I started my second grow with Barney's Farm Wedding Cake auto in 20L Airpot in soil mix for organic reasons. I wanted to try liquid organic fertilizers after coco + mineral grow and compare the quality. 3rd grow will be with slow release dry amendments I think :) Grow planned technics: I will do only LST, will try to avoid any leafstripping technics to see what are plants real genetics without stress and loosing pressure in plant life support system, which then leads to 2-3 days stunted grow before healing and creating seal again. Soil Mix: 40% Coco, 20% Perlite, 20% Black Soil, 10% Worm Castings, 5% Vermiculite, 5% Sea Sand. Nutrients: I liked General Organics nutrients line, but my retailer did not had them all in stock, so I had to replace Biothrive with Roots Organics Buddha Grow and Seaweed with Age old Organics alternative. Also I added normal dose of fungi and mycorrhizae, trichoderma in the mix of 2ml of each nutrient to saturate the soil 1 week before germinating the seed to start ecosystem processes early and help seedlings with active soil already. Environment: TS1000 is on 20% power 12 inches away, It's pretty cold now and I want seedling to receive more warmth than 20c ambient temp. My Mars Hydro 70x70x160cm tent will arrive in January due to pandemic reasons and locally ordered custom replacement will be ready in 1 week, till then little girl will be growing under my workbench. Day 1: Seed germinated in 2 days after throwing it in soil 3cm deep, it sprouted with already pretty sturdy stem. Looks promising 🙌😍 Day 2: Seedling grew twice as long, so I added more soil to cover long stem and top holes on airpot to prevent spilling from the sides, around 2cm. Also under top added layer of soil mix I added fungus and trichoderma colony. Will repeat microbial injection in 4 weeks. Day 3: Tap root reached bottom of 20L pot, now she will getting true leaves. So germination stage almost completed. Day 4: I cut cola bottle to make small humidity dome, without grow tent I can't add any humidity to my room yet. I increased light to 25 000 lux, girl seem like it more Day 5: ... Day 6: Second set of leaves started to grow. I am keeping humidity high inside the coca-cola dome. Leaves were pointing up yesterday at so big angle, it seemed seedling is under light stress. I dimmed light to 20% and they started to return to normal Day 7: ...

Dear Community, What does seedling leaves point up so much? If I decrease power she begins to stretch, 15-25k lux makes her stop stretching and she starts to point leaves up. Is she stressed from light, or just happy?

I'd say she's just fine. Leaves "praying" usually indicates happiness. As you're paying attention to your light intensity, and the seedling is looking healthy, its probably a good sign.

Day 8: Girl looks happy in new home. Temporary custom 60x60x160cm Grow tent, I somehow fitted T6 ventilation system in it. Girl received vegetation feed today, will receive only PH balanced water till the end of the week. 1 Feeding per week will be enough for autoflower. I finally can raise the lights and increase intensity so soil won't get too dry and humidity levels will be kept in normal range. Watering - 2.5L full grow feed Day 9: I installed small fan to increase humidity from wet soil, girl feels happy AF, growing fast. I won't water it till the end of the week now. No watering Day 10: I increased humidity to 70% and girl boosted vegetative growth, second set of leaves got to the same size as lowers in hours. Also I increased PAR to 550 in the middle, seems she wastes a lot of energy to boost growth and likes extra light. No watering Day 11: My installed temporary PC fan did his job right, girl receives a little breeze from it and she doubled in size in 24 hours after increasing PAR and cooling leaves. I took the photo after lights were off for 1 hour today, so she looks sleepy. Will post tomorrow photo under lights on. No watering Day 12: Never seen such healthy seedling, she is like superfit model with ideal proportions and long and strong feet. Stem became so strong, even if bent 90 degree, it returns like a spring. It means plant has developed strong root system already and there is a lot of pressure now, I think trichoderma, mycorrhizae and fully organically saturated well aerated soil mix worked perfect. No watering Day 13: New leaves are shooting at crazy speed, I mist her every 6-8 hours and give foliar feed with Fish and Seaweed extract every 3 days now. Will do it once a week after full sized leaves appear Day 14: We have power outage today, so girl was taking sunbath for the whole day at 700 par and 16c temps. Leaves became dark green, she is super sturdy. Watering: 1L 6.5ph balanced water

Day 15: Side branches started to shoot out, she looks happy. I did 1L of grow feed mix. No more feeding this week, only watering Day 16: Side branches developed crazy fast in 20 hours, seems she loves showers every 6-8 hours. Stem is very sturdy, I might not be able to do LST even, it does not bend at all, leaves are super thick and strong. No watering Day 17: Only water spraying to cool down leaves and increase humidity while my humidifier is on it's way. Day 18: Girl received microbial life feeding today, molasses, diamond nectar, bio marine with 1L of 6.5 ph water. I will do only main NPK feeding on first day of week and do microbial feed at mid of the week, since bio marine and some organic nutrients pull down PH to 5.5 when used together. I also installed ~15W supplement grow light to the sides with Blue, UV, Red and Far Red spectrum to promode side branching without LST. Plant will be turned 90 degrees every day, lets see what will grow from this girl without any stress involving technics Day 19: Weekly foliar Fish and Seaweed shower today, we had power outage for 2 hours, to save UPS battery I turned main light off and left only 2x 15w supplemental bulbs to continue photosynthesis and reduce stress, and she was so beautiful in this shade, so I took several pictures. She shoots so many side branches so early, and they grow fast, I think light LST will be needed to keep them in shape, or I might let the girl grow as she wants if she will take nice shape by itself Day 20: Stem is too thick and is not bendable, so I gave it slight LST to improve side lightning penetration to promote branch growth, will do the same on other side in 2 days. Day 21: Foliar Fish and Seaweed spray applied, side branches improved. Tomorrow will change LST direction and then let girl grow as it wants

Day 22: Girl received full feed including organic bloom nutrient to let microbes break down that phosphorus and soil to be ready in 1 week to give it in preflower stage. I tried LST, stem is so hard, it's impossible to bend, so I did it carefully for top portion, which is more or less bendable. Girl reacted immediately, side branches doubled in size in several hours. Let's see where we get in 1 week :) Also I am increasing light schedule from 18/6 to 20/4 gradually, this week schedule will be 19/5 to get girl used for increased DLI Day 23: Foliar Spray Day 24: Leaf tucking and a little shower to increase humidity. We have 30% humidity outside, it's cold, humidifier will arrive in 2 days :( Day 25: 1.5L PH balanced water and some LST adjusting Day 26: Humidifier arrived, I accidentally snapped 1 branch when LST-ing. Girl recovered in 3 hours and now she is praying :) Day 27: Adjusted LST and turned off side lamps to promote vertical stretching. After getting humidity in 50%+ she boosted her growth vigorously Day 28: LST adjust, Foliar seaweed spray.

Day 29: More LST Adjusting, I had to remove 4x fan leaves to open the canopy and girl reacted in several hours with booming growth of branches. Photos attached. Did regular full feed 3L, will add water till the end of the week. Have to add 1 tsp of baking soda with feeding, since organic stuff drives PH below 5.0 when mixed. Day 30: She is getting bushier every hour. I adjust LST every 12 hours from now till the end of the week where I will leave her as it is before preflower stretch begins. She showed sex, that means she is mature and will need a lot of energy to start blooming on 16+ tops already, I changed light to 20/4 (19/5 last week transition from early veg), now she is ready to get that 800+ PAR 20 hours a day. With increased number of leaves and 60%+ humidity she started to sweat, even under fan. I moved humidifier to the room Tent is in, so it will drop humidity to ~45%, perfect for mid/late veg. Day 31: LST adjust, I had to remove 1 leaf and open 4x branches at the morning, you can see the difference at evening :) Also added coco coir mix to the top as a mulch, to keep soil under it moist. 1L of PH balanced water with molasses. Day 32: I was late at home and haven't touched her for 24 hour to adjust LST. She entered preflower stretch and main top gained about 4cm and snapped :( It will have impact on yield, but I am sure she will grow big and healthy girl anyway. Day 33: Girl entered preflower stretch phase, I did selective defoliation, removed 12 leaves total, only which were pointing inside the canopy and covering small tops from the stem. Also I will bring humidifier inside the tent today, with opened canopy she will be more comfortable with 60% humidity while flowers are forming. She received Seaweed + Diamond Nectar foliar spray feeding and 1L of PH balanced water with BioMarine today. Day 34: Slight LST adjustment, girl fully recovered and looks happy Day 35: One more top snapped, but I fixed it and seems she is already healing, leaves started pointing up. Juice from the stem is extremely sticky, it's a good sign. Also she has so thick stems and branches, almost impossible to bend. Next time I will check how she grows untouched and compare results. Tomorrow she will be given transition feeding

Day 36: Transition period fully began, I removed Grow fertilizer, other bottles have plenty of nitrogen to support her in flowering. I will be focusing on feeding her more magnesium so I added Blackstrap molasses back and raw honey, it's good source of magnesium, iron and fructose and glucose sugars, also provides food for microbes and fungi, to promote aggressive bud stacking. Refreshing microbial life next watering in mid week. Light schedule changed back to 18/6, I had peak 20/4 week during heavy LST to give her max DLI possible to promote new branch growth, now she looks tired 3 hours before lights go off, leaves bend and she is not praying anymore. 18/6 Schedule will give plenty of dark hours to give roots time to work and pump more nutrients to leaves, which will boost photosynthesis more. I found 18/6 optimal for this strain. Day 37: Plant fully healed broken 2 stems and now happy and thriving Day 38: 2.5L of water with Molasses, Raw honey and bit of beneficial bacteria and fungi as mid week boost. She turned her leaves upside down after foliar spray, I will stop foliar feed from this time and check how she goes. I have to deal with invasion of fungus gnats, small bastards die in hundreds on sticky trap but still have business in my grow tent. I added several heads of garlic, they hate it, will see how it goes. My proper sticky traps order was not delivered by amazon, had to order it again :( Day 39: I think I got rid from fungal gnats with peroxide drench method for main root area, also garlic and finally arrived sticky traps helped a lot. Girl was happy and praying for the whole day. Day 40: I reduced temp to 24c in the tent from 27, seems plant were feeling hot at the end of the day and trying to hide it's leaves. She did not twist the leaves today with lower temps. Also I did minor defoliation and removed some leaves which were covering lower flowers + adjusted LST to open her up more. Day 41: Leaf upside down turning fixed. I found problem in timer, it has 20min slider slightly off, so plant was receiving 20 min of darkness during peak of light period. I raised lights to 24" to decrease DLI, she seems to have plenty of energy left, will decrease height by 4" every day and see what her limit of light saturation is. Day 42: She is getting thirsty, I will water her tomorrow. Week results are good, she stretched pretty well, I found stress issue and we defeated fungus gnats :)

Dear community, plant was happy after foliar feed in VEG each time, now in preflower can it cause stress somehow? Other parameters did not change, except of light, she stretched a lot in last 2-3 days and got closer😨 Only 2 reasons what could cause stress, need advice 🙌

I found this to happen a lot after our foliar spraying with our outdoor plants. I'm assuming it's just the reaction from your plant and light intensity. Usually did it on our sunniest days. Can't say it was ever an issue thou. Plants came out great! Keep going don't see a worry really! 🤘😤

Day 43: I was late at home, and she was starting to show thirst symptoms. I mixed 3L of organic bloom feeding and did a good drench feeding. Lesson I learned with airpots, is to pack medium a bit tight at the walls, half of feeding gets spilled if soil dries. So I did slow 1.5L feed first, and did another 1.5L in half an hour, sound of water inside the pot meant, that dried channels are opened by moist of first 1.5L and nothing spilled from side holes, all went inside the medium. She bounced back even before second watering, seems root mass has recovered from hydrogen peroxide drenching. I adjusted LST a bit, opened center area, where all branches gather their main leaves and not shadow each other, I had to turn almost all branches a bit, to relocate final colas. Day 44: Morning Check, bad news, fungus gnats are not defeated, after good watering, larvae came up from the bottom of the airpot, they were millions. I quickly made hydrogen peroxide 1/3 mix and sterilized bottom of the pot, bitches were starting to move already. After that I fillet pot plate with peroxide mix and will let it stay for 20-30 mins, after it I will try to spray it into every hole on the pot. That's why airpots are shit for organic grow, too much holes and hideous places for invaders to hide and reproduce, they work best for coco or mineral grow :( I will use fabric pots again for organic next grow and leave this pot for coco/mineral purposes. Good news is that girl is so happy after full watering, I think she added couple CMs in 8 hours of darkness. Also bottom baby leaves started to yellow, she eats them, it's a good sign, which means she is actively trying to fill nutrient reserves in the tops. After investigation I found that millions of tiny white guys are soil mites, which are beneficial and thrive in rich organic compost environment. I will let them live in my pot for this time and control their population with drenching once a week and drying medium before. Day 45: Happy New Year :D :D Day 46: Girl received 1.5L of molasses + honey rich PH balanced water, I did some LST adjust. She looks very healthy and happy, so I decided to not remove any leaves or increase stress for now, seems she self regulates pretty well and started to cannibalize leaves, which are not receiving much light. Day 47: She started to show minor Cal Mag and Potassium deficiency, I gave her Cal Mag+ additional feed with 1L water. She is getting thirsty fast, I will increase watering to 1L per day. Day 48: Did minor defoliation, removed 3 lower mini branch, which was still undeveloped and 2 leaves blocking light to small buds. Will do big watering on 49th Day. Day 49: Gave her a good feed a bit earlier to fix CalMag and Potassium deficiency, also she shows minor phosphorus toxicity, but I think it's due to not sufficient calmag and K feeding. Also I am not excluding light burn, yellow tips appear only on newborn leaves, it disappears after leaf gets some size, I will rise light to 15" and change schedule to 20/4, it will give same DLI and decrease light stress. Will check if it helps

Day 50: Slight LST adjust and defoliation to even the canopy, It decreased plants total height to 40cm from pot surface. I increased light distance to 40cm, because she was getting a bit of light stress, as I found it's pretty usual for this genetics, but still, wanna let her flower in less stress. She has strong wild berry aroma and got very sticky. Lower buds receive much less light due the canopy, but at this time I don't want to stress her with defoliation and letting plant loose batteries, They don't have space to grow anyway, so I let her have some smaller buds. Even bottom less developed buds are rock sturdy and sticky. Also I gave her additional Cal-Mag and Potassium organic sources. I don't have flower booster like bio bud, it was out of stock, so I leave it as it is. 3L of full feed and watering Day 51: She is increasing stickiness and frostiness of buds, looks amazing😍 Day 52: Weekly foliage maintenance, I removed some bottom dying off leaves and some central ones to increase canopy light penetration. Also slight LST adjusting. She is doing great 🙌 No watering Day 53: 1.5L of 6.6PH water. Day 54: She started gaining weight pretty fast. 2-3 more weeks to flower, I suggest she will give great tasteful yield :) Day 55: Removal of died leaves Day 56: She got very thirsty, so I gave her 3L of full late flower feed on the last day of week 7, will update it next week on journal. It will be the last feed I think, medium has enough organic food to provide it to the plant and that beautiful autumn colors started to appear on leaves. 2 more weeks of gaining weight is enough, trichomes are 40% cloudy 60% clear, I will give her more time to fully ripen.

Day 57: Foliage is getting beautiful autumn colors, seems she does not care about feeding this time. I reduced light hours back to 18, as it seems she does now have enough time to rest and transport the nutrients from soil, also good rest in late flower is good for buds, they get bigger. Day 58: I removed some old died leaves, she entered late flower stage and using up all nutrients stored in fan leaves. Only watering now till the harvest. 1.5L 6.5PH balanced water watering today. Day 59: Daily maintenance Day 60: She got so beautiful red colors on dying fan leaves, also smell intensified. After reducing light to 18 hours from 20, new pistils started to shout out, that's the sign, that she has now time to get nutrients from roots, also leaves decreased coloring down pace, since she is getting more from roots now during nigh time. Day 64: First day of week 10. I did medium defoliation of leaves above the mid canopy to open it up more in ripening week, so all buds can have proper light. Purple colors started to appear ❤️ 3L water Day 65: ... Day 66: Regular foliar maintenance and adding 0.5L of water for upper part of the medium. I am thinking about not chopping her and letting her dry as in nature, just stopping watering after day 68 till she dies and dries out Day 67: Girl received last watering in her lifecycle. I will give her 1-2 days of darkness on 70th day. I did preliminary trim today, removed all non sugar leaves, that will make her drain nutrients from smaller leaves in the buds, making final buds cleaner to smoke, also faster to dry. Day 70: She is ready, trichomes 90% cloudy, 10% amber, 90% of pistils are brown, she smell is amazing. She will be given 2 days of darkness and chopped. I will post harvest in 1 week with final results :)

I haven't tried cured buds yet, but half of 70mm joint taken after drying just sent me to the 5 hour Trip>Stone>Trip>Couchlock>Trip>Hungry>Trip>Happy>Sleepy>Dance>shut down Journey! THC: Definitely above 20%, I am more sativa lover and all strains I have are above 20% THC and this thing beats most of them :)) Had minor phosphorus toxicity for the whole flower period together with cal mag and potassium deficiency, but plant was very strong and bouncy. She even topped herself in 2 days while under LST without my attention. Stems are easy to break, so LST is not recommended, pinching will have great impact on growth, so I will try to not to touch her next grow. She survived invasion of fungus gnats, had problems with soil, humidity first weeks, light burn and still grew very strong and solid. Will definitely grow it again and see how she grows by herself ❤️

@sickzone, in 20L pots, there is enough medium for auto to hold it for 2-3 days without watering in flower. I just fully saturate medium till minor runoff, then do it again in 3 days and see how much did it consume/evaporate. In soil you can't water every day like with coco, roots will rot and a lot of other problems will emerge. another method is to water when plant is thirsty, it promotes vigorous growth of roots in veg period and lets plant restart it's nutrient storage in flower
