Project AeroGarden 2 C.K Dark Angel

At day 19 this plant is looking better then the last aerogarden grow. The leaf rust that i had is completely gone, and the only thing I've noticed that needs a looking into is the roots, there not ad white as they should be and are a bit on the brown side. Have to keep a eye on it. Happy growing everyone.

The growth this plant has shown over the last few days is massive. On day 23 it had grow a bit but in the last 24 hours she has exploded and is looking like she well be a great plant. I plan on moving the light up a few inches when the plant hits 6-8 inches and thats when ill start to do some training on her. Not sure what I'm going to do but ive got a few ideas. Day 33: the plant had some really soild growth this last week. I actually had to remove some leafs around the lower section so that I could add water to the tank without them getting in the way. Had to move the light up because I noticed the day after the last entry that I was showing some signs of light burn. Plant bounched back a few days later. Did a full clean up today, cleaned the tank, washed the roots with clean water, cleaned and balanced my probe and made sure to clean off the intake and out take fans. Well thats all for now. Man oh man am I happy I upgraded my nutrients monitor. So at the beginning of this week it was suggested to me to start adding Advanced Nutrients Revive to my regular feeding schedule. I was at the hydro shop and mentioned to them about my set up and how I have to keep the tank cold to stop the spreed of leaf rust. Guy behind the counter suggested Revive and said it'll battle the leaf rust and stop it from spreading. So I got a bottle, went home and added 5ml to my tank. Next morning when I woke up I found that my Ph had dropped, like a lot. Went from 5.8 down to 4.6... so added Ph up, got it back up to 5.8 and then went to work. Got home and the Ph had dropped again, this time to 5.3.... so I re balanced it. Next day same thing. So I decided to have a look at my monitor to see if I could pin point the problem, it has a 30 day memory history for Ph, PPM/EC and Temperature. Within a few mins of going over it all I noticed that before I had added the Revive my Ph was only dropping 0.05 every day. After I added it, my Ph was dropping 0.1 every 30min... that's a lot. So I cleaned the tank, added new stuff (without the Revive) and 48 hours later my Ph was back to normal. Never underestimate the importance of quality equipment. Luckily it won't be going to waste tho, ill just use it with my tent set ups (got 4, 2x3, 4x4, 4x8, 8x8... no I don't have a problem lol). Started training this last week, first I FIMed the plant at the beginning of the week, then I cleaned up the lower section, and then today I'm topping thw main steam. Hoping to switch it to flower by next week. Next to all that it was just a basic week with nothing else really going on. Happy growing everyone

Man if growing was easy everyone would do it. So we have been hitting low temperatures outside (-1c) and the only place I have room for the grow box gets a lot of outside cold air. When the lights off the temperature gets low, one day it got as low as 12c... and were not into our coldest time of the year yet... On top of that my Ph issue is back. But I don't think it has anything to do with my nutrients. I think because its only 1 gal the Ph drops as the plant absorbs the water and nutrients. Speaking of nutrients... so I mixed up my nutrients to the suggestion amount by Advanced Nutrients put it all togther and didn't think to check it all before adding to my reservoir and my PPM skyrocketed to 2200ppm.... yea thats a bit high. So as quick as I could I removed 50% of the water in the tank and added new fresh water and dropped it down to 1300ppm... still a bit high in my opinion so I emptied it a bit more and got it down to 1100ppm. The measurements above were there suggested amounts, ill be doing smaller amounts next go around. So a few days ago I decided to do a leaf strip so that I could get a good look at what I'm working with. Holy shit there was a lot of massive leafs. When I was done I noticed I had fucked up.... I accidentally cut off a branch... now theres a empty area in my grow space....🤦‍♂️. Also found a few nutrients burns in a few leafs so going to drain the tank and flush it good. Nothing to crazy this week. Ph has stabilized finally, plant is looking healthy again. Did a bit of a clean up on her and cleaned up inside the box a bit. Hopefully in the next week we well start to see buds start to form. Happy growing everyone

Another smooth week. Finding i have to do weekly defoliation on it tho, everything grows back extremely fast. Buds arenstarting to form on the plant, already looking nicer then the last plant at this stage of growth in this system. I 100w Philzon is doing a great job in the 11x22 inch grow space. Wouldn't recommend it for a tent tho. The light loses a lot of its umols rating after you drop below 15 inchs from the light. Noticed the panel on my aerogarden isn't working properly. Its all touch screen and it won't sense my touch. Luckly it's wifi so I can just adjust all the settings with my phone but being that this is only the second grow with it I'm a little disappointed. Well next to that everything's going great with this grow. Happy growing everyone

So about 2 days after I added all my nutrients to the tank my Ph started to drop again and my PPM wasn't changing... so dumped the tank again, noticed the roots had turned a slight brown, added just water and 5ml of gro tec flush for 24 hours. When I dumped the tank the water looked like I had added all my nutrients to it and my roots had gone back to looking more white again. So refilled the tank but this time with only 50% of the suggested amount. Been a few days and my Ph has stabilized completely and my PPM has started to to slowly drop. Looked at this as a good learning lesson, clearly because its in just water and doesn't have anything like soil to act as a buffer, so it needs a lower PPM or it'll going into nutrients lock. Did some more defoliation on the plant a few days ago, fucking plant regenerates new leafs at a rapid rate lol. The buds on the plant are really starting to grow quick. They already look like there going to out grow the last plant I did. Swapping out the stock 50w aerogarden light for the 100w philzon looks to really be paying off this round. The only downside is the plant is now only 4 inchs from the light so if it starts to get some burning ill have to dim her down. Well that's all so happy growing everyone

So had a great week. The buds have exploded in size on this plant. Did a massive leaf strip and also cleaned up of the lower section of the plant. I'm hoping to be done this plant in 3 to 4 weeks time max. Already have figured out the next upgrade for the unit. Going to see how quickly flip it and also see about adding Co2 to the grow box. Plant is almost touching the light and ive got a few weeks to go lol. So far the top bud looks fine. I turned down the light slightly to help, but well see how well it works. Last week was the last week of big bud so I did a clean on the tank, had it in straight water for 2 hours before adding the nutrients to it. Few hairs are starting to change color so I'm thinking 3 more weeks before harvest. Well no a lot to report next to that so happy growing everyone.

Slacked off for the last week and a bit and now I'm paying for it. Wasn't doing a very good job watching my levels and the resivore got warm and my Ph got low (4.8). According to my monitor my Ph was below 5.8 for over a day, and my tank was concitantly reaching temperatures above 21c. So when I went to dump my tank I noticed that my roots had turned a brownish cooper color, had a bit of a smell and also the air stones had a slime to it..... so washed off the roots and put them in just straight water for 2 days with 5ml of grotek final flush. After the 2 days the water in the tank looked like rosa wine lol. Refilled it with just water for 12 more hours before adding the nutrients. Since then its gotten a lot nicer looking. Was a productive week with the aerogarden grow box. Cleaned the tank, water pump, air stones, nutrients probe and a massive massive clean up with the plant itself. I must have removed close to a pound in leafs from this plant over a 3 day period, every time I'd look at it id see a section that I missed. I lowered the PPM down a bit and also trying to keep the temperature in the res down a bit also. Hoping to be done in a few weeks. Happy growing everyone

So from what ive read Dark Angel is a 8 week plant and I'm now 9 weeks in and it looks like it's still a few weeks from done. While I was looking into it I found that a seed company by the name of blimburn seeds is accusing Rocket seeds (the company that apperntly owns crop king seeds) of swapping seeds out of old unpopular strains with new popular strains to move old product. And that they don't have the distribution rights to there company Blimburn. Idk how true it is but with what I've seen with my plant so far I'm a bit concerned that it isn't in fact a dark angel plant. Oh well we well see. Well the last week the plant has started to show some amber trenchomes and as of today I'm seeing roughly 25% amber on the lower section of the plant. So today I start flushing. I know a lot of people say you don't have to flush but I disagree when it comes to hydro systems. Soil I get it trying to flush out all the nutrients is technically "impossible", I still do. But with hydro your plant has been directly absorbing the nutrients from the water with zero buffers like soil or coco and I find you can really taste it when you smoke it if you don't do a proper flush. I use the grotek final flush blueberry myself. The 500ml bottle I picked up a year ago when I did my blueberry has lasted a long time lol. My aerogarden grow box is going to be down for 2 weeks when this is done this grow. Got to make a few minor tweaks and then it'll be back up. Happy growing everyone

Thing dried a lot faster then other plants. I'm going to start curing it today but we'll be watching it like crazy to make sure it is completely ready before trying it out. When it came to to start cleaning up the buds, I spent a good 3 hours trimming, so many damn leafs lol.
