life with smoking the fem flower lol. For this first grow I chose the smallest of the five seeds, because why not? Color-wise it’s got the same gorgeous tiger striping, shape, and hard shell as the other four; the only difference visually is in size. 10/21 Took the seed and placed in a paper towel that’s wet but not dripping, before putting it in a Ziploc bag. I got a new seed mat recently and it’s nice, but get’s things a little too toasty for my liking. I put down a hand towel between the seed and the mat to help protect it from getting too hot. 10/22 Lol what a little superstar. I put my Ghost Train Haze down for germination at about 10pm last night and checked on it at 10am today – and they’ve not only cracked, but stuck out their taproot too. On such a tiny seed it’s ridiculously adorable but definitely no less impressive after such a short time (compared to my Berry Bomb Auto – different diary, that took a while just to crack). Since it’ll be a bit before I can do the genetic testing, i’ll just put the seed in a smaller pot and get the first few nodes going before testing and transferring to a second pot. If this first one ends up male I’ll keep it small and comfy till I can find a female. If this seed ends up female, I’ll eventually transfer her into a 5 or even 7 gallon fabric pot, because I want to get bud sites for smoking and seed sites to collect from. Having the option to get more of both by making her big and strong will be ideal, and I’m willing to lose some growing space reserved for other strains or even invest in another tent/light setup just for this project since it’s so dear to my heart. I’m so freaking excited guys lol, what a great start to this thing. 10/23 No signs of the root pushing out further, but honestly since the tap root came out anyway I’ll just plant the little guy. I put him in a gallon sized pot with Fox Farm Ocean soil to start (but I may switch to Rogue soil in the next repotting, it’s a company that happens to be local to my area anyway and it has the same stuff as Fox Farm, but with some added benefits that I’m still researching). I actually prepped the pot yesterday after seeing the seed germinate, just mixing and fluffing up the soil with some water I’d added a tiny dash of cal/mag to, PH and checked the ppm for. Actually, yeah. I’ll go do it now since I’m doing midweek pics and check-ins for my other diaries anyway. Update: Planted Ghost Train Haze. I really hope it’s a little dude for this first one honestly. I love the flower this strain produces so much that it would take a load off my mind to know I’ve managed to create an access line for myself in the future too by managing to breed some seeds. There’s a decent chance the seeds I found were from a lady plant that went hermie…so we’ll see. 10/24 I decided to go ahead and try germinating another two seeds (which brings the total number of Ghost Train Haze seeds I’m working on to three). No sign yet of the first seed popping up, but I’ll give it another few days before I worry. 10/26 That first seed never showed signs of growth, so for now I’ll just keep it potted and misted while I see if I can get a marijuana miracle out of her. The two other seeds seem pretty okay though – the middle sized seed cracked first (but then took longer to grow out the root), while the larger seed (largest of the Ghost Train Haze seeds I have) took longer to crack but had the tap root growing quick and healthy right from the start. Hell yeah. If the seed’s start was an indicator of its health, then I’ll probably use it in the breeding pair, or maybe even just keep it as a mother plant to clone GTH from anytime I want to grow the strain. It’s not really my style to keep a strain perpetually but when you find the one, you find the one I guess lol. Oh man, I really wonder what the rosin yield and taste would be. It’s a dope smoke, but it might knock someone out to dab the stuff. I’m intrigued to a whole new level. 10/27 Holy Ganjatown Batman, we got a sprout out of the big seed already! I’m gonna call it GTH Biggie from now on to help keep the plants separate. The tiny seed I first germinated still hasn’t sprouted, which is def a bummer. Not too worried about the third one yet, I just planted it yesterday and wasn’t expecting the kind of insane growth that Biggie’s given me. Hopefully this one makes it, but if not then I’ll have to resort to germinating my last two Ghost Train Haze seeds since the only one that seems to be thriving so far out of my current three is Biggie.

I wish I could double grow with real zooms under the plants 😝 Good luck with your grow 🙌 I've always wanted to grow a haze strain

@ThrashedTV_BakedByGlaze, I'll be honest i've definitely thought about it lmao, could be a really fun experiment since conditions and temp mostly work pretty well together
