๐This was fun plant to grow. One seed, one sprout, one plant. Short and sturdy the plant produced a few good big buds. The aroma at harvest was typical ripe cannabis, sweet and stanky that could be smelled outdoors all around the house when the wind was calm. Lots and lots of sweet sticky frost...all the sugar leaves were thickly covered and the frostiness extended onto the branches. The Buds were plump, solid and pine cone shaped. Lots of sugar leaves and lots of pistols that turned a nice burnt orange color at the end. Was slow to ripen to the target of an even mix of cloudy and amber trichomes on most of the plant. The trichomes ripened at a faster pace the last week of the grow.
๐At harvest I performed a close wet trim. The large number of frosty sugar leaves made this task take a long time. It was the stickiest plant Ive trimmed yet. I had lots of frosty trim to sift thru my trim tray. I ended up with a lot of kief hash that I pressed into pucks. The aroma of the trimming filled the whole house and the entire back yard with a fun sweet stank. I kept the rooms exhaust fan running on high till the buds went into the jars. I made a conscious effort to dry the buds as slow as possible. Even though the buds are dense and fat I had no botrytis.
๐The typical window for cured enough is 6 weeks. This review is done at 8 1/2 weeks from harvest. At 6 weeks the flavor was pretty bland, but delivered a nice creeping heavy buzz. I would test the queen cola and one other mid level colas. The queen cola is very fat and the mid level cola is half its size. The smaller cola started developing a sweet candy taste at week 7 and the queen has made significant improvement. I know that as time goes on this slow cure will be to my benefit. The buzz is not bland though...its very strong. Slow and creaping, time flys by as I zone out and get into some playoff hockey or surf the internet. A great night time buzz and makes falling asleep in the chair way too easy.
