6 Freebies from Seedsman into 6Lt Biobizz with a little EchoThrive for good measure.
Started in paper towel, waited for 1mm tap root, put in to Root Riot pellets stored in a humidity tent. Soon as a few roots appeared on all, in to soil.
They are currently being kept under individual plastic cups 2/3 of the day to increase humidity. 😀
So far so good, things are where I'd expect them to be. None are showing any damming deformities or mutations, which is nice.
The RH is currently sitting around 85% so the humidifier has seen little use.
It's getting a wee bit cold at night, 17C ish - may invest in a smal oil heater....
I think the echothrive and original root juice nutes are holding out well - they've been hand watered once.
Looking good so far. Was struggling with night time tems dropping below 17c - added an oil heater just outside the tent to bring the ambient up a little. Sitting at around 20c night, 25c day.
The extractor fan also comes on at night now to help keep the humidity in check. It's been shooting up to 100% lately and staying there. Past week has been a stable 65%, jumping slightly after spraying, as expected.
The BB-B is clearly indica dominant, very large leaves for such a young plant - expecting it'll be short, thick and not too bushy.
Looking forward to next week! Expecting some serious movement, if they get big enough, I'll start a little LST.
Things are looking ok so far. Plants are where I'd expect them to be for the end of week 3. Good nodes coming through, plants are staying short and bushy.
I have also perfromed a litttle LST this week, tying 5/6 plants down to the pots so as so increase light to the budsites, usually hidden by fan leaves.
BB-A got skipped as was too small to reach the rim of the pot - will serve as a comparison later on. I doubt I'll top or FIM these ones but will continue to maintain the structure and pull down / tie off nodes as they grow.
The Invisible Sun has been turned to 100w now and I've moved things around a little, this was to increase light in the far corners.
With regards to nutirents, I'm using the full BioBizz soil kit, the FULL one. With additional Cal-Mag. I do however only feed Cal-Mag every other nutirent feed as I find it sticks around in soil, causing spindly leaves, eventually lockout.
I also do a one on one off feed, alternating between just water and a nutirent solution. Find it keeps the soil happy.
Has a bit of a nutrient deficiency, earlier in the week - gave them a heavier feed and they perked right up. I've continued with the traning, no topping as yet. The side branches are coming in thick which is nice to see.
4/6 of the plants have sexed, female, just waiting on the other two, cant see it being too long.
This week (5) I'll look to remove the fan leaves and start to pin things down a little more.
Thinking in the next two weeks or so the final structure will start to show better. Will be looking to 12/12 thereafter.
Ladies are starting to take good shape now. Have around 100 plant bends in place. Idea is to take the lower branches usually covered by fan leaves and expose them to more light.
Growing in a restricted height room, I need to keep the plants low and wide, as opposed to long and tall.
This can negatively impact yeilds if not managed correctly however having done it before, I feel it most suited to my grow style / area.
All the girls have had the larger fan leaves removed now, as well as any new growth below the 2nd new node. I'll keep doing this for the next few weeks.
With any luck the arms will have toughened up a little and be ready to flower!
Things are starting to get a little bushy. This will I'll start to remove some of the lower growth.
Hoping to be able to take some cuts from a few of these soon, few areas looking good for it.
Was a little worried last week that by not topping the plants at all, some of the branches wouldn't thicken up at all - they have!
Need to re-home the autos, tent has run out of space (did not expect these to get SO wide) - soon as that's done I'll flower these girls!
