No issues with germination! I started in a glass of water for 24 hours. Then I moved to the paper towel method and got a decent sized taproot in about 1.5 days.
Planted directly in final medium, which is a 3 gallon pot of Fox Farm Ocean Forest mix. I’m hoping I’ll have better luck with an actual soil mix.
Not too much to report this week. She’s looking great! So far so good with using soil! 2nd set of leaves are coming in, and then I’m hoping she’ll be off to the races!
Still growing strong! I had tried to initially train earlier, but decided to wait until she grew a bit taller. Today I bent the plant pretty far over and close to the edge.
This is my first time doing LST, so I hope I’m doing it correctly and didn’t start to early. I wanted to start earlier rather than later since it’s an autoflower.
I plan to start introducing nutes in the middle of this week, so we’ll see how it goes!
Still working on LST this week! A lot of self doubt and rearranging the ties. I need to stop haha. But everything seems to be going well overall!
Started on some nutrients this week. I was going to wait a little longer, but started seeing signs of nutrition deficiency.
A lot of new growth!
Still performing LST, but I think I’m about done tying the plant down any further. I’m going to just let her flower from here. I plan to defoliate eventually.
Also, I’m considering the ‘height’ of the plant to be from the soil straight up to the tallest bud. That way I can measure meaningful change.
Flowers are coming in nicely! I’m hoping to see the plant get nice and tall soon.
Buds are coming in nicely! A small plant overall, but she’s looking healthy!
I did a bit of pruning and took off some lower growth that looked like it wasn’t going to yield much, if any at all.
I can already see that the color of the buds is going to be beautiful. I’m seeing some purple and a bit of pink/red sometimes!
Buds are still showing some good growth! Looks like this plant can take a feeding very nicely!
The buds are starting to develop a nice smell and are absolutely beautiful! The colors are awesome so far and I can’t wait to see what they look like once they’re bigger!
Did some very slight defoliation as well.
She’s pretty much just a giant bud up the middle. I think my attempt at LST on this plant ended up kind of screwing up the plant's structure.
However, the buds smell great and are definitely bulking up! Pretty fruity smelling and some hairs are starting to turn orange.
At first she was smelling like sweet berries, but this week the smell has transitioned to more of a nutty smell. The buds are starting to get a little thicker, but I'm really hoping that they get DENSE in this next week or so.
I also started flushing this week. I think I'm a little late, but I checked the trichomes, and there are still a lot of clear and a decent amount of cloudy. Will probably be harvesting in the next week or 2!
Getting nice and milky! Probably going to chop her down in a few days. I had to buy another exhaust fan for a separate drying tent, so I definitely have to wait until then. Should be here in a couple days, which will line up perfectly because I'm seeing some amber trichomes, but am hoping to see a few more before harvesting.
She smells nice and sweet, but there is definitely a nutty smell towards the end. I'm excited to see what I get!
So far from my early smoke tests, this truly feels like a great sativa. Nothing too crazy, but I really love how energetic I feel without the indica crash later on.
I'll be sure to update once my buds have fully cured!
This plant was fairly fun to grow. She didn't really respond well to LST compared to my other plants. Or I might have just messed it up. Either way, it was a really weak harvest IMO. The buds are super airy and look better than they feel, as far as density goes. I definitely dried too quickly and am hoping I don't fuck up my buds too badly.
