We spent a week under CFL's while we got used to life, but after day 5 we moved to our forever home under 1 of 2 of the SF1000 lights. Night time temps are a little chilly at the moment, falling into the low 60's and the humidity is lower than ideal (35-45 when the dome is dry) but we're getting those sorted. Temps will probably run a little lower throughout the dark periods but we should be in the low to mid 70's for all of the lights on period and if anything I'll just have some slightly stunted but extra colorful buds in a few months. There was supposed to be a World of Seeds Afghan Kush Ryder in this mix too but I lost that one to a little damp off. I tried to germinate in soil to avoid transplanting since it was an auto but I think I'll stick with my glass of water/paper towel method in the future.

Updating this a little late, apologies! So it’s been a little cold at night, nearly problematically so. A handful of nights crept into the high 50’s and these young ladies were not a fan. Also, you may notice there are only 2 girls here. The Gelato came later than expected but it caught up in the dome, faring far better with the more amenable conditions, you’ll see how well she’s catching up in later posts! Anyways, no nutes here yet, but sometime in the next 2 weeks I’ll shyt the bed and get the dregs of a grow big bottle onto the GSC and she still hasn’t forgiven me for that scorching! Enjoy!

Struggling the low temps and super low humidity. Will be repotting in the next 2 weeks, but you won’t see these ladies again until they get topped and I must say between the awful conditions and the topping stress these girls looked terrible for a couple weeks straight, but we’re getting back on track. More posts to come!

I’m not sure what’s worse this week, the conditions or the pictures! 🤷‍♂️🏻 Anyways, they look much better next week I promise! Still hella cold with lights out, low 60’s, humidity never above 40-45, should make for some good colors and resin when I flower these ladies. Looking to switch in the next 2-3 weeks after a heavy defoliation and time to recover before flip. GSC and GreenCrack were topped, all were repotted into 5gal smart pots. I considered trying to strictly LST the Gelato but I honestly just got frustrated trying to keep the top down without cracking the stem, so she was topped about 10 days later than the others and has nearly caught up to the others, although GreenCrack has really started to flourish, heavily branching!

So I’m still trying to catch this diary up, and the pics are terrible again, sagging after a watering, a fresh round of bending and tucking and not long before lights out to boot. I promise I’ll get some mediocre shots of these at least once before I flip to flower. Heavy defoliation coming as soon as I can get these temps under control, then recovery and the flip to 12-12. Also, just a fun fact for anyone who’s actually reading this, I have now passed a 2 month cure on my last batch of Blimburn GSC and also Cafe Racer and they are fantastic! I prefer cafe racer, they are very similar but gsc hits heavier and more sedating while cafe racer has been a higher high with more florallyfruity notes. See ya next week!

This is more like week 6.5 but it will likely be the last update before I switch these ladies into flower. The GSC has finally recovered from her nute scorching early on, the Gelato has caught up nicely in size and the GreenCrack has absolutely taken off like a rocket. I did a medium defoliation, the temps are still lower than I’d like so I’m trying to manage their stress, but I opened up the canopy inside, squeezed a few stems and retied all the tops down and out to hopefully get these girls to fill out the screen I’ll be putting up in the next week or 2. Anyways, the pics are still terrible, the environment is meh, but I pulled almost 2g/watt last time off 4 in this same tent, so hang in there and I promise the bud shots are coming

Flower week 1 what whaaaaaaaat?! Alright, so they’re mildly defoliated, and I skipped the usual lollipopping since the temps have been so cold and I don’t want the extra stress, but I may do it a few weeks from now or I may just let them go au naturale. Looking at these girls now they’ve certainly come a long way from their rough childhoods, haven’t they? The Gelato is shaping up to be a low leaf volume variety which I am absolutely thrilled about. GreenCrack looks hella sativa leaning, maybe even leafier than my SShaze from last round. This GSC variety also looks like it could be the sativa pheno as well, although it’s from the same bag of beans as the one from my last batch and she was very OG golf ball nugs and medium-long internodes, but we’ll see what happens! I’m not a photo guy but I think I actually got some not pure garbage shots to showcase what’s going on in the tent, I hope a few of you will stick around with me, it’s only gotten better and it will only get better! Also, the trellis isn’t finished yet, I’ve got to add a support to attach it to the backside of the tent but they’re almost up to it and pretty even for a 3 week staggered start! 10 main tops on each of them, about 30 primary colas forming on the GreenCrack, 16-20 for GSC and around 16 for the Gelato as well although I expect her to be mostly tops with a handful of popcorn nugs. Anyways, if you read all of this, thanks! I’m hoping to be able to look back on this and learn so I find the details helpful! See ya next week!

Not as much excitement as I’d hoped for this week with the start of flowering week 2, but it’s always full of anticipation until 4-5 weeks in anyways. I upgraded the trellis net to its final setup and cleaned up the undergrowth a little bit as well although it was still done pretty mild by most standards. Pulled off a few of the larger fan leaves that were in the inside canopy to open up some new sites. Currently looking like 20-25 prime bud sites for each but the GreenCrack is taking up a little more room than the other 2, and I hope that during the next week or 2 of stretch I’ll get the whole trellis filled up but time will tell! Anyways, no new pistils coming yet, probably a little stressed from the defoliation and renewed training, more pics coming next week, thanks for checking in!

Let’s call it week 2.5 Not a whole lot going on yet, some pistils coming in but minimal flower development at this point. I defoliated fairly heavily this weekend and opened up the canopies and that will be the last major stress I put on them. I’ll pull some fan leaves inside the canopy area later on but no more major stripping. Should have some buds coming in the near future, always exciting!

I think the stretch is nearly done, they could have filled out a little better but overall I’m pretty pleased, this is the fewest I’ve run in here and to have it this even and filled out im pleased. If low temps stunt growth we will find out soon, these had a brief stint in the mid 70’s toward the end of veg but they’ve been experiencing sub 50 degree nights for basically the whole run. Anyways, flowers are coming in, probably towards the end of next month, but who knows, they’re never simple. Thanks for checking this out!

They’re finally doing their thing. There’s a little smell in the tent now, not crazy but definitely there. The cold temps definitely have them using way less water and nutes but they’re still doing ok despite lights out temps in the 40’s. The Green Crack has gone from the most to the least impressive in my opinion although I’m still looking forward to trying out the flowers. The gelato has blown me away, you’d never know it was 2 weeks younger than the others besides it being a little behind on the flower. Hoping to chop these ladies next month, thanks for hanging out with me for this run, bud shots coming next update!

Fell behind a little with this, next update will include 2 weeks but this one will be short and sweet. Hella cold at night, probably stunting them a little, but they’re still marching on. Little bit more pungent smell now, the gelato is oddly sweet. Gsc is typically earthy dank, GC is basically just pure skunk. See ya next time!

Super duper cold at night, everything seems to be ok. Light nutrients compared to usually and no signs of deficiencies yet so I assume everything is ok. Was hoping to chop next week but they’ve still got a ways to go. We’ll see how long they take, always very easy to get impatient at this point! Thanks for checking in!

They’re getting close! I could probably chop the GSC and GC but the Gelato has at least 2 weeks to go. I was hoping to bring them all down at once and dry in the tent but I may have to figure something else out. I think this is the most aesthetically pleasing garden ive grown so far. I enjoy all manner of plants and in general the GC is the nicest looking mj plant I’ve ever produced. I’d love a porch full just for the look! Anyways, all these girls are a little stunted from all the cold nights. Dark temps under 60, a lot under 50-55 for most of their lives but they look good, and still very frosty. Never had gelato or GC before so im excited to try them out, thanks for dropping by!
