I found some seeds in the weed i got from the shop and was curious if i could grow them into full plants. I guess you can! :D I smoke strains like white whidow and a local strain called sparkles, so the chances are pretty high those are the strains I am growing.

Almost 6 weeks in now. Started 2 extra seedlings and they are doing way better than the initial grow. I will update them on a different grow report, check it out soon! Also started some bell peppers and tomato in the back to fill up the empty spaces, bacardi coke do it! Should have transplanted some of the plants way earlier and the difference is pretty clear in size, my bad. Still learning, but having fun!

I am wondering when to start the 12/12 flowering period? Almost 6 weeks in now, I was thinking no longer than 8 weeks of vegetation. Since I'm a beginner, mayb I should keep the grow short? And as I improve, go for bigger trees and longer grows? Makes sense? Thanks!

Depending on the amount of LST/HST done on the plant, it's usually between 5-8 weeks of vegetation. Though you are using random seeds, that might not be feminized, and depending on the look of your plant(s). I would suggest that they look healthy and ready week 6 to veg, if your not planning on doing any HST. Usually during veg, the plant doesnt "grow" upwards that much, as it's called it "vegging", creating leaves and structure for flowering. So once you have the desired structure/size you can transition to 12/12. Good luck! / Dunderma

Hi all! I've got a question regarding nutrients. At the moment I got terra grow and terra bloom. I only give terra grow at the moment. When do I start adding the bloom nutrients? My plan is to start flowering in two weeks. Thanks!

Hi! This is what I found: https://www.hydroponics.co.uk/media/wysiwyg/downloads/Plagron-Terra-Feed-Chart.pdf I think its better to switch to bloom nutes only after the stretch is over so after 2 weeks of flowering. And you can lower the grow amount and replace with bloom in the first two weeks of flowering so the change is kinda gradual

Tried to do some LST this week, also defoliated some of the leaves that were blocking new bud sites. Started the flower cycle, hoping for females obviously. My goal is to take clones from the good ones so I can skip the seed germination stage. Installed a scrognet to help guide the plants when they grow. I really like how the bottom middle plant looks, starlight! Checked the plants today for gender, I think the bigger 3 are female if not mistaken. I don't see any ballsacks developing gladly. Made some closeups.

Hi! I want to buy additional nutrients which can be used for both soil+hydro. So far I got my eyes on Ghe's Flora Micro, FloraGro, FloraBloom and Calcium Magnesium. The store also has Hesi Root-complex which I believe is good. Any other important nutrients I'm missing? Thanks!

HI! It depends where you live and how deep are you willing to go with the nutes, but I suggest buying pure salts and blending your own mix from those. The benefit is the much longer shelf life when you have solid salts vs. liquid bottles and also they are very strong 'cos they are pure so you need to use something like 0.5g/l-1g/l (1.938-3.875g/gal) of salt per waterings and they are cheap. In the states or canada you can look up Jacks hydro nutrients and buy Calcium nitrate, epsom salt and one base flowering salt mix, something like my 6-6-25. Anything wiht low nitrogen but high potassium content and some phosphorus too. Salts needs some deep knowledge of plant growth but when used the right way they are the only way to go. If you want to go easy, I suggest looking at "Lucas formula" 'cos it only has GHE Micro and Bloom and this really works! HEres the details General Hydroponics Flora Series Feeding Strategy - Lucas Formula G-M-B (Grow-Micro-Bloom) 0-5-10 - For Vegetative cycle (18/6) 0-8-16 - For Flowering cycle (12/12) The numbers above indicate the number of milliliters (ml) of Flora Grow, Micro or Bloom formulas that I use in one gallon (US Liquid) of nutrients. You will notice I dont use any of the Flora “Grow” formula, do not need to, the Flora "Micro" provides plenty of Nitrogen. There are two ways to work with this formula: 1. Top off the reservoir daily using a pH corrected water solution as required to maintain full reservoir level. After adding back an amount of water equal to the amount of your reservoir capacity you should change the reservoir and put in fresh solution. 2. Top off the reservoir daily using a pH corrected 100% strength nutrient solution as required to maintain full reservoir level. Continue to use this nutrient solution without dumping the tank unless the PPM rises above acceptable levels. Between vegetative and flowering cycles you should dump your nutrients, then flush (possibly with Clearex) to remove salt buildups, then change to the other feeding program. Always shake your GH nutrient bottles before using them! For young plants, just transplanted into the hydro setup, give them 50% strength nutrient mix to prevent overfeeding them while their young. Gradually bring up the mix to full strength as they grow over the next few weeks or so. The lucas formula is normally intended for use with RO or near 0 PPM water. NOTE: The Lucas formula eliminates the need for Epsom salts to correct (Magnesium) Mg deficiencies in most normal feeding programs recommended by manufacturers. Cannabis needs a lot of Magnesium to thrive. The Flora Micro is providing the Nitrogen and the Magnesium in the proper balance, thus there is no need for the Grow formula and little or no room under the maximum acceptable ppm limit of 1600 @ 0.7 conversion. Calculated EC/TDS levels: EC microsiemen: 0-4-8: 946 µS 0-5-10: 1184 µS 0-8-16: 1894 µS TDS @ 0.5 conversion: 0-4-8 = 473 ppm 0-5-10 = 592 ppm 0-8-16 = 947 ppm TDS @ 0.7 conversion: 0-4-8 = 663 ppm 0-5-10 = 829 ppm 0-8-16 = 1326 ppm Addback Calculator - (For Advanced Users) Say you were running the 0-8-16 formula, at 0.7 conversion with a 22 gallon res. When you first fill it up, your ppm will be around 1330. Now you have been growing for a week, and some of the water has been taken up by the plants, some has evaporated, and now your res is at 947 ppm. You need to get your ppm from 947 to 1330. Here is the equation: ((target - current) / target) * 8 ml per gallon * res gallons = Flora Micro (ml) double this figure to get Flora Bloom (ml) Example: ((1330 - 947) / 1330) * 8 * 22 (383 / 1330) * 8 * 22 0.3 * 8 * 22 = 53 ml Flora Micro 53 ml Flora Micro, double that and you get 106 ml Flora Bloom. So 53 ml Flora Micro and 106 ml Flora Bloom to add back to your 22 gallon res to get you from 947 to 1330. Using Hard Water GH Micro I had been experimenting with using the Hard water Micro as a substitute for the normal Flora Micro, this to account for my hard 350 PPM water and the lack of a large enough RO filter at the time. It has worked well for me. I just kept my reservoir below 1150 PPM @ .5 conversion and its all good. One tip - do not pH down this stuff, the hard water micro will drop pH gradually over the next 24 hours, for example I mix up a batch, it is at like 6.2, the next day, its at 5.6-5.8 after running in the system for a while. If I pH downed that to 5.7 before putting it in the system, it ended up as low as 4.8-5.2 by the next day. My conclusion, the hard water micro was buffering the alkaline crud in my water, it just doesnot do it ASAP fast like the phosphoric acid.

Things I need to work on: giving the right amount of water, learning more about nutrients and how to use them and obv all the growing techniques, want to do a hydro grow as well in the future. So far I'm happy with the progress, feel like they are far from dead :D But anything can go wrong I suppose, keeping a close eye so that doesn't happen. So far the scrog net doesn't do much other than mayb protecting the plants in case the cable of my light snaps or something. Have been checking closely for gender, I think they are all female. Got a little space left to cover, which can be used for my nicely growing tomato plant. Gotta eat as well you know :D I have learnt the math behind mixing salt nutrients, all I have to do now is buy them and gain some xp. Also preparing a bit for the next grows, want to do some DWC. Seen some nice results on that. The hairs of my hottest girl are slowly turning brownish, added some closeups. Seems she got her own clock.

Hi folks! I can get my hands on Yara Calcinit 15.5-0-0 and a base salt with 6-18-36+3MgO. Does the MgO make the epsom salt redundant? And what are the NPK ratio's I'm aiming for during veg and flower? I have seen and read so many numbers, not sure what to believe anymore. Thanks!

20-10-20 based on research of hemp plants. N ~120-13ppm, the rest accordingly MgO isn't MgSO4 (epsom salt), so you'd want to caclulate the ppms of S you provide. If it's ~100ppm or higher, you probably dont have to add sulfur. These are ballpark values. your local water may have a say in the matter too. that's simple a 1:3:6 ratio... more concentrted, simply mix with less of it. add in the 15.5-0-0 proportionately to use for 6:3:6. Seems really high p/k values on that base part. I have some good ballpark PPMs calculated in just about any week of any diary... slightly diluted jacks, that's all.

Slow and steady seems to be the way of this grow. Accidently snapped one branch off, tried so save it but didn't really work. So now I tried cloning that branch, but I'm not sure if you can clone a plant that allrdy switched to 12-12 cycle. Time will tell, been almost 3 days now and they seem fine in a very humid environment. Looking to buy all kinds of hydroponic equipment, but its a bit annoying cus there isn't much available where I'm from. A little improvisation will have to do. There are even regulations on selling that yara kristalon shit here. As if I'm gonna make a fertiliser bomb out of it or something. Only one plant is growing nuggets so far, but I got a feeling the rest is catching up. They will be in starlight mode soon ass well I hope. Will give another update soon. Peace! Removed a lot of sucker branches at the bottom. Made a new nutrient batch for this week. Will be adding EC values in a couple of weeks. One of the plants showed sign of flowering in week5, so I expect her to be done in like 4 weeks or so. Mayb sooner I dunno, guess I should ask the community. Hard to tell caus of the unknown strain.

Looks like the other 3 plants caught up and are in full flower now as well. The net finally has some uses now. There is a little smell before I enter the room. Made a nutrient batch with the max amount of bloom/L. Filled up the empty spaces in the pots with coco. 3 free seeds for the first one to use the promo code, GL all! Giving a little bit back Ordered some additional nutrients today. Some of the bottom leaves don't look that good and I need to address the situation. The standard grow and bloom aint gonna cut it I'm afraid.

I'm happy with the progress so far, the smell is getting a little bit stronger and the buds are getting bigger. Although some of the leaves don't look that good. Maybe because of lack of nutrients, maybe its just the plant on the end of its cycle I don't know yet. Couple days back I ordered some calcinit, kristalon and epsom salt (75kg total), let the games begin. Gonna find out soon if there is a problem. Gotta keep these babies healthy. Today I got the nutrient salts delivered, made 2 stock solutions: A with the Kristalon (100gr/L) and Epsom(50gr/L) , B has only Calcinit (100gr/L) in it. Since we are allrdy in flowermode I only added 32ml of stock solution A to 8L of water for plant feed. Mayb I should also add some Calcinit cus of the calcium, not sure. We will see how they react. For all the sharp one out there, the one at the bottom right is an imposter!

For this weeks feed I added 90ml of A and 30ml of B to 9L water. Ordered a tds/ec meter, because it feels like I'm flying in the dark at the moment. I gotta know that shit! The smell is getting better and better! The smallest plant has produced the biggest buds sofar, but I got a feeling the rest is catching up quickly. Curious to see which one will make the dankest of buds. Place your predictions in the comment section down below :D Started flushing so I can harvest her next week. Guess the rest has at least 3-4 weeks to go. Spotted something shimmering, when I took a closeup there was this big brown droplet between all the sugar powdery stuff. Dunno what it is, but I want to smoke it :D Last pictures of my beautiful girl, will harvest her tomorrow. Thanks for everything you have done!

One plant started showing signs of flowering around week 5 and feel like its harvest time soon for her. Today we are at start of week 12. Should I stop giving her nutrient rich water? And harvest in a week or two? I'm curious what the more experienced growers think. Thanks!

She looks good and done, check her trichomes one last time but from here everything says "Harvest me". If you are growing with synthetic nutes, there is an entire debate on flushing or not with a lot of merit behind both arguments. That being said, flush her for a week, chop her down. If you are growing organically, I feed right up until harvest no worries.

Hi again! Found this EC table on RQS, according to this I should have an EC of around 2.2 this stage. I feel like this is a bit high. I checked other grows on this forum and I don't see many going over 2. What are your thoughts? Thanks!

All plants are different. Autos take a lot less, 50-75%. Your runoff will tell you though. If the EC in your runoff is lower than your feed, you can increase nutrients. If the runoff EC is higher, then you should decrease nutes. This is always assuming that your pH and temps are in the correct range.
