Week 6 Veg
The Fat Banana has now been transplanted into a 5gal Root Pouch. This will be her final pot, so she'll soon be thrown into the flower tent!
When transplanting (even when growing in coco), it's better to let the pot dry a little bit more than usual as it keeps the coco from falling apart. I also try not to over water her once she's in her new pot. I find doing this will slow her recovery and growth, and prevents her roots from growing into the new substrate sooner in search of water/nutrients. It's important to still give plenty of water, but not quite enough to create a run off.
Overall she's looking happy and healthy and looking forward to next week! I didn't realise I didn't take many pics of this girl this week, so more to come next update.
Thanks for following and happy growing! πΊ
@biggreens420, @magnetous, seems to be a common thing! Haha. I left her to try and open up herself for most of the day, but she didn't make any progress so a couple hours before lights out I opened her up. I'm pretty sure she would have died otherwise. I only popped the one. I'll look forward to seeing yours too mate βοΈ I upload at the end of every week.
Haha Big G, check out my IG, I've got a nice little RQS merch giveaway for anyone in the UK thats wants to get involved. There'll be 2 winners! βοΈπΊ
The exact same happened to me too with one of the seeds, had to open the shell myself. We'll see how it goes for the 3 others that are popping right now after more than a week in the smart start! (against 48hrs for the first two)
Did all of yours open quickly?
I'll be putting my diary online next week as I wait for all the beans to be planted.
Indeed looks great man! I myself have some fat bananas (3) in the tent so I've been watching biggreen and your diaries close. It's my first time so I hope you can do a good report about the flush I still don't really get if you should just give water the last week(2?) or run the 30 liter threw it or both!? π Anyways this gives me good feeling about the strain good luck bro!!
@XII_XII_MRGreen, nice one man πππ for the last 14+ days I flush up to 30ltr every time until I have a low enough ppm value in the coco. After that I just water as normal, but by then they don't need feeding as much as they drink less βοΈπΊ
@TheFoxFarmer,exact same with mine bottom buds were a lot better formed than the top hope u get better top buds than me all my buds were like 2pound coin size at the biggest but solid as hell and grinds out well
@biggreens420, yeah it's more the light than anything. Her tallest top buds are foxtail-ish and light stressed, but the lower tops have normal structured top buds. All of her lower nugs are fattening up beautifully ππͺ cheers mate βοΈπΊ
I'm gonna give that a try because every time I transplant I water to runoff and could be slowing them down nice one fox looking nice and healthy beautiful roots as always
Amazing frost here!! You won't be running out of trichs with this one! The shape of the buds is so beautiful! The colors too! Nice one!
Mines are tricky... lot of amber trichs but they really don't look like they are finished at all! π
@Magnetous, cheers mate πβοΈ that's a strange one, although the trich's aren't necessarily my first indicator for harvest. I look at the whole plant, the bud structure and also how well flushed they are. I don't mind taking them a little further to get a better flush πβοΈπΊ
