Teak76 4 out of 9 have shown up. Let's see when the rest show up. Day 5: Two latecomers are still missing. Otherwise, everyone has come so far. Day 6: I'm happy with what I see. Except for 2 seeds, everyone has come. I'll give the 2 a few more days. If nothing happens soon, they're out. On Day 7, the 2 Fat Banana showed up too. It still has the seed capsule on its head. Hopefully, it falls off. There's still no trace of the last Amnesia Haze.

Teak76 Aside from the fact that the Amnesia Haze has finally arrived, there's nothing to report. On day 10, I topped up some soil and discovered a few flies in the soil in one of the pots. I'll use neem oil as a preventive measure when the dark phase starts before it gets really bad. I've sprayed neem oil now. Hopefully, it helps and the little pests don't spread any further. There are only a few so far. Day 12: I don't see any more flies. I'm satisfied so far. Aside from one that doesn't want to grow and another that's not quite healthy, everything is going pretty well. The pH of the soil is 5.5.

Teak76 I'm satisfied at the beginning of the week. Everything looks good except for the 2 Gorilla Glues. One doesn't want to grow and the other doesn't look healthy. I've set my lighting to 50 cm. I started using Bio Bizz nutrients yesterday, but only half of the feeding schedule. On day 17, everything looks good. The plants are developing. Even on day 18, both Gorilla Glues don't look good. We did LST for the first time today. Let's see what happens. As I said, this is only my second grow. Unfortunately, my LST went wrong. The wires came loose and most of them are back in their original position. I was thinking about trying LST again today. It can't be too hard to tie them down.

Hey everyone, I have a question about BioBizz nutrients. My medium is the BioBizz Light Mix. I have the starter pack with 5 bottles. I started fertilizing on Saturday with 50% of the schedule. Is it enough to fertilize once a week, or should I fertilize with every watering?

Looking good so far. 😀 Been using Biobizz for more than a decade and i use fertilizers every second watering, in the first few weeks. ( After the plants has started to take off) When flowering is introduced, i often go to nute - nute - water. It is though dependent on the strain.

Teak76 Looks really good at the beginning of week 3, in my opinion. I'm satisfied except for the 2 problem children. I continued with LST and fertilize every second watering. Something could still come from one of the Gorilla Glues, but I've given up on the other one. So far, I'm very satisfied and curious to see how they develop. The day-night temperature is worrying me a bit at the moment. Today, I threw out the little Gorilla Glue. It wouldn't have made it. It didn't even reach 5cm.

Teak76 Aside from the problem that it's freezing cold in our region and I'm having temperature issues in the grow, everything is going well. The ladies have a healthy color and they are in pre-flowering. Unfortunately, I had to dispose of one Gorilla Glue, but the other one is just recovering. I'm curious to see what happens with her. Since I'm still very inexperienced and I ruined my first grow due to a hermaphrodite, I'm not sure if there's one among them now. I uploaded a picture. Maybe someone can tell me if I need to worry. So far, everything is surprisingly good. I'll keep an eye on the lady and hope she's not a hermaphrodite. But I don't think so. The other ladies are doing great.

Hello, I'm not sure if those are male shoots and if the lady is hermaphroditing?

Autoflowers are generally like 99% female. You'd be really unlucky if you found a male. But honestly it's too early to tell yet. Give it a few days and you will clearly see female or male flowers 👍🌱

Teak76 At the beginning of this week, I'm excited. The ladies look really good and are forming buds. Even the Gorilla Glue has a few bud sites. I also don't have any hermaphrodites. I fertilize every 2 watering sessions with 50% of the BioBizz schedule. Unlike my first attempt, this one is completely different. That one went down the drain. Today (Day 38) I discovered something that worries me. Is the lady a hermaphrodite? Hopefully not. Since other male signs appeared, there are now only 4 ladies left in the game. It's really frustrating. My second grow and again a hermaphrodite involved. Out are: 1x Northern Light (RQS) 1x AK-470 (Zamnesia) 2x Gorilla Glue (Barneys Farm) 1x Fat Banana (RQS) The ones that will keep growing for now are: 2x Amnesia Haze (Zamnesia) 1x AK-470 (Zamnesia) 1x Fat Banana (RQS) Hope the last 4 don't get any penises. 😂

Hello, maybe I'm being a bit too cautious because my first grow had a hermaphrodite and messed everything up for me. Am I unlucky again? I'm new to the hobby and hope everything is okay in my garden.

Yeah, bad luck again. It seems autoflowers are nowhere near as stable, genetically, as their photoperiod counterparts. Maybe the breeders are too quick to get their strains on the market and haven't done enough work ensuring the plants they release are thoroughly bred for proper stability. In my experience with autos, they have many issues and do a lot of strange things. I've stopped growing them due to too much time wasted growing, only to have plants go hermaphrodite and ruin whole crops, as well as a lot of mutated plants, mainly from one of the biggest in the business. I did have more overall stability from Sweet Seeds autos, but I see no real benefit to growing them over "normal" photoperiod plants. Autos may suit some people, but they are really temperamental in their requirements and too variable in their results for my liking. On top of this, they really need hydro and massive lighting to perform at their best, which, as an outdoor grower using sunshine, means autos don't have a place with me. Their needs also leave a very big "carbon footprint," something we are made to feel ashamed of. This plant will cause seeds everywhere and pass on hermaphrodite genes too, so it's useless for breeding. I would suggest growing "normal" photoperiod fems next time; they are much more stable and will give you hardly any problems at all and generally, bigger harvests too. The question page in this forum is overflowing with problems with autoflowering plants, so you are not alone with your troubles, and this also indicates to me that autoflowers are not as wonderful as the breeders make them out to be. Hope this helps and viel glück! ,... Organoman.

Teak76 Not much is left. So far, I haven't found any bananas. Unfortunately, I overlooked the first hermaphrodite, and the capsule opened, so I have little hope that the last three haven't been affected. The three look very good. I haven't seen anything suspicious. If anyone sees something in the pictures that isn't normal, it would be nice to let me know.

Teak76 Found a male. The Fat Banana has been drooping its leaves for a few days now, and I don't know why. It's not due to watering since it only gets about 1 liter every 3 days. If anyone has a suspicion about what it could be, feel free to leave a comment.

Teak76 I think the buds are a bit small. Hope something more comes. The Fat Banana is still drooping its leaves. It got water again today after a week. Let's see if that was the issue.

Teak76 Unfortunately, small buds. With a bit of luck, it will end up being 20 grams. The trichomes of the Fat Banana are mostly milky already. I'm leaving them a bit longer in the hope of getting some bud size. The Amazing Haze has turned nice and purple. It still needs about 2 more weeks. Both will only get water from today on.
