Well, 6 weeks out and time to ready for the next grow. Love this strain. A huge producer and a real treat to grow.
Took 4 clones, to be safe, but only two will do. Better safe than sorry.
Update 12/11 - Opening up the dome in tiny daily increments to harden the clones. So far, so good. Girls are doing well and leaving them alone. New pic added.
Went 4 for 4 on the clones rooting. Transplanted 3 (2 for the grow, 1 donor) and added DYNOMYCO Premium Mycorrhizalto the growing medium and directly to the roots. Excited to see how they react.
Added B-52 stalk strengthener and Fish Shit to help stimulate root growth.
More photos and updates in a few days.
Clones are doing great. Starting to look like little plants already. Still have 3 weeks to go before they can be transplanted in the grow room.
Hopefully topping them soon.
With about 3 weeks left on the last grow, these girls are just chomping at the bit. Going to top them this week so moved them into their own cabinet to fill out.
Decided to keep them in the solo cups as I don’t want too stress em out.
These girls are a little on the small side which is fine because they stretch like mad.
Going to up the nutrients this week, see how it goes.
Well, a few days earlier than expected but yesterday was moving day. The last grow finished on Sunday so after harvesting 7 plants, put the girls in their new homes.
Used Pro Mix BX growing medium with mycorrhizae and a weak solution of nutrients with added B vitamins and fish shit. Raised the lights to 36” so that the plants focus on root development for the first week.
My goal this grow is to stay in vegetation stage for about 4 weeks and then flip to flowering. Past experience with both these strains shows they perform better smaller. Also, plants are 6 weeks old so they are technically mature. I found that 6 weeks gives me time to adjust should clones fail or issues arise. Having a separate clone box helps develop the plants ahead of transplantation in the grow room and drops my total grow cycle by 4 weeks, allowing me to have 4 grows per year versus 3.
Win Win!
Checked on the plants later today and all looks good in the hood. Let the growing begin.
Update-transplanted the donor plants to larger pots. Everyone looks good and seem to be adjusting well.
Well, end of week 3 in the grow room, and ready to switch to flowering. Trimmed up the plants up to 4 nodes per branch and changing schedule on Sunday evening.
Pics are before and afterwards of trimming.
Went to town this week on the defoliation. Pics are before and afterwards and a group photo. Really nice to open up the plant and clean out the scraggly bits.
Just a few more weeks.
@Warhead, If it’s taste you’re after, then you’ll be slightly disappointed...don’t get me wrong, nice earthy taste and a wicked stone, I really like it, but not for the taste.
