Both plants grew differently, plant 1 had a purple tinge to it but plant 2 grew more colas. Amazing smell. Tried a few small buds that came off in trimming and tastes strong. Some has dried off to be cured, plant 1 has held more size in the colas than plant 2. Had another taster, strong taste and smell.

Learnt a lot from these 2 plants, easy to grow and a respectable yeild but could get more if I did a few things differently. The grow questions helped through the grow. I will add more to the harvest in a week or so. Day 91, cut down, buds are ok, plant 1 is stronger in the effects, it looked like it would be when growing, more trichomes. Overall nice grow and ok yeild at just under 3oz. Time for curing, hopefully see some improvement in taste and smell.

I followed some advise and removed a lot of leaves, big and some small, I am regretting it. Im on week 7, day 47. Was this a mistake to do it so early?

I would say you have stripped to much in the last pictures. She will be stressed but will recover over time. As it's an auto it's not recommended to go overboard with leaf stripping . It will definetly add more time to your grow as there is less photosynthesis taking place . But on the plus side it will get light to every bud site and airflow will be better . In future with autos you should get a good shape with LST in Veg first ,then only minimal(selective) defoliation is required in flower . The less stress the better.

I have 2 plants, When is best to start the finishing process, flushing etc?. Should I wait for the leaves to start turning yellow?

You still have some time before your plants are mature, so no need to panic just yet. I agree with what The8thChevron said, flushing is not super critical, giving plain water for the last 5-7 days before harvest is all that is really required. On the topic of leaves, please, please do not remove anymore healthy green leaves, your plant needs her maximum amount of leaves to produce the maximum amount of energy, so she can grow her maximum flowers. Each leaf is like a "solar panel", less solar panels = less energy = less growth. I would also recommend going back to 18/6, this is the optimum day length for cannabis, any more is basically a waste of electricity. Cannabis can only grow so much during any 24 hour period and growth tops out at about 18 hours. 18 hours was derived at through over 80 years of scientific research and is a fact, not a random number plucked out of thin air. Plants do also actually need to "sleep" and undertake certain metabolic processes that they can not do during "lights on" time. I believe 24 hours of light for days/weeks/months on end, basically amounts to plant "torture". Nowhere on this planet has any plant ever evolved to perform best under continuous lighting. I am sure your plant will not be able to produce fully developed cannabinoids while existing without "sleep". She is no doubt completely exhausted by now and under some certain stress, a condition that is not conducive to peak trichome production. Be kind to her and she will give you kind flowers. Continuing with a torturous non stop lighting schedule will produce tortured flowers. Going back to 18/6 will not effect your plant detrimentally, in fact she will probably respond by growing faster and healthier. And that is what it is all about - healthy plants = healthy flowers. Hope this helps, and sorry for the lecture, but I am acting in the best interests of your plant. Organoman.
