Week 3 Day 14- OG Kush Added first fox farm nutrients. Week 3 Day 15- OG Kush Brown spotting on leaves could potentially be caused from misting. I will continue to mist but will change the time to early hours in the morning, 20 mins before the lights come on. Hopefully this will resolve the issue. Other potential causes could be from a Magnesium or Phosphate deficiency. Week 3 Day 16- OG Kush Watered with regular 6.3ph water. Week 3 Day 17- OG Kush Noticed last night that one of the OG plants is growing slowly. Checked soil moisture levels and it could be caused from over watering. I have cutout watering for 24 hours to see if this helps at all. I will follow up this evening and give them another nutrient feeding if the soil has dried. Week 3 Day 18- OG Kush The plants are coming along nicely. Today I added a feeding of Fox Farm Big Bloom, Fox Farm Grow Big, Maxicrop Liquid seaweed and Botanicare Cal-Mag. The lower fan leaves have sprouted and are roughly 2in wide. Transplanted them into 5gal smart pots today. Hopefully this will lower the soil temp and help the plants drain better.

Having an issue where the leaves are spotting Brown. I’m adding cal-mag and am not having this issue on any other plants except for this one. I thought it could be from misting the air with a spray but stopped that for a while and it is still continuing.

That’s a lot of nutes for plants that age even for coco. What your seeing is calcium deficiency but most likely because it’s being blocked by the additional phosphate and potassium that is being added to your solution. Cut back on all of the nutes and you’ll see this issue stop progressing

Alright guys! I’m starting to get excited and there is definatly a learning curve. I think I may have developed som neutrient burn on some of the lower older leaves. It starts at the top and works it’s way inward to the center of the leaf in spots. I was planning on flushing out the coco coir with plain RO water for the next 48 hours and then reintroduce nutrients at half the dose I have been giving it. It has only appeared on the one plant and has been consistent with the one plant for a full week now. I have ordered a second 600w equivalent VIPARSPECTRA LED light. I believe this should be enough for my 4x4 grow area and produce a bigger yield. I’m hoping in the next 2 weeks I will be able to switch it into flower. Any tips and advice are always welcome! Please leave a like and thank you guys for all your help!

So there has been an amazing amount of progress this week and there is a lot of things that are going on right now. Firstly I have made an addition to the tent and have introduced a second collapsed sun to the tent today. I know have 2 600w VIPARSPECTRA lights in my 4x4 area. Also there has been a significant amount of growth this week and I have seen on average about an inch of growth per day. I was finally able to diagnose this issue I was having with a few leaves and it turned out to be nute burn so I cut the nutrients in half. This seems to have resolved the issue. Now I have noticed a couple of splotches of green algae growth which I’m not overly concerned about and have been able to maintain keeping it at bay for a while now. I’m thinking I’m gonna end using the liquid seaweed for the rest of the grow. I do have an issue coming up on Thursday where I have an apartment inspection but thankfully it is during the veg stage and should be able to package each plant into a box until it is over. I’m thinking it’s going to be at least 3-5 hours of no light or little light but this should not be an issue. I have officially decided that week 6 will be my last week of veg and am switching to flower for week 7. Thank you guys for following along and for all your support! I look forward to these upcoming weeks!

So this has been a great learning experience so far. I have had a few issues of nute burn durning the cycle of this grow. Everything appears to be going well now that I cut the nutes in half and I have lady bugs to stop any soft bodied insects that may find their way into the tent. I switched the light cycle to 12-12 so officially begins the flowering cycle. Will be purchasing a dehumidifier to get the humidity down this week.

So my Og hasn’t shown signs of sex yet but the Blue dream has come in with its pre flowers and it looks as though it may be male. We will give it another week to be sure. There has been a lot of learning curves that I have had to walk through while growing but it has been an excellent experience. Hopefully I do get some females out of these batches. If not now worry I will start up again this summer with some feminized seeds. ***UPDATE*** 5/3/2018 2 of the 3 OG kush has popped up with its female white pistils! The other one is taking a similar shape. So out of the 5 plants in total including my Blue dream from the other diary I am expecting to have 2 female plants. I am glad I took on this experience but feel as though for my next grow I will stick to feminized seeds. Thank you and the community for all your help!

Well where to start. Firstly I have to say it has been a lot of fun growing these guys out of all of them it looks like I’m only ending up with one female and the other is either a male or a herm. It has both little balls and banana looking sprouts. Debating on weather or not if it is herm if I should let them breed to make some feminized seeds. They are getting pretty big I think they will finish stretching right at around 3 ft maybe a little bit more. I’m gonna defoliate some of the leaves in the morning. The female should start producing some buds soon. The white pistils are very distinct now. Will update if there are any changes this week.

Had a small issue with some gnats appearing this week. Used 1tsp of Gnatrol to eliminate any larva and sticky pads to capture the adults. Seems to keep it under control now. Buds are starting to come in now. It is definatly a little bit stronger of a smell than it has been but not that all out pungent smell I’m use to yet. I’m expecting that to come in later on in week 10. Root system is healthy although I think next time I’m gonna use 7gal smart fabric pots. Took some clones last week in an effort to save the project and get some more plants going. Hopefully they will resort efforts back to veg and take root. I know I took them a little late but was not prepared the weeks before to take on some clones. It’s looking like I can expect to get a final harvest between June 28 - July 12. I finally was able to get the humidity down to a respectable 50%. It does fluctuate between 43% and 63% but has been hanging firmly around 50%. Will update if there are any changes.

Did some defoliation this week to get mor light through to the rest of the plant. It’s looking pretty healthy with the exception of a couple of cal-mag related issues. I flushed the pot with the sledgehammer solution because I believe I was getting some nutrient lock. I’m going to water with a half dose of the nutrients I have been using and work my way back up from there. The smell is becoming a little bit more noticeable now. As you can tell from one of the photos I have had a small gnat issue. I have been using Gnatrol to remove the pesky little gnat larva that may have been bred into the coco but haven’t noticed any as of yet. I also topped the coco with some diatomaceous earth to help deter the gnats from breeding there. I hoping to see some bud formation this next upcoming week. Any suggestions are welcomed!

I live in the US also and have never had any issues with any of my seed orders. I’ve ordered seeds from a variety of European distributors and they all arrived successfully. My current favorite seed distributor is Seedsman. Tons of variety, great prices, lots of freebies, and discrete shipping. Usually takes about 10 days for my order to arrive here on the east coast. Good luck with GYO!

Have had a severe calcium deficiency. Have cut back other nutrients with the idea that they may be blocking out the calcium. Also flushed the plant with Phd water at about 6.3-6.4 ph. This was an attempt to bring the coco up to 6.3 from where it was at 5.9 to try and better absorb the calcium. It’s starting to affect the sugar leaves and I would like to get it to stop before it ruins the trichomes. Any suggestions will be appreciated!

We’re getting close to the end now. The pistils are starting to change. I would say they are at about 5% red now. Excited for the upcoming weeks. Will most likely start the flush after next weeks post. Have some seeds on order for the next grow. Going to be doing Northern lights, white widow and special kush #1. Thanks again to every one on here for all there support. I have made plenty of mistakes this grow as it is my first time using coco. Will experiment with coco again in the future but next grow is going to be in soil.

I’m thinking I have about a week left before flushing. I have been facing a lot of nutrient issues with this grow but it has still turned out fairly well. Looking forward to my next grow, I think I’m gonna stick to soil as growing in coco has been pretty difficult for me. It’s been quite a learning curve but I may try it again in the near future.

So the majority of the pistils have turned red. The trichomes have turned cloudy but I’m not seeing any swelling in the calyxes. Also I’m seeing some foxtailing going on with new white pistils developing on the top. Is it ready for harvest?
