I germinated using a jiffy pellet and keeping it dark, in a small greenhouse. On day 4 she popped above soil. No issues to report of, but I noticed that when new leaves are produced from the centre of the plant, they are yellow and then gradually turn green...not something I have come across before...the plant seems happy enough!
Update 25/03/18: New camera, Canon Powershot SX430IS. It is going to take some getting used too so bear with me!
Growth is going strong. The yellowing that I mentioned has pretty much stopped now, not sure what that was about...maybe just a trait of the strain. Looking forward to actually smoking this one as I have heard good things!
Getting some explosive growth from the lower developing bud sites, I have trained, and restrained some of the branches to encourage wider growth, which this strain seems to love! Very happy plant.
This is another one of my plants that don't like it's fan leaves tucking! It lasts for a couple of hours and then when I go to check on the plants later, they are all praying hard again!
Update 03/04/18: This plants growth is impressive, responds really well to training and is very well behaved! 😄Spreading out wide and vertical growth is good. Starting to flower.
Like in my other plants, this has been subjected to one or two feeds, with water with a very high pH due to a faulty meter...oops :(
The leaves are showing symptoms of nutrient burn which could be due to the fact that the incorrect pH caused the nutrients to be absorbed incorrectly.
To try and correct I have been feeding with water at a pH of around 5.5, for around a week. The soil pH is now around 6.
Apart from the leaves, the growth of the plant is OK although it's slowed down (but this could be natural) The bud sites are starting to build and already starting to see some frost. Which is a good sign of this being 20%++ THC!
Really starting to kick into flower now. Getting a nice frost developing and already starting to smell nice.
The leaves are a little burnt, I am putting it down to the issues I had with pH a couple of weeks ago. It looks a little unsightly but the plant seems to be developing well.
I am quite surprised at how low she has stayed especially considering that the light is well over a meter away, maybe she will do some stretching yet. Not that I really mind, but it seems a little different to the usual grow style of Dutch Passion, i find they like to grow high normally... Then again this is a cross between Dutch passion and Budda seeds so maybe that's why its got its own style!
The buds are starting to swell up nicely and putting out some very glittery frost. 👌
I have no doubt the THC content will be high as promised!
Looking forward to seeing how the buds develop over the next few weeks. Looking forward to trying this one!
The buds are really starting to swell up now. Density is really high, lots of rock-solid buds.
Tons of frost, resin production is really ramping up. I always like adding Bud candy during flower to encourage tons of resin productions.
Been searching for amber trichomes but only cloudy at the moment so easily another 2-3 weeks before a 2 week flush,
Started the 2 week flush process yesterday. Getting a few amber trichomes, so in 2 weeks time should be perfect for harvesting.
She has some absolutely rock solid buds. Really looking forward to harvesting this one!
She was a very easy plant to grow and train. She took really well to LST and grew without any issues. She does contain a good amount of THC (DP state 20%) and I think that there is truth to that. Its very frosty and the effects are potent and quick acting! I have to be honest I am not a big fan of the terps I am getting during the cure. I have to be totally honest and say that I slightly over dried the bud but there is not much satisfaction in terms of smell. But it does smoke quite nicely!
Overall this was a very easy plant to grow. I think with more optimal conditions next time i could get a better yield. Although 2.5 oz from an autoflower shorter than 80cm is pretty good going! The effects of the strain are good, but not the best I have ever tasted,,,I would recommend for you to give it a go however!
