Exciting times. I haven’t grown weed since 1982 so really looking forward to this in my retirement years.
Germination occurred in 24 hours. Transferred the seeds when they had 3/4 inch tails
Greetings from the great white north 🇨🇦 Today is day 10. I think they are looking ok and appear to be on schedule when I look at other photos online. I added a second light and removed the humidifier from the tent. I find as long as the tent is closed it will hold at 60% and 77 degrees. I also started checking pH today and adjusting down to 6.5 My water is close to 8 out of the tap. I let it sit 24 hours and then add nutes. A couple drops of vinegar when needed. I’m pretty happy so far!

Day 17 — All seems to be going well for my first auto grow. Plants have picked up the pace and they have nice strong side shoots coming on already. Checking and controlling the pH and EC has really made a huge difference in both growth and appearance. I am watering every second day right now. Each plant is getting 300ml. I imagine I will start training end of next week. I plan to top them both and let those side shoots take over. I am a little surprised that they smell as much as they do right now. Might have to get a fan and filter sooner than I expected. Overall I am very happy with this grow. Cheers!

Day 24 — I decided to top the LB on day 21. I also defoliate one of them just to see what difference it makes. I think I did it early enough to make sure they have time to recover. I added a vivosun filter and fan. The smell was getting strong. I do love the smell but because I have the setup in my spare bedroom I didn’t like the whole house smelling that pungent. I bumped up the nutes to full strength and increased the watering amount. Even though the plants look healthy l felt like I was depriving them a bit. I am pretty happy so far but I am starting to feel impatient. I feel like the plants are behind where they should be. Any feedback on this or any other thoughts are always appreciated. I am also including pics of the WW. I am just letting them do their own thing. They are getting the same nutes as the LB but I am doing no training. IMO they are beautiful.

Things are going well. The addition of the filter and fan have made a big difference in control of the tent environment. Water usage still seems light to me. It is currently .6 litre every two days. I am training to 6 main shoots and removing all side shoots. Also tucking leaves and sometimes removing if it won’t stay out of the way. The plants have definitely recovered from the topping and I am expecting to start seeing flowering soon. I can’t wait to flip the switch on the lights and start building bud. Hope everyone is doing well! Cheers from Canada! 🇨🇦

Day 38 — The ladies did well this week. Good growth gain. Still no flowering yet which really surprised me. I tried bloom lighting for a half day just to see what the conditions would be in the tent. Temps went up 8 degrees and humidity dropped 10 percent. I cranked up the vent fan and opened 2 side vents on the tent to get things back in control. Now I know. I moved my circulation fan to the top of the tent as floor space is limited now. Lights were raised 6 inches this week. I have to keep reminding myself that I am really just over halfway through this grow. Seems a lot longer. As far as the white widow go. I did end up topping them and they are coming along fine. They seem like they are about 7-10 days behind the Lambs Breath even though they were started at the same time. You can see them on the outside of the tent pictures. See you next week when I hope to say we are in flower 😊

Day 45 — The ladies have done well the last week. They did indeed start flowering about day 42. Once I saw that I started thinning the plants. Water intake is up now to 1.5 litres every 2 days. The smell is strong coffee now. Not sure which plant is giving that scent off but it is very noticeable. Have to keep the bedroom door closed now. I watched several vids by Kush regarding pruning. I used some of his techniques and some of my own. I won’t thin anymore after what I did today. Just going to let them go. I am very happy with how things are going so far. Merry merry Christmas! 🎄

Day 52 — The girls are really stretching now. They are in full flower mode. I have both switches on for lighting. The flowers seems thin and weak to me so I will give them another week and if they don’t improve I may buy some cal mag for them. Happy New Year
Day 59 — Started running into issues with the WW plants this week. Either nutrient burn or calcium deficiency. I flushed the plants heavily and monitored for a couple days. The issue slowed but was still there. Decided to hit the grow shop by my place and picked up some sensi bloom. I now have all 4 plants on it today. Fingers crossed that this corrects things. The LB plants have been doing better although one plant took off in height and the other in blooms. Genetics I guess. The short plant should give a nice yield. Looking forward to a better week. Cheers!
Day 63 — All progressing well. The Sensi bloom fertilizer has fixed all issues and the buds are really coming on now. I still have no explanation why one LB is tall and lanky and the other is stocky and thick. Only difference was I topped them a week apart. I switched to 12/12 schedule today. Read somewhere that resin production increases on that schedule. I am also just running bloom lighting for the past week. Seems to benefit them so will continue. I figure another 2-3 weeks and it will be time to harvest. Cheers!
Day 70 — Cruising right along with the grow. Can’t say enough about the Sensi Bloom. I will definitely be using it for the next grow. Both Veg and Bloom. Buds are really filling on the short LB. Getting fat and sticky. Smell is really nice as well. Remind me of the pot from the 70’s. I’m starting to stress a bit about when to harvest. I don’t have a magnifying glass strong enough to see the trichromes. Is there another telltale sign the plant is ready? I’m starting to see the red hairs so is that an indication flowering is winding down? I still think I have a couple weeks, but will be watching them closely. Thanks for reading.
Day 77 — Things are going well. I started flushing the short LB this week as I think it is very close to harvest time for that plant. The other 3 plants have a few weeks to go. I found a magnifying glass and have been checking trichomes. They are still glassy and clear even though there is 100 % red hairs. I am thinking I will flush a third time tomorrow and then Wednesday it will go in the dark for 3 days and then harvest on day 84. Can hardly wait. I think I may get a few ounces for my work 👍.
Day 84 — Still going strong. Stop feeding nutes. Just water now. Plants are frosting up nicely. Pics are from the tall lambs breath. Short one is in the dark.
