Germination
Didn't get pics of the germination itself, but started as soon as they popped up through the soil. I started my autos in glasses of water. All floated at first, but just gave a little tap to get them to sink. As soon as I saw the first sign of tap root, I pre-moistened (not drenched) my FFOF soil in 2 gallon fabric pots. I used a paper towel to filter water from the glasses as I poured them out, in case the seed came out I could catch it with the paper towel. Then used sterilized tweezers to carefully move the seedling to the pot. I dug a .5" hole and put the seed in then lightly covered with soil. Then sprayed lightly with filtered tap water from spray bottle to keep soil moist on top inch. I then covered pots with plastic wrap and put in the dark tent. I continued to watch top of soil to keep it moist with the spray bottle. After about 2-3 days, sprouts popped from the soil. As soon as they break the surface, I removed the plastic and turned lights (TSL-2000) on at 50% power for 24 hours at 24" then switched to 18/6.

As soil began drying out, I started pouring water very very slowly around the base of the stems and let it soak down into the soil. Since they’re in final pots already, I only water in a 2-3" circle around the plants. That takes 2-3 days before soil is drying out again and I repeat watering. So far, I’ve been watering about 4 hours before lights out. I am adding Fox Farms Big Bloom, but at 1/4 of the recommended dosage and only every other watering, since I’ve read Autos are sensitive to nutes. Added small fan to move air around seedlings to strengthen stems. Moved light drivers outside of the tent to reduce internal temperature. Running 190 CFM inline exhaust fan, auto with the light.

Starting Week 2! All three ladies doing great... Blueberry is the beast of the three and Amnesia Haze the runt (as expected). Light moved up to 30" and 100% and dropped humidity to 60%. Week 2 coming to a close today! Starting Week 3 tomorrow.

Starting Week 3 today! Adding in FF Grow Big with Big Bloom. Keeping same temp and humidity parameters. Still only watering 3 inches around the stems but as their leaves start reaching the edge of the pots, I plan on starting to water to runoff. All three plants still looking good! Week 3 coming to a close and still looking healthy (as far as I can tell anyway). Just watered to runoff for the first time today (ph'd water only) and will be adding in the Big Bloom and Grow Big next watering. Crazy how much they grew in a week! (Side-by-Side pic).

Starting Week 4! Still looking good. Expecting to start seeing some buds later this week! Week 4 going great. Noticed a lot of new growth up under bigger fan leaves so started leaf tucking. Realized just tucking wasn't going to give me best results to get light down further so started light defol on the bigger fan leaves. I pulled off about a dozen leaves yesterday and a few more today. Gonna keep trying to keep new growth exposed to the light. I'm not planning any other training methods... Just gonna let em grow. And they're growing like crazy right now! Starting to get sticky trichomes on the leaves and they're starting to smell. Flowering is right around the corner Week 4 coming to a close today. Starting week 5 tomorrow. Bud sites starting to pop up... Did notice some downward curling in the Northern Lights leaves this morning. Not sure what's going on there but will keep an eye on it.

Why are my Northern Light leaves starting to curl downward? Other 2 plants not showing signs of this... Only feeding every other watering and at 1/2 recommended dosage. From reading other articles likely nitrogen toxicity? Or wind burn from small fan on it? Ideas?

I would check runoff ph, you are feeding at 6.3....soil should be 6.5-6.8. Happy growing.

Week 5 starting and all three ladies still looking good! Northern lights lagging a little but wondering if got a little too cool for it near my passive intake. Rearranged a little and redirected my intake fan away from the pots so hopefully that will help. Also going to 24 hour lights to help hold temp more stable through the night. Flowering started on NL and AH. BB been pre-flowering for a few days now. Should start seeing flower soon. Going to start Tiger Bloom and CalMag with my nutes this week and scale back on nitrogen. Happy growing! 12.27 update - Switched over to 20-4 lights to see if that will help Blueberry along. She's been on the brink of flowering for over a week now.

Week 6 starting today! Everything looking good through 5 weeks... Blueberry still lagging a bit as she's been "stuck" in pre-flower for over a week now. Started Tiger Bloom late last week so hoping the flower nutes will spark her to flower. Other than that smooth sailing! Happy growing all!!

Anyone see leaves that look like this before? Twisting around on all the new growth. And she's been stalled in pre-flower for over a week now. Any suggestions would be appreciated. She has the same run-off readings as the other two, but the only one that looks like this...

I’ve noticed this happen on a few of my Autos, in fact my Zkittlez is doing it currently. I have learned to let it be, unless it is coupled with some other concerning symptom.. mine were always on the new growth like that and always managed to grow out of it as the leaf progressed in growth

Week 7 starting today and things are still looking good. I have a minor fungus gnat issue that I'm treating with sticky traps and also watered with H2O2 diluted 4:1. Hoping I can get rid of them before they do any damage. Blueberry still lagging on flowering, but she's exploded in size while she progresses. Thinking she's going to be a huge yield but time will tell. Happy growing!

Week 8 started today. Still looking good... battling a very minor fungus gnat issue. Using DE and sticky traps and seems to be getting rid of them. Found some yellowing leaves midway down and on the bottom of all three. Hoping it's just a little nute deficiency. I fed today with CalMag and FF Trio. I pulled the yellowing leaves so I'll keep an eye out for any new ones and monitor. Ordering my microscope this week. Something tells me I'm going to need it in the next couple weeks :) Happy growing! Day 54 update (Pics) - Microscope came in and trichomes are looking great! Still about 99% cloudy but starting to see some amber. Cutting off nutes to these two and hoping to harvest them in next 10 days or so. I'll keep an eye on the trichs and plan on harvesting AH with 70% cloudy/30% amber and NL at 50%/50%. Just ordered my dry tent... basically duplicating my grow tent setup without the light and on a smaller scale.

Week 9 starting today. I think I can say I have eliminated my fungus gnat problem. Haven't seen one in over a week now. AH and NL fattening up nicely. I'm monitoring trichome development and thinking I'll be harvesting AH and NL this weekend. Switched over to straight water for those two. BB still flowering. Guessing I'll have a couple weeks after harvesting NL and AH before BB will be ready. I'll get harvest pics posted next week! Happy growing!!

Tips of Northern Light buds turning brown and dying. They just crumble to dust. I've cut away all of what I can see to be affected. I've read it's likely bud rot but I've always thought that would be more moldy looking. Just don't want it spreading to other plants. Any thoughts?

Yes unfortunately that's botrytis aka bud rot. Thing is it starts from the inside out. So by the time u can see it on the exterior the mold has taken a strong hold. Only in the very beginning it looks like typical mold . White wispy fluffy shit. But that only occurs on the interior of your bud formations. Hard to catch at that point as it's just starting out. Best first indicator is random dead leaves within your flowers, that seem very out of place. The fungai attacks the small stems of leaves and buds first as it's the easiest route of entry. Making that the first best indicator u need to inspect your colas. Happy growing and stay lit fam.

Harvested Amnesia Haze and Northern Lights! Blueberry still has a couple weeks, at least. Did bud washing on both AH and NL as I had a small bout of bud rot on the NL at the end of flowering and wanted to make sure I didn't have any spores still lingering. Went well... Lost a lot of pistils but other than that, no visual ill effects of the washing process. Drying at 52% RH and 68F. Can't wait to get fire this up!! Happy growing!

Ended up not saving any of the Northern Lights for smoking as it was pretty stunted from bud rot. Think fungus gnats had a hand to play in that as well. So I'll be using the entire NL plant for extraction to try making some edibles.
