•••••••••••••••••••••••••• Oct. 24 - Oct. 30 •••••••••••••••••••••••••• 🌱 SOWED - 10/24 🌱 •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• WEEKLY SUMMARY: •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 🙋‍♀️Fo' Twenny here!🙋‍♀️ Today, we are germinating a seed for another new cultivar. Meet 👩‍🎤🏗️ ROCK MACHINE, this cultivar is bred by DOCTOR'S CHOICE SEEDS! Huge thanks to everyone at DOCTOR'S CHOICE for giving me the opportunity to try out some of their genetics! This is a mostly Indica feminized autoflower that is supposed to finish after only 65-80 days from germination. It is stated to have a "Very high" THC content and rock hard buds. This strain has a 10/10 rating on GD. This should be a good one! I hope you'll follow along and join me to see how she develops! Any advice, suggestions, or constructive criticisms are always welcome. Now, for the weekly break down! •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• THIS WEEK'S BREAK DOWN •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 10/24 - GERMINATION: DAY 1 °°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° 📸 PHOTOSHOOT 📸 👩‍🌾 SEED SOWN 👩‍🌾🏻 - Germination will take place in a Jiffy Peat Pellet placed in soil/coco mix in a Black 8" tall Active Aqua brand 6" x 6" one gallon square pot. The same solution was used to soak Jiffy Peat Pellets and surrounding soil. 👩‍🔬NUTRIENT SOLUTION👩‍🔬 ⬇️Mixing Rundown⬇️ - The solution starts with 4 oz tap H2O through two kdf filters mixed in an 18 oz Solo cup. Peat pellets were soaked in solution. The solution is then applied to the surrounding medium by gently pouring from a plastic Solo cup. Huge thanks to everyone at DOCTOR'S CHOICE SEEDS for allowing me the opportunity to test their genetics! I am very excited to see what this little seedling will grow up to look, smell, and taste like. This AUTOFLOWER will stay in the veg tent on an 18/6 light cycle throughout the run. She is rated a 10/10 on grow diaries, but only has one harvest recorded. I am really not sure what to expect, but I am optimistic and thankful for the medicine she will provide. Give this diary a follow to see how she progresses! Water/Nutrients are fed as needed, typically on a bidiurnal interval. She receives probably between 2-6 ounces every other day around the base of the plant when the medium is dry. I try to water just before wilting begins. Any advice, suggestions, or constructive criticisms are always welcome. Huge thanks to everyone at DOCTOR'S CHOICE SEEDS for allowing me the opportunity to test their genetics! This cultivar is still just a baby, but she is a nice bright shade of green and is growing quickly. Any advice, suggestions, or constructive criticisms are always welcome. Now, for my weekly notes! •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 👃 AROMA: Smells like chlorophyll. ❇️ BUD STRUCTURE: N/A 🎨 COLOR: She is a nice healthy vibrant shade of green. 🌿 STEM, STRETCH, & INTERNODES: Her stem is growing thicker and she has tight internodal growth. ✂️ TRAINING/PRUNING: I want to wait until she gets a little bit taller before starting any pruning or training. ❄️TRICHOMES/RESIN PRODUCTION: N/A 🚿 WATER/FEED: Water as needed; typically, every other day. 📝 OBSERVATION/NOTES: She looks happy and healthy with no apparent indications of deficiency, toxicity, disease, infestation, or any other stress. It took me a few weeks to figure out, but it turns out I had purchased some bogus pH 7.0 reference solution. My meter actually calibrated with the solution the first time I calibrated with it and the next time it started spitting out errors when calibrating. It turns of the pH of the reference solution was 9.3. Some of our plants fared better than others, but they were all definitely stunted to some degree. Unfortunately, this particular cultivar seems to have been hit the hardest. While unfortunate, it was a good experience because important lessons have been learned regardless of the damage that was done. •••••••••••••••••••••••••• Jan. 7th - Jan. 13th •••••••••••••••••••••••••• 👩‍🌾 SOWED: Oct. 24th 🌱 SPROUTED: Oct. 29th 🗓️ WEEK: 7 of Bloom 🏁 ESTIMATED FINISH: TBD •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• If you missed the last update, you missed that I had purchased some bunk pH 7 calibration solution and threw off my pH. At the time, I had no idea what was going on because I had calibrated my meter and everything looked like it was in range. I had also recently upgraded to RO/KDF filtered water and was thinking maybe it was a cal-mag thing, which may still have been a contributing factor in the problems I have been experiencing. This week, I decided to recalibrate my meter, and started getting error codes. At first I was worried the meter might have been going out and based off my plants, I knew pH was a likely culprit. I really want to get a good digital soil pH meter if anyone has any recommendations based on personal experience. Happy growing y'all! ✌️☺️💨 ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
