Things going ok so far, will start to feed them tomorrow (only water so far) in accordance with biobizz schedule I've copied to my grow schedule. Swapped to 24 hour light last week also.

I'm keen to give my seedlings the best start in life so have given them 24hr LED grow lights, however I also want them in the greenhouse under natural light. Q) at what point is best to transfer them to the greenhouse?

Not sure about the 24/24 light on : roots require darkness to fully develop. 20H of light and 4H of darkness will probably give you better results than 24H of light. I would try to synchronize the light with the sun and transfer them into the greenhouse once the roots are visible from below and the plants have been repotted in bigger containers. Good luck with these babies !

Q) What techniques can I employ to maximise yield? I'm not sure they're all the same strain...

Hey brother. I will advise you to let her recover from the over watering before training her. Over water can look like many different issues so it can be tricky to identify. Correct that and let her recover before topping her because she is stressed right now also she is very young and vulnerable so topping will just stress her more and can develop root rot. If you are a first timer in the training techniques I would recommend lst only. Tie your branches down to help her develop the secondaries stems. Since you are growing out doors I wouldn't advise you to defoliate since the leaves help her protect against bugs and plagues. Don't over think, outdoors is almost better to let her do her thing alone. Yields outdoors are big without training. Indoors is better to train since we only have so much room available. Outdoor you can let her grow as big as the season let her... more important right now, fix the over watering. And in a week you will see a huge difference. I hope I was helpful to you my friend. Peace

Help, my leaves are dieing, I think I may have been overwatering. Is this a symptom. Spiders and slugs are a problem too any tips? I laid back on watering and new growth has appeared, it’s a fine line though before they dry out in the 50 deg peak temp.

Hi there! You may have overwatered your plants, but they're also showing other symptoms, I think you overfed and gave too much nutrients in the past weeks. Now, about your slugs&snails attacks, the best way to ensure they won't be a problem is to secure your plant with a physical barrier, I've managed to build some great protections with plastic bottles (on babies), or in late stages with tarpaulin around stakes. Otherwise you can catch them by creating simple traps, they're attracted by orange rinds, milk and beer, so you just have to fill a yogurt pot with beer and wait for them to drown themselves into beer paradise. I'll be around, keep us up-to-date, and happy growing!

You can't grow in a greenhouse without basil and dill . Basil will attract the snails and slugs and dill will keep away the spiders. When I see your tomatoes, you should grow your Cannabis on the same way ... as the same way .... don't think it needs more of this and more of that because it's Cannabis , it's a f*ck*ng weed bro , just plant them and let it grow like you do with your tomatoes 😉

@JUNGLE_B4RNS, I had neglected the tomatoes, watering less etc as they are only subterfuge, it looks like they actually got the correct amount of tlc and my over involved care for the weed has, as you suggest, not been great for them. Definitely trying this next year with all my new knowledge with basil, dill, egg shells and 1/2 strength feed and less watering and not trying too hard . Tks

Moved to bigger pots, holding back on water a bit, It they've definitely picked up, leaves are horizontal now with no droopage.

Use lots and lots of broken egg shells. Slugs and snails are VERY persistent. A top layer of Perlite also works as it has sharp edges (and helps stop gnat flies, so a double-winner). Good luck!

@Grey_man_2074, Lots of growers who use organic soils are fervently anti-flush saying it does no good. If *I* was using a organic soil in a small pot that had very, very good drainage (lots of Perlite, or similar), I would flush. If the soil is quite thick and in a big pot, I would not as I would worry about root-rot. I'm in two minds about flushing within two weeks of pencilled in harvest. I used to like harvesting the plant when pot was dry, so the plant had less water in it and dried faster. Now, I like to slow-dry, so I don't mind if their pot has some water left in it, although drying takes a day or two longer (small potatoes in the grand scheme of things). Thinking about Autumn, when the plants are in the wild and flowering, it is generally a bit soggier than Summer, so I think cannabis plants are used to wet conditions when they near their end.

@ShaggyGrower, hi I think they're nearly done, have I missed the boat to flush or as it's organic soil and feed do I bother? Tks

@Grey_man_2074,that bit of inside egg-shell, the soft bit, make sure that is off and only hard shell remains, or they crawl over the easier soft bit rather than get put off by the sharp bits. Good luck!

Hello dear, i really think you could stop fish-mix. It's only for veg. You can slowly go to 4ml/l bio bloom. Good luck!!

With my autos I use FIM pinching, LST and defoliation (as needed). I’ve tried topping, and HST in the past with good results also, but prefer FIM and LST now. because they cause less stress on the plant. Good luck!

Are the two "real" leaves of the seedlings supposed to curl back over on themselves or is my light too close?
bobo420
bobo420
@Grey_man_2074, they are still little seedlings, they don't need much of anything. You can water until runoff then let the medium dry, it can take a day or it can take more, depending on your other environmental factors (humidity, temperature)

@bobo420, Hi, I think I may have been overwatering, a little bit every day. Should I water every other? The Lights are Amazon 60W Dual Head Full Spectrum (they are quite bright). Ill move the light away a bit to 20cm. I about to ask a grow question on when to transfer to greenhouse
bobo420
bobo420
@Grey_man_2074, no, they are not supposed to do that, what kind of a light do you have? 10cm seems a bit close for any at such young stage. Also it says that you're watering 0.05l per day yet the soil look pretty wet?

@Tepes420, I'm outdoor now in the greenhouse, biobizz schedule suggest fish 1ml, bloom 4ml, grow 4ml. Should I do different? Light is about 16/8 getting to 17/7in about 4 weeks

So much for my covert ops, the healthiest plant has quite distinguished leaves, visible through my corrugated plastic greenhouse windows 😞
Chamalla
Chamalla
@Grey_man_2074, you probably knows this already, but apparently sometimes you'll get a phenotype that doesn't have the mutation. I wouldn't think this strain to be the most stable if its main distinguishing feature is a freak accident. 😂 Just supercrop & hide it behind the other two.

I think the awesome summer is turning my greenhouse into a furnace, hardly any leaves remaining without severe burn. Buds however, bursting green and healthy so not all bad, trichomes still clear so hoping next week to harvest. May not be much though... More pics tomorrow

I’m not sure they’re all the same plant, one has the distinctive 5 fingered leaf, one looks to be a single leaf and the other looks like it may be like ducksfoot I’ve seen before, what y’all think?

Just read 24hrs light for the first 30 days gives a good boost so swapped to that whilst they're still indoors!
