I started this diary and cannot access my account so I’ve started it again
Canna coir with full canna nutes range and additional calmag and silicone
Barneys blue cheese seeds x 3
Sunset sherbet clone x1
Tent is 1mx0.5x1.8
I started them off with a Mars ts 600 for a few weeks then replaced that for 2x mars ts100 and had them on about 50%
I stared the blue cheese seeds by germinating them in paper towels and after a few days once root appeared I put them in plastic cups . I slightly wet the coco with 1ml/ltr rhizo and ph to 5.8
The sunset sherbet clone was transplanted into a 3l airport once I received it . It was in a small pot with soil so stared the nurse low to get it use to the coco and nutes
Temps 70-85
Humidity 70-80%
Blue cheese - Nothing much happening growing nicely still using same nutes as week 2 , feeding every 2 days to run off. They will be getting transplanted to bigger pots next week and ready to top and start training .
Sherbet - still very slow and slight yellowing
Blue cheese : This week I lowered the Rhizotonic to 1ml per litre and upped the canna a&b by 0.2 (1.2ml/ltr) and also started using silicon by shogun I’m using that at .5ml/ltr .
On day 25 I re potted 2 of them Into 11.5ltr root pouches and 1 in a 3ltr air pot
2 days after the repot I topped all 3 plants
I will probably give these a couple more weeks to recover and fill out . I will start the lst once the new growth is big enough to tie back .
Sunset sherbet: repotted into a 20l airport , it’s started to take off I’m just tiring the new growth down and training when needed
Mars Hydro ts1000 is on 75% and I lowered it to 20” above plants
I also turned on my mars hydro ts600 at the same distance , this has surprised me that it hasn’t made much difference to my temps maybe just a little bit more humidity but I just turn my extractor fan higher and it’s all good .
There really taking off now nice new growth from after topping and lower branches catching up .
I replaced my mars ts 600 for a ts1000 so now have 2x ts 1000 on75%
I started lst on 1 plant tieing it down but after a few days I installed the SCRoG net so just removed the tie as the net can do the job now .
I removed lower growth and some fan leaves to give more light to bud sights .
I think I will keep them in veg another 1-2 weeks to fill out the canopy more . I have such a small space and height is a issue so might flip them sooner gonna keep an eye on them and see how they go.
This week I changed the scrog net (2”holes) it’s about 7” above the pots
upped the nutes to 1.8-2 ec .
Watering every morning to about 10% run off
Sprayed with canna cure (350ml per ltr)
They have really started taking off
Lollipop and defoliation
There’s still not sign of sex but they are feminised seeds so I will be flipping to 12/12 by next week hopefully they show signs by then .
Week 1 flower
Keeping them on veg nutes till stretch is done so about 3 weeks
Slowly lowering the light every day
I will keeping tucking them under the net to fill the net and keep a even canopy . I will do this for 2 weeks , then lollipop and defoliate
The 3 blue cheese plants are on the left side of the tent under 1 light and the 1 x sunset sherbet plant is on the right side under the other light
Still using veg nutes for first 2-3 weeks of flower till stretch is done then start the boost and will add pk13/14 on start of week 5
I keep tucking them under the net for the first 2 weeks of flower then just let them do there thing and will add another net to support the buds
3rd week of flower , I’ve started the boost at 1.5ml per litre , both my lights are about 6-7” away from the tops of the plants and are not causing any issues .
I’ve lowered my humidity to 45% in the day and about 55% at night , had to purchase a decent dehumidifier and put it outside the tent .
Gave them there last lollipop and defoliation on end of week 3 .Will only take some fans leaves off when needed from now
Week 4 flower : everything’s looking nice still got the lights about 7-9” from top of canopy without any issues . The humidity has gone up to 50% in day and I can’t really get it any lower I’ve already got a dehumidifier so don’t want to get another one . I would like to lower to 40-45% and lower for last 2 weeks but can’t see that happening .
I’ve started the pk from end of week 4 (day 28 )at 1ml per litre this took my ec to 2.2 I will see how it goes and maybe up it to 1.2-1.5 and I’m going to use the pk for 7-14 days then I will start the flush
I also lowered the silicone to 0.5ml per litre
3x blue cheese plants are on the left but has spread over

Week 5 flower : upped the a&b to 2.5ml litre and steered the pk at 1.2ml per litre
Blue cheese : they have completely outgrown the sunset sherbet . I’ve raised the light as the buds at the back of the tent were literally 1” away it didn’t do much harm although the leaves on them buds started to curl a little so I thought best to raise it now before it causes any stress . I’m still watering everyday to run off . I removed a few fan leaves but I am considering doing a bigger defoliation in a few days as the fan leaves have taken over . They are really starting to smell very sweet and filling out .I was worried about these seeds as I have grown Buddha blue cheese about 10 years ago and now they have changed the name to blueberry cheese and I was told they will be different from 10 years ago . So far I don’t think so as they look the same and smell the same at this point I can’t see any difference which I’m happy about as I haven’t had any good blue cheese for many many years .although they smell the filter is definitely controlling the smell outside the tent .
Sunset sherbet : although it hasn’t grow very big it’s very frosty and starting to smell .
I will carry on the pk for another 3-7 days and will start the flush about 6 1/2 weeks in for 2 weeks with plain water
I will also defoliate about in a few days
Week 6 flower : I stopped the pk half way through week 6 so it had a total of 10 days feed with pk13/14 I also cut out the silicone and calmag on the same day .
I defoliated a little as there was a lot bud sites covered . I am going to start the flush in 3 days which will be
. .6 1/2 weeks into flower , going to give them 2 weeks flush with plain water .
Still have a bit of leaf curl from the light being so close I did move it but because the canopy is not so even it’s hard to get it right .
Week 7 flower : I defoliated a little just to give bud sights more light .
Started flush on 6 1/2 weeks I’m just giving plain water and ph to about 6.0 . Watering everyday to about 20-30% run off and the ec of the run off is 1.0ec gonna be flushing everyday for next 1-2 weeks .
Week 8 flower : still flushing with ph water everyday the run off ec is 0.5 gonna keep flushing for another week . Finishing on 9 weeks
The blue cheese I have 2 different phenos . 1 is very blue and weird shaped leaves and is nearly ready gonna give it till end of the week and do 48hrs on dark before harvest
The other blue cheese is more green but has grown a lot bigger the colas are amazing it definitely needs another 7-10 days .
Sunset sherbet this will be flushed for a few more days and left in dark for 48 hrs
This is the first time using led lights and all the bad stuff I heard about mars hydro . I have to say I’m very impressed with what it’s done .
Week 9 flower :
Sunset sherbet : about 8 1/2 weeks I finally harvested, once I actually cut it out the net I realised there was so much yellow unfinished bud as it was way to compact in the tent . So I chopped all the heads off and put it back in the tent gonna leave it a week or 2 more just to see if I can get it to mature a bit . This plant was a clone and from day 1 it was not healthy but was told it was a super strain . I managed to get it growing but was always slow and very thin stalks . But I can tell it’s going to be a special smoke , the buds are rock solid and frosty . I have had to make a little cardboard dry box as the tent is still in use . They will be dried for about a week then put in jars to cure . I will report back with a final weight and smoke .
Blue cheese : I have 3 blue cheese plants 2 in 12litre pots and 1 in a 3l pot . There is 2 phenos one is very blue and smelling more blueberry and other 2 more green Cheese looking .
The blue pheno was in a 12l pot I took it out the tent and left in dark for 48hrs this was done about 9 weeks of flower . Once I actually took this out the net I couldn’t believe how big the buds were , it smells so nice and buds look very blue and frosty . This will also be hanged in a box and dried for 7-10 days and then cured . Will report back with final weight and smoke report
The greener more cheese looking pheno is in a 12l pot is by far the biggest the buds are massive , this is still not ready and looks like it needs another week or 2 . I will keep flushing it till then and do same process as above apart from I will dry this in the tent
The smallest plant that’s in a 3l pot is still not ready maybe another 3-7 days but will probably just leave it till the other one above is ready . I shouldn’t have really put this one in the tent I should have left the extra space for the others but still looks nice and some big buds .
Overall I am amazed with the mars hydro lights I have 2x 1000ts and they have done better then when I used hps but that was some years ago . No one can tell me mars are not good light , I have literally taken day by day photos and u can see the results .
This plant gave me trouble from day 1 but it was definitely worth it , the only issue was that it was to cramped in the tent and the branches were to close so was a lot of light green buds underneath . I cut the top buds off which weighed 2oz and left the plant in the tenat for another week or so then harvested the rest which was about 1.5 oz but not fully matured buds but still has so much flavour . This is one of my favourite plants I’ve ever grown . The taste is unbelievable it’s got a nice earthy kind of old school cheese taste . After all the bad reviews and comments about mars hydro well I don’t want to hear anything again . This is the first time using led and it’s the biggest yield I’ve ever had , not saying it’s the lights I did go over the top with this grow and everything was near enough perfect. I managed to pull about a total of 12oz with 2x mars ts1000 in a 0.5m2 space.
Very disappointed I use to grow blue cheese about 10 years ago and was always my favourite smoke from smell to look to taste . These new Barneys blueberry cheese seeds are nothing like they use to be . Although they smelt the same all through the grow they have no taste or smell of cheese or blueberry. The plants also were very weird looking .1 was so blue/purple I’ve never seen it that colour before it had weird pouches I thought they were seeds but wasn’t . Definitely won’t be doing them again .
The only plus side is I pulled about 9oz of the 3 not forgetting 1 was in a 3l pot and still got over a oz from that .
