Germination
I started with soaking the seeds in distilled water in shot glasses for 24 hours. I then put them into jiffy peat pellets. I kept them in the tent where the temp was 27c to 29c but I may have over soaked the jiffys. In order to get rid of some of the moisture, I have placed the pellets into their final pots hoping the dry soil will wick away the moisture. Edit: lost the 3Bog and first Pinot in the jiffys due to too much moisture. Germed another Pinot in paper towel and it popped within 24hrs. Planted it directed into final pot. Using Fox Farms Ocean Forest as is.

The first Pinot Noir and 3BOG seeds I had tried germinating in the pellets were a fail. I believe I may have oversoaked the medium. I ended up germinating another Pinot Noir seed in paper towel this time and planted it once the tap root was about an inch long. The MBAPX3BOG ended up with its tap root growing out of the top of medium so I had to conduct a minor operation with tweezers to flip it around. Pinot is looking good right now about I'm a bit worried with the way the MBAP X 3BOG is looking. Light is at about 31" high. Day 1 had it at 25% but dialed it up to 50% and canopy is getting about 9,100 lux with my phone.

Pinot Noir had a bit of growth this week, although still slower than what I've seen in other journals. Leaves are looking like they are lightening a bit so not sure if Cal-Mag or too much light. Light is at about 55% and 30" from canopy giving about 9,800 lux. Watered thoroughly on day 6 with Cal-mag and have been misting since then as the pots still feel heavy and soil is still quite moist a knuckle down from the top. Haven't watered at all for week 2 other than light misting. Thinking I may have over watered since pot had some weight to it all week. I also germinated another 3BOG seed and will replace the MBAPX3BOG I will be pulling.

It's day 10 and the first set of leaves are starting to lighten in colour. Is this related to Cal-mag, bleaching from light, or possibly nitrogen? Using FFOF with PH'd tap water adding Cal mag. Mars Ts1000 at 30" on 55%.

Brown tips are nutrition burn. The plant needs nothing but ph water for first 10 to 14 days. It has stored energy to grow. Plus make sure your ph in soil stay in range with having proper run off and testing the ph of that. Good luck and happy growing

Pot was quite heavy for many days and finally watered around the perimeter on day 17 with plain PH'd water after about 7-8 days. Have a cool mist humidifier in the tent giving constant RH of 60-70% for the last week now. Growth seems quite slow for its 3rd week now compared to other journals I've been following. I'm afraid I may have stunted it...

What am I doing wrong here? End of week three and she's still so small. These genetics should be going into preflower based on other grows. Didn't use any nutes except first watering with Cal-mag. Just PH'd water and ffof. I want to correct before starting again. Any help?

After 3 weeks, you should be using some nitrogen. Most common issues that lead to this type of stunted growth is overwatering and light distance. Overwatering slows root growth as they don't receive the oxygen they need. This will slow overall growth. Too much light can stress her and instead of stretching like they do with too little light, they stop upwards growth to avoid being burned. Almost guaranteed you are suffering the consequences of one or both of these issues. If you need more info on light distance and where you should be, shoot me a message.
