Dec 6, 2020: Amended approximately 55% fresh coco coir with about 30% worm castings,15% perlite and 16 tablespoons/48 teaspoons (9.6 teaspoons per gallon) in a 5 gallon Go Pro squat pot. The pot was thoroughly rinsed to rid salts from the old coco coir used in the pot.
December 6, 2020 at 1:46 am: Dropped Haze XXL by Dinafem into a cup of room temperature tap water.
December 10 @approximately 1pm: Seed to water cup, soil and sprout took about 4.5 days.
Day 1.5/December 11 @1pm: I noticed that germination phase is done and seedling phase has developed cotyledons. Growth of "true leaves" visible. Hello, Veg! Like, "Hello Moto!" :) Inside joke
Day 1.5/December 11 @3pm: 0.75" tall
Dec 12 @1am: Her light schedule was been bumped down to 14 hrs. I have a photoperiod in the tent that needs a few days for harvest. Haze is now under the 1000W Phlizon/245W power draw lighting.
Dec 12 @2:30am: New pot has been amended with approximately 65% fresh coco coir, about 20% worm castings,15% perlite and 17 tablespoons/51 teaspoons (12.75 teaspoons per gallon) in a 4 gallon pot. The pot will be thoroughly rinsed to rid salts from the old coco coir used in the pot.
Dec 12 @6pm: Approximately 1" tall
Dec 12: I think my dog got ahold of one of her cotyledons, unless it just disappeared. :)
Dec 14 @2am: Transplanted to the newly amended pot. I watered her and the fresh coco coir mix she was transplanted into.
Dec 14 @11:30pm: Her lighting went from 14 hrs to 24 with both veg and bloom lights on. (Photoperiod in tent harvested)
Dec 23 @ 10:30pm: Mixed 2 drops of Schultz All Purpose 10-15-10 into 1L of dechlorinated tap water. PH 6.67. I was in the process of making body cream while watering my plants. I used the cream spoon to stir the water vigorously. It had shea butter and coconut oil on it, with a tad of rose hip seed, jojoba and tea tree oil with zinc. Half went to Amnesia and the other half to Haze. 1/2L each
Dec 24: She has grown a lot today/day 13-14 from sprout.
At the beginning of this week I was watering 0.25L. Near the end 0.5L. PH 6.72-6.5.
Dec 26/Day 16.25 @5pm: LST begins and at 8pm 1 top leaf defoliated for light penetration.
Dec 26 @10pm: Turned bloom lights off (cobs) and left veg lights on. Lowered lighting to 12". Broke her main stalk and taped it. EEEE Giving her a short break from the heat and time to stretch while I LST her. Her humidity levels are up around 54-60% with cobs off and humidifier running.
Dec 27/Day 17 @4:20pm: Both cob and veg lights are on again and the light hangs 12" above.
Dec 27 @9:30pm: Watered her with 2.5L at a PH of 6.56, soaking the whole pot through for the first time. PH runoff was 6.71
This week, I started watering daily with 0.4L and by week end about 0.75L at PH 6.6-6.7
Day 28/Jan 7: Fed (50/50) 10 tablespoons/2 tablespoons per gallon of Organic Gaia Green All Purpose 4-4-4 and 10 tablespoons of Organic Gaia Green Bloom 2-8-4. I also added 2 drops of All-Purpose Liquid Schultz 10-15-10 to her dechlorinated water at PH 6.7. I watered her with 3L. PH will be reduced in about a week, down to 6.65 and 6.5. After her topsoil amendment PH is a bit warmer and runoff was around PH 7.12. LST and defoliation of larger fan leaves.
Jan 28/Day 29: Flushed with 6L of water PH 6.5. Noticed that some tips of leaves are showing what I consider to be salt build up in my coco coir. Main colas are is 15" ...including slight LST. I had to lay off the LST on the main colas due to me snapping the stalk a few weeks back.
She seems to be great. Wondering if she had salt build up due to not running to overflow for a few waters. I now water with approximately 4L every 2 days. I flushed her out again, using about 6L twice. Feeding time is soon. A nice flushing sounds good. I also wonder if the humidifier is putting out metal and or mineral deposits. Possibly her PH was off, even though I measure. I just recalibrated and my meter seemed to be fine before and after. She has some yellowing of the tips. It was something I did, for sure. Her genetics seem strong and bulky. She'll be fine. :)
I'm impressed, once again! This is my third grow of Dinafem's Haze XXL. Two I journaled here on growdiaries. My experience has been that she is a highly resistant strain within the right grow environments, and offers a decent return on yields. Bud hits mind and body with a punch of energetic! No couch lock sedation. I like the racy feeling, in small doses. A little goes a long way. Thanks, Dinafem!
