I soaked one seed in Vitathrive and water for 24hrs.
Then moved into paper town in a ziplock bag.
Left in Darkness for about 12 hours and the tap root already had started to come out.
I kept it in darkness for 48hrs total until a solid inch of tap root was exposed.
At this point I transferred to her 3 Gal pot.
Right from the beginning this Aztech has been sprinting.
Pre mix for the pot was:
Gaia Green All Purpose Fertilizer 4-4-4: 1 Cup (16 Tbsp)
Gaia Green Power Bloom 2-8-4: 12 Tbsp
Gaia Green Glacial Rock: 3 Tbsp
Gaia Green Alfalfa Meal: 2 Tbsp
Great White: 2 Tbsp
Micro Grow - Root Multiplier: 1 Tbsp
Worm Casting: 2 Cups
Coco Coir: 60%
Perlite: 30%
She just keeps looking better everyday. She is still short and stocky and the lower nodes are pulling through the fan leaves well.
I will likely give her a water soluble shot of great white next week to get those roots on overdrive.
This week has gone well.
Beautiful colour and has great structure for her big fan leaves.
I defoliated her underside because she was so short and stocky. It has given her a much better look.
I defoliated more of her to expose the lower nodes. Seems to be working well as the canopy develops.
She continues to drink more at a very steady rate.
Overall a very attractive plant and easy to grow.
I should be feeding her in a couple days.
So it's not actually a full week in flowering, however i've marked it that way. I only switched her to 12-12 three days ago and have not seen any pistols yet.
I turned the lights up to 300W and dropped it to 28 inches.
Humidity this week has been a bit tough to control. I have a bucket of water in my tent and its range is between 45 - 60%RH at any given time.
I defoliated all the remaining large fan leaves to allow all the lower nodes to get direct light exposure.
I top dressed her with a good feeding:
Gaia Green All Purpose - 2 Tsp
Gaia Green Power Bloom - 1 Tbsp
Gaia Green Glacial Rock Dust - 2 Tbsp
Gaia Green Alfalfa Meal - 1 Tbsp
Gaia Green Mineralized Phosphate - 2 Tsp
Great White - 1 Tsp
Earthworm Casting - 10 Tbsp
She is showing sex now so another week and we should be well into bud development.
Her water intake has not changed this week.
I defoliated a large amount of fan leaves and smaller nodes in the undercarriage.
I gave her molasses at a rate of 1 Tsp per Gal of water.
Still an absolutely stunning looking plant.
Three weeks into flowering and we got some bright white pistols all over.
Stretch slowed slightly and is now the shortest in my tent.
No change to water intake.
All is good this week.
I turned the light up to 400W this week and the water intake has also increased.
I decided not to remove her from the tent so hopefully the pictures turned out.
Trichomes are coming in quite thick.
I will likely be feeding her next week.
Another great week down. I raised my light so the distance is now greater my target of 28 inches.
My light is now running a full power (500 Watt).
The smell is starting to come out when I brush up against the buds and at this stage seems to be very sweet.
The buds are beginning to stack up well.
I top dressed her with:
Gaia Green All Purpose - 1 Tsp
Gaia Green Power Bloom - 2 Tbsp
Gaia Green Glacial Rock Dust - 2 Tbsp
Gaia Green Alfalfa Meal - 1 Tbsp
Gaia Green Mineralized Phosphate - 2 Tsp
Earthworm Casting - 10 Tbsp
I love how the buds are stacking and the pistols are pointing straight up.
I decided to skip the molasses feed this week. Figured the top dress last week was enough.
Some of the pistols are starting to turn light brown.
Water intake has not changed.
Everything is going very well.
Her buds are really coming in well. Very consistent throughout the entire plant.
I fed 1 Tsp of molasses in a gal of water.
There are still a lot of white pistols on her. I would like maybe three weeks left and then finish.
I tested run off this week and it was sitting around 5.8 - 6.0 PH. I've been watering between 6.3 -6.5 PH so there must be something causing the PH to drop slightly. Its not a concern of mine as you can see by the pictures, she is doing extremely well. More of something to monitor periodically.
I've cut out the nutrients and started the flush this week. Giving it Flawless Finish by Advanced Nutrients at 2ml per litre of water.
I've uploaded some photos of her trichomes. There clouding over and I have some amber tops so figured it was the perfect time.
I turned my light down to 400W since were starting into the final weeks.
Everything is going well.
Well new are now coming to an end. I'll be giving her Flawless Finish for two more days and then into 48hrs of darkness to finish this girl off. This will give it a complete two week flush so the smoke should be ohhh so smooth.
Next update will be the final product.
Absolutely beautiful plant from start to finish. Coming in at 135grams of consist buds.
I was not able to maximum my 500W light as it was dimmed and far from the light most of the grow.
She finished with a two week flush of PH down water and Flawless Finish.
Smell:
Dairy.
Smoke/Taste:
Nice smooth smoke. The most dominate taste is sour dairy with an earthy aftertaste. It’s also has good resin that forms as your paper burns.
Appearance:
Green buds with lots of light brown pistols.
Compact and coated with a frosty layer of trichomes.
Effects:
She is quite potent and a very satisfying, calming head high.
Overall this plant was easy to grow and did not receive any training throughout. Im confident if I gave this plant more room to grow and maximized the 500W of light, she would have produced more bud.
Drying was a bit tough. Winter time and fighting low humidity so she dried in 7 days. Much faster than id like to see.
I would recommend to anyone.
