Overall very satisfying week. The girls took the nutrients nice and are accelerating faster than expected. Will most likely be topping by mid to end next week at this rate of growth.
Very much looking forward to the next seven days. And beyond!
Overall another good week. So far very low maintenance. Had some power issues due to construction which seems to have mildly affected the one plant. I'm not worried about her she will be fine. The root development is amazing! I wish I would have taken a picture. Nutrients will be increased next week if all goes to plan. So far another solid product from barneys
Disappointed this week. Had an over watering accident. This led to slow growth. Sucks it happened the day after transplant. This led to minor nute deficiency on the one. Starting to come back around. Hopefully keep my January 1st light switch on schedule.
Awesome week. Could be better but ill take it!
Not much to say about it this week. They have been easy, taking all the nutrients well. Will be switching 2-3 weeks max. I have very high hopes for them during flower. They have been a lot of fun so far.
Great week. No major problems came up. Happy with her overall growth. I'm going to switch over to flower the next few days and slowly switch nutes. I was going to keep them going however this new lockdown had me running to my local seed bank to pick up a few new strains. These are good enough for a decent yield. I would imagine these are going to have a decent stretch! Pumped for the next 8-9 weeks
Good week. The one plant that had some issues in the beginning has a noticeable odor already. I decided not to defoliate before the switch. I'm going to be playing around with climate towards the end of this grow and am anticipating nice colours. Only time will tell.
They are definitely having a good stretch. Genetics on the right Seem a bit weird in terms of growth. The one on the left is loving life right now! Took a couple clones from that one. Both should produce well provided no major issues arise!
Pretty good week. Pretty excited for the home stretch! Lol. A month or so to go! Barneys farm always has steered me right and so far they keep showing me why I continue to grow their strains
Pretty decent week for growth....... then came signs of nute burn.... my fault I got carried away with how they've handled everything I've done with ease. With 4-5 weeks remaining im sure its still going to be what I expected. Will go one more week with 27 celcius day 22 night. Will be experimenting with a 15 degree celcius night temp. (For colour purposes only) here in Southern ontario our October Temps were between 7-10 degrees at night. Was growing cali og haze from crop king. The colours were absolutely stunning! I would like to see if I can replicate that with this strain
Tough week.... had to make the difficult decision to scrap the one lady.. her genetics just weren't stable enough for my comfort. After considering pros and cons she was
removed and donated to an extract grow.
The remaining lady is happier now solo. Nute burn has improved and back on track with that.
Monster crop clone i took has roots now which is exciting! That will be vegged until spring with substantial training. So we shall see what kind of monster we can create outdoor.
Another disappointing week. Was curious as to the slow bud development. This strain typically gives a generous yield based on my prior research of it. Checked ppm was fine. Checked watering solution was fine. Ph was good. Used new mixing containers. Had a buddy of mine from canopy growth come by maybe see if I was missing something. He gets just as puzzled as I. We sit have a beer. I start looking at the timer Turns out somehow the pin was pushed down for a 15 minute period mid darkness. Not good. So for 5 1/2 weeks its been getting interrupted. This might also explain why I thought the genects on the other plant were unstable. All fixed now. Shockingly hasn't hermied.... yet. So we will see.
To be continued...
Better week than previous. Instant change once the light issue was sorted. 8-14 days remaining. Sitting aprox 10%amber. Flush started 2-5-21. Colors are coming in nice this week! Before I know it 3 more strains from barneys will be on the go...
Overall decent final week. Originally planned to cut next weekend however the trichomes are saying now.
This plant had amazing potential and its a shame I had timer issues. Good news is I cloned her 21 days into flower so she will live again.
Brilliant colour with temperature changes. (Portable air conditioner at night)
Nutrient take was amazing until I got a little too confident. I will cut in half 14 days into flower next time.
She will head for darkness over the few days. Will be cutting. 2-20-21 will update when dried weighed and in jars
@Ferenc, I greatly appreciate your kind words. I use to grow outdoor exclusively. My grower friends convinced me to try indoor. I must say it's more precise. And requires a lot more attention to detail. I researched barneys catalog of strains( I typically only grow barneys) this one looked like the one best suited to my liking. Ability for good colour, terpene profile, with good resistance. Next I will be doing peyote cookies, ayahuasca purple, pink kush. As well as the monster crop clone I took from the current grow. They will all be destined to the back yard mid may.
@Dope1s, Beautiful pinky buds this strain properly performs in your environment. Congrats on you doing a great job with her really. Nice to see grows reflecting the true blood of the gentics especially Barney's is amazing choice. Trust ke those buds will be grateful lol
I'm growing this strain right now. I have 4 strains from 4 different breeders going. My Gorilla Zkittlez buds have been relatively tiny. Super coated with sugar, smell delicious, but small. In the last couple of days, they have been in a growth spurt. Feeling much better about the girl today. They doubled in size this week. Still smaller than the others, but bulking up faster than the rest lately. I'm optimistic that its just a late blooming variety. Maybe yours will do the same.
@Half_Baked_Ben, good to hear you have better growth! This was a really fun plant to grow! Mine have been getting better as well. Buds are definitely filling in better since getting the light resolved! I'm just not too sure what I can expect with about 2-3 weeks left.... today was my last feed. Gave some overdrive now will start the flush next water. I'm hoping she goes to 9 weeks. Good luck with the rest of your grow!
Hi @Dope1s, I noticed that you used a Bloom Plus 1500. I am currently on week seven of my grow, and started it with one Bloom Plus 1500, but later noticed it is rated for a 3x3 area for veg, but only 2.5x2.5 for flower. I also found a youtube video of a guy that did a Par test with a Par meter which confirmed this also, so I got a second Bloom Plus, which was $30 off on amazon that day, so I got my second one for less than $110, and have been running two for the last 5 weeks. I think these are great lights because they are cheap, water resistant, with a full spectrum that even includes an Infrared Samsung LED diode. I have a fan blowing over the top of each light to keep them cool, and I have noticed I can keep these lights about 12 - 18 inches above the canopy with no issues. It looked in the pictures that you kept your light more than 24 inches above the canopy, which could have been a little to far away since you only had one LED light. I would suggest just getting a second Bloom Pluss 1500, and keep them around 18 inches from the top of the canopy on your next grow. I definitely think you will be pleased, as I feel my grow is doing very well with two of these lights. Anyway, I just wanted to share my experience so far with this light. Happy growing.
