Germination
Ran into a couple minor issues. First as it turns out one of my free sample seeds is a photoperiod, Critical Purple Cush (CKP). I didn't realize until the germination process had already begun. I plan to grow it in veg until the other 3 autos are almost done. Second, while transferring the germinated seedlings to the the medium one of the taproots broke off of GSC #2. I planted both the broken taproot and seed together with some Great White micro. Hoping for the best. Also, the CKP by Seedsman didn't germinate great. Interestingly it was the first to crack open during the shot glass phase but then never progressed at all during 48 hours in paper towel. I decided to go ahead and plant it since it had split open. All 3 Autos planted in 3 gal pots have successfully germinated and have begun to sprout within 48-60 hours. The CKP planted in the dixi cup has not yet, its probably a little slower than the autos. Update: after 1 week all 3 autos are looking great and on their way. Unfortunately the CPK never sprouted. I removed it from the soil after a week and placed back into the paper towel for a few days to see if it would germinate but it never did. At least this solves my photoperiod being mixed with autos issue.

My 1-2 day old seedling sprouts are a little droopy. Would this be a symptom of overwatering? I have been keeping the surface of the soil moist with a spray bottle but should I be letting it dry out now?

The soil does look over watered. Let it dry out and then water only bout an ounce of water

Monday I noticed a few of the lower oldest leaves were beginning to look a little wavey, I had read this could be early signs of calcium deficiency, however I also read it's normal. Either way I have been using distilled water and have not given any cal/mag yet so they could probably use some. I mixed 1 gal water with 2.5ml cal/mag along with 1 tbl molasses and 1/2 tsp great white. I split the gal between all 3 plants. *This was the only water they needed all week. All 3 began to flower right on days 20/21. I turned on the full spectrum light and began my low stress training.

Lots of new growth. A deficiency has emerged that I think is potassium. It's about the right time for that. They have been getting cal/mag so not likely that. Ph and ppm are fine. They are getting a feeding in a day or two which should correct it.

Is this potassium deficiency? Starts as yellow whitish blotches on lower older leaves, also on tips/edges. Leaf eventually yellows. Also purple stems on affected leaves. Autoflowers started preflower about a week ago and have not had a real K feeding yet. Any ideas?

Have u been feeding it calmag? If so it may be an excess of calcium. 🤘😤

Still dealing with some deficiencies that I believe are due to ph being too low. I was able to get the ph a little better today when watering to now 6.35. My cheap ph meter from vivosun died as well today lol, got a nice one now. Hopefully now that I have my ph better it will end the calcium lockout and allow for better phosphorus uptake. Also did a dose of Grow today, girls are looking pretty lime green indicating needing nitrogen. Runoff PPM a little higher than I'd like at 1200 but hopefully in soil it will be fine. These Autoflowers are tough to gauge because they are vegging and flowering all at once. Raise light every other day or so maintaining between 28-30 inches over canopy. RH avg 53, Day temp max 80, night low 72. GSC 1 doing very well with training and maintaining a nice evening canopy. GSC 2 also training well, nice quite as open but still a nice bush. White Widow I ended up needing to tie down to keep more even with others. She is not real happy in general but still forming a nice main cola. Hopefully she'll start doing better with ph corrections.

Got my ph balanced out and starting to get my nutrients dialed in better. GSCs still seem N hungry but are looking better. They are stretching so still needing more. Calcium and phosphorus issues seem to be also better.

Getting close to the end. Another week or two until harvest. Lots of lessons learned. I know I can do so much better next crop and can't wait to get going on it soon as this one is done. Especially with the white Widow, I know I can do much better next time.
