👉This was fun plant to grow. One seed, one sprout, one plant. Short and sturdy the plant produced a few good big buds. The aroma at harvest was typical ripe cannabis, sweet and stanky that could be smelled outdoors all around the house when the wind was calm. Lots and lots of sweet sticky frost...all the sugar leaves were thickly covered and the frostiness extended onto the branches. The Buds were plump, solid and pine cone shaped. Lots of sugar leaves and lots of pistols that turned a nice burnt orange color at the end. Was slow to ripen to the target of an even mix of cloudy and amber trichomes on most of the plant. The trichomes ripened at a faster pace the last week of the grow. 👉At harvest I performed a close wet trim. The large number of frosty sugar leaves made this task take a long time. It was the stickiest plant Ive trimmed yet. I had lots of frosty trim to sift thru my trim tray. I ended up with a lot of kief hash that I pressed into pucks. The aroma of the trimming filled the whole house and the entire back yard with a fun sweet stank. I kept the rooms exhaust fan running on high till the buds went into the jars. I made a conscious effort to dry the buds as slow as possible. Even though the buds are dense and fat I had no botrytis. 👉The typical window for cured enough is 6 weeks. This review is done at 8 1/2 weeks from harvest. At 6 weeks the flavor was pretty bland, but delivered a nice creeping heavy buzz. I would test the queen cola and one other mid level colas. The queen cola is very fat and the mid level cola is half its size. The smaller cola started developing a sweet candy taste at week 7 and the queen has made significant improvement. I know that as time goes on this slow cure will be to my benefit. The buzz is not bland though...its very strong. Slow and creaping, time flys by as I zone out and get into some playoff hockey or surf the internet. A great night time buzz and makes falling asleep in the chair way too easy.

👉This plant probably wasnt the typical plant that this strain can produce. The plant is supposed to be an XL and it stopped stretching at 19". It was a solid dome of leaves and flowers. Solid trunk and sturdy branches that didnt need any help supporting solid, plump, pine cone shaped buds. It was very leafy. While the plants over-all size wasnt XL, the buds definitely are. I hate trimming green leaves, but this plant had so many leaves I took handfuls of them from the plant weekly towards the end. Even though I took more than normal as far as total number of leaves there was still plenty of leaves left at the end. There was also minimal 'larf' on the plant due to selective pruning during first weeks of flower. 👉To harvest I started at the bottom and snipped the lowest branch first and worked my way up the plant with the Queen cola last. I kept the main cola of each branch in-tact, trimmed and weighed each one. Then hung each cola on a numbered clothes pin that corresponded to the colas weight on the weight log. I have a tall oscillating floor fan and ran it at its lowest speed. I would rotate the colas so it would get even drying on each side. The few buds on the dry rack got turned as well. After a day and a half I placed the colas in paper bags with the tops open. then after a day of that I began taking test weights of different colas to determine how much has dried out. I was trying to make the dry take a long as I dared. I put the first colas in jars after 5 days when they were at least down to 25% of the wet weight. All colas were in jar b y day 6. I placed a hygrometer in each jar to monitor the humidity levels and would open the jars for various lengths of time to allow the humidity to escape. The final humidity target was a stable 62% . Again the large buds were the last to meet that mark. The humidity stabilized in the Queen bud jar after about 10 days. I believe this slow dry helped the plant miss the 6 week cure mark. Tasted pretty bland at 6 weeks. But but 8 weeks the flavors started showing improvement. I think it may not be at the equivalent of typical plants 6 week cure till as long as 12 weeks. 👉When I did the close wet trim I did it over a "Trim-Tray". I had to scrape my scissors multiple times and got a nice little ball of scissor hash. The plant was sooo frosty I got a nice ball of pure resin, no green matter. I collected this and formed a small disk with my fingers. I let the trim get bone dry, then ground it with my hands and sifted it over the screen. This produced the most trim kief Ive collected from a plant! 9g of kief pucks! This kief didn't have any of the bland taste the buds did. It was sweet candy from day one. By 6 weeks it was getting sweeter and is superb tasty candy hash! The pure kief and the scissor hash is incredible!

@@FirstCough, I appreciate your kind words. It's really hard to see the full size of the colas because of all the leaves. The buds are getting plump. The Queen cola is going to be a beauty...as long as luck is on my side.

Wow! Your plants are huge 😁 I already chopped mine yesterday, these plants just wanna flower forever it seems. I was finding new herms every day so I decided to end it, even though there was still a lot of new growth. Interested in seeing your results 😎

@FrogLord, Thanks! I think the stress that was causing the hermed calixes was the reluctance of the trichomes to mature to mostly cloudy. What's also odd about this plant is that it didn't start the new calix growth until it's tent mate was harvested...as if it was devastated that it's lifelong partner was killed. 😿 😷

Looking good mate. I love that raised up grill tray tennis balls. I’ve thought about doing the same sort of thing ages ago it’s so simple, I should think it would be quite tricky to remove when it’s bigger for maintenance but well worth a try good luck mate.

@nelly31, Thanks! The tennis balls are to keep the rack from poking holes in the floor of the tent. They also make it easier to slide the plant around. I don't have to remove my plant from the tent, but if I did the rack also would make it easier to pick up.
