I soaked one seed in Vitathrive and water for 24hrs.
Then moved into paper town in a ziplock bag.
I kept it in darkness for 48hrs total until half and inch of tap root was exposed.
At this point I transferred to her 3 Gal pot.
Pre mix for the pot was:
Gaia Green All Purpose Fertilizer 4-4-4: 1 Cup (16 Tbsp)
Gaia Green Power Bloom 2-8-4: 12 Tbsp
Gaia Green Glacial Rock: 3 Tbsp
Gaia Green Alfalfa Meal: 2 Tbsp
Great White: 2 Tbsp
Micro Grow - Root Multiplier: 1 Tbsp
Worm Casting: 2 Cups
Coco Coir: 60%
Perlite: 30%
Well this week has gone well. The Shiskaberry seems to have woken and stated to stretch out.
One leave has a pale spot, just a slight shad of green lighter.
She will get a water soluble shot of great white next week.
This week has gone well.
She is tall, skinny and looking very healthy.
I defoliated the lowers fan leaves to prevent them from sitting in the pot.
I gave her:
Molasses: 1 Tsp
Epsom Slat: 2 Tsp
Another good week down.
She continues to stretch taller and remains pretty thin.
I've done some minor leaf tucking rather than defoliation.
I should be switching her to 12-12 in a few days, once my big plant comes out.
I gave her 1 Tsp of molasses this week in addition to her root builder.
I only switched her to 12-12 four days ago so its not quite week into flowering.
I turned the lights up to 300W and dropped it to 28 inches.
Humidity this week has been a bit tough to control. I have a bucket of water in my tent and its range is between 45 - 60%RH at any given time.
I defoliated all the remaining large fan leaves to allow all the lower nodes to get direct light exposure.
I top dressed her with a good feeding:
Gaia Green All Purpose - 2 Tsp
Gaia Green Power Bloom - 1 Tbsp
Gaia Green Glacial Rock Dust - 2 Tbsp
Gaia Green Alfalfa Meal - 1 Tbsp
Gaia Green Mineralized Phosphate - 2 Tsp
Great White - 1 Tsp
Earthworm Casting - 10 Tbsp
The ShiskaBerry has really come to life the last couple weeks.
She is showing sex now.
Her water intake has not changed this week.
I defoliated a large amount of fan leaves and smaller nodes in the undercarriage. Lots and lots of tops.
I gave her molasses at a rate of 1 Tsp per Gal of water.
She stretched a lot again this week. I hope it slows down or I may run out of height in tent.
Flowering is well underway as the nice cotton balls come in.
Nice silky smooth leaves with lots of tops.
No change to water intake.
I turned the light up to 400W this week and the water intake has also increased.
Trichomes have started to come in.
I will likely be feeding her next week.
I raised my light so the distance is now greater than my target of 28 inches. My light is now running a full power (500 Watt).
She has big thin leaves and the trichomes are really coming in well. Sprinkled with winter snow.
I top dressed her with:
Gaia Green All Purpose - 1 Tsp
Gaia Green Power Bloom - 2 Tbsp
Gaia Green Glacial Rock Dust - 2 Tbsp
Gaia Green Alfalfa Meal - 1 Tbsp
Gaia Green Mineralized Phosphate - 2 Tsp
Earthworm Casting - 10 Tbsp
The buds are not enormous but check out the trichomes and the way all the calyxes stack.
I have a bit of tip burn so the top dress may have been a tad too much so I skipped the molasses this week.
Some of the pistols are starting to turn light brown.
This week has gone well.
The buds are showing good growth and looking like their really packing on some weight now.
Trichomes EVERYWHERE!
I fed 1 Tsp of molasses in a gal of water.
There are still a lot of white pistols on her.
I tested run off this week and it was sitting around 5.8 - 6.0 PH. I've been watering between 6.3 -6.5 PH so there must be something causing the PH to drop slightly. Its not a concern however, it is something to monitor periodically.
I've started to get my first few amber trichomes so tomorrow i'll cut out the Calimagic and start the flush. Giving it Flawless Finish by Advanced Nutrients at 2ml per litre of water.
I turned my light down to 400W since were starting into the final weeks.
The flush is now underway as we near the finish.
Wow is this girl every fading well and I absolutely love the purple colour forming on the leaves.
I'll be giving her Flawless Finish for another week and then into 48hrs of darkness.
Next update will be the final product.
Overall this plant was easy to grow and did not receive any training. Im confident if I gave this plant more room to grow and maximized the 500W of light, she would have produced more bud.
Drying was a bit tough. Winter time and fighting low humidity so she dried in 8 days. typically my target is 14 days so we feel a bit short.
If you looking for a smoke packed with tastes and aroma, this one is for you.
