SET UP - EQUIPMENT: 60x60x200cm Tent 450w Viper Spectra Led 12L Fabric pot Canna Coco Pro 4in Black Orchid extracter fan 4in Black orchid Carbon filter NUTRIENTS: Green Planet Nutrients - MEDI ONE Green Planet Nutrients - LIQUID WEIGHT Advanced Nutrients - BUD CANDY CANNA - FLUSH DAY 1: 2/4/18 Ph water 5.8 Seed in water at 16:25pm Seed went to bottom after 1 push at 23:00 6hrs 35min taken till seed went to bottom. Temp maintained at 20'c - 25'c I put a plate over a bowl with boiled water in it to keep temps up. I changed water every 2-3hrs. DAY 2: 3/4/18 Water in bowl went unchanged for about 8hrs due to sleep, temp dropped to 18'c. I then used hot tap water in the bowl and then put the glass with seed inside to bring temps back up to around 20'c to 25'c. Water changed every 2-3hrs. Seed Tap root has popped put a little at 16:25 Going for 28hr-30hr soak, I will remove tonight at around 20:00 then paper towel method to finish germ, if tap root is not established enough. 20:00 - seed has been removed from glass of water and put into a damp paper towel inside of a container which i misted on the inside lid for humidity and then put the container into another container filled with hot water to keep temps up. (Change water every 2-3hr, depending on temp reading) Container placed in cuboard for darkness. DAY 3: 4/4/18 14:00: Seed has now been planted 1/2inch down in Canna Coco Pro. Light is 43in away Veg light only. Watering via spray bottle only. I did not pre water coco before planted, I water sprayed after and will spray maybe 2-4 times a day. DAY 4: 5/4/18 23:00 - seed still not broken soil, hopefully it will soon DAY 5: 6/4/18 10am - 44hrs after planting germ seed. It has broken soil :). Very little watering so far, but multiple times per day every 3-5 hrs. Temps 20-23'c. Humidity - 60-70% just for now. DAY 6: 7/4/18 10am - 68hrs after planting seed. Day 2 since sprout out of soil. It is making some growth in height and beginning to try and shake off that shell :). I give a little watering every 4-5hrs gently around the stem and then towards the edges of pot, 300 ml approx. In between the 4-5hr period I will be misting if coco is seeming a little dry and humidity is a little lower than 65-70%. Temps are Temps 20-23'c. Humidity - 60-70% consistently I am using 2 hot water bottles wrapped in foil to keep temps up, I refill them every 5-7hrs. 2pm - 72 hrs after planting seed. Day 2 since sprout out of soil. It has now opened up :). 2 cm in height. DAY 7: 8/04/18 10am - 4th day after planting seed - Day 3 since sprout out of soil. Grew a 1 cm in height, now he is sitting at 3 cm 2pm - 3rd day since it sprouted and he is changing every 24hrs :) looking good so far and opened nicely shedding the seed in the process :). WEEK ROUND UP: From the day the seed sprouted from soil (6/4/18) I have been watering (PH 5.8) every 4-5 hrs (10am, 3pm, 8pm & midnight), I then don't water until 9/10am the next day. I have been giving around 300 ml each watering. Gently watering around the stem ( not too close) and then towards the edges of the pot. Temps have been maintained between 20-23'c day & night. I put 2 hot water bottles wrapped in foil in the tent and they have worked great, I changed the water every time I watered (every 4-5 hrs). Lights have been on 24/7, veg switch only and was 40 inches away from top of plant, today (8/4/18), I have lowered light to 37 inches away from top of plant. Humidity has been 60-65% in tent and probably a little higher inside my little humidity dome which I misted multiple times a day when it dried out. I stopped using humidity dome today 8/04/18. I will begin to introduce nutrients at the end of next week, when this little guy is 1 week old. That is the end if my first week.

WEEK 2 ****DAY 8: 9/4/18**** I have adjusted the distance between the top of the plant and light to 33 inches. I will be introducing nutrients from this week, as it is nearly 1 week since this little guy sprouted. Nutrients will be at at 1/4 strength then I will work up to 1/2 strength by next week. I will be using Green Planets - Medi one, Liquid Weight, Massive & Finisher, I will be nutrient feeding every other day with just plain PH 5.8 watering in between. Around 4 cm in height right now. Watering - 10am, 3pm, 8pm & midnight, 250 - 300 ml Temps - 20'c - 24'c Humidity - 60% - 70% ****DAY 9: 10/4/18**** 10pm - I have lowered lights again to 31 inches away from top of plant. ****DAY 10: 11/4/18**** My watering schedule is now ONCE a day at 10am for the next few days, I will do a Nutrient feed every other day. 10am- 1st nutrient feeding of MEDI ONE on its own at 0.6ml in 500ml of water ph 5.8 ****DAY 11: 12/4/18**** I will now be watering 1 Litre of water ONCE per day at 10am for the rest of this week. 10AM- 1 LITRE of Plain PH 5.8 water. Temps 20-23'c Humidity - 60-65% 10PM - Now because I am watering just once a day and I have put 4 cheap disposable dehumidifiers and 1 Unibond dehumidifier in the tent it has brought the humidity down to 50-58%, very cheap method of mine to get the humidity down a little and they don't take up much space. ****DAY 12: 13/04/18**** 10AM - NUTRIENT FEED: 1.2ML OF MEDI ONE & 0.6ML OF LIQUID WEIGHT in 1 litre of water, ph 5.8 Today I have LOWERED the LIGHTS to 28 inches away from the top of the plant. Temps 20 - 23'c Humidity 50 - 58% ****DAY 13: 14/4/18**** 10AM - PLAIN PH 5.8 WATER - 1 LITRE ****DAY 14: 15/4/18**** 10AM - NUTRIENT FEED - MEDI ONE 1.2ML & LIQUID WEIGHT 0.6ML - 1 LITRE OF PH 5.8 WATER *****************END OF WEEK ROUND UP*************** I have started the nutrient feeding this week and the she is liking it, there has been a lot of growth since starting nutrients. This week I changed my watering schedule because I believe that I may have been watering a little too frequently and this was making the humidity in the tent rise up to 74%, I now water ONCE a day in the morning at 10AM and I have also added a cheap UNIBOND Dehumidifier and 4 small disposable dehumidifiers, by doing this my levels are now around 50 - 55%. Next week I will be taking the MEDI ONE dosage up from 1.2ml p/litre to 1.5ml p/litre and by the end of next week I hope to have the dosage at 2ml p/litre. The Liquid weight dosage will remain the same for now.

I have also increased the amount of LIQUID WEIGHT from 0.6ml to 1ml p/litre. 10AM - NUTRIENT FEED - MEDI ONE 3ml & LIQUID WEIGHT 1ml - 1 LITRE WATER - PH 5.8 ****DAY 21: 22/4/18**** 10AM - - 1 LITRE OF PLAIN PH 5.8 WATER ****END OF WEEK ROUND UP**** There has been a significant amount of growth this week and she is liking her nutrients. This week I increased the amount of nutrients she was getting. Because I am feeding with 100% organic nutrients I can afford to increase the amount a little over 1/2.

WEEK 4 Week 4 is here and it is Monday (23/4) morning, this week I will increase MEDI ONE to 4 ml per litre and will be keeping LIQUID WEIGHT at 1 ml per litre. I will also start to give 0.5 ml of Liquid weight in between the main feeds. ****DAY 22: 23/4/18**** 10AM - NUTRIENT FEED - MEDI ONE 4 ml & LIQUID WEIGHT 1 ml - 1 LITRE WATER - PH 5.8 ****DAY 23: 24/4/18**** 10AM - LIQUID WEIGHT 0.5 ml & 1 LITRE WATER - PH 5.8 I have noticed a lighter shade of green on the tips of a few leaves, I believe that this may be due to the LED light being too strong because all of the lower leaves that were in the shade were completely fine. I have raised the light to 31 inches away. She has had 1 or 2 lighter tips since she was very young before I gave any nutrients and the fact I am using 100% Organic nutrients I believe it is the light not nutrient burn, but I have decided to play it safe and ease off the nutrient amount. I will remain on a FEED - WATER - FEED schedule and will decrease the MEDI ONE amount to 2.5 ml per litre next feed and see how things go. Liquid weight will remain the same. ****DAY 24: 25/4/18**** Today I started the Low stress training and it went very well, no snaps or breaks :). I am looking forward to how she responds to it. There has been no change to the leaves with the lighter shade of green, so that is a positive. 10AM - NUTRIENT FEED - MEDI ONE 2.5 ml & LIQUID WEIGHT 1 ml - 1 Litre of PH 5.8 Water ****DAY 25: 26/4/18**** 10AM - 1 LITRE OF PLAIN PH 5.8 WATER ****DAY 26: 27/4/18**** 10AM - NUTRIENT FEED - MEDI ONE 2.5 ml & LIQUID WEIGHT 1 ml - 1 Litre of PH 5.8 Water ****DAY 27: 28/4/18**** 10AM - 1 LITRE OF PLAIN PH 5.8 WATER ****DAY 28: 28/4/18**** Today I have noticed some lime green/yellow tips of the new growth despite nutrients being decreased to 2.5 ml per litre so I have decided to give another plain watering today. 4PM - 1 LITRE OF PLAIN PH 5.8 WATER

Some of the tips of my plants leaves are a lighter shade of green than the rest of the leaf, what could this be?. I have raised light back up a few inches from 27 in to 30 inches in case it is light bleaching.

Hi, I can see what you're talking about, its only ever so slightly. Looks like the start of nutrient burn, best way to combat the problem is to feed your plants plain pH'd water for the next feed or two. Should see her new growth coming out healthier and greener if sorted early on. Hope this helps.

WEEK 5 ****DAY 29: 30/4/18**** Last week Tuesday I noticed some lime green tips on a few of the top leaf tips, I was thinking it was either nutrient burn or light stress/burn so I decreased the nutrients back down to 2.5 ml per litre instead of 4 ml per litre and raised the lights back up a few inches, but despite doing this I noticed towards the end of last week that there were a few lime green/ yellow tips on the new growth now, so now my guess is that it is in fact nutrient burn and I was not checking my PPM, I have hard water where I am so that was my mistake to not check, I was giving around 1000 PPM with out knowing. So for the last 2 days I have given 1 litre of plain pH 5.8 water per day only and will be dropping the nutrients back down to 1 ml per litre for MEDI ONE and 0.6 ml of Liquid Weight and that will bring my PPM down to around 400 - 500 PPM. As for today (Monday 30th April) I will not be giving any water, because I have also noticed a slight sulphur/ egg like smell from the bottom of the fabric pot I am using, so I have decided to ease off the frequency of the watering to allow the pot to dry out a little and allow more oxygen for the roots. I have also put the pot on top of a spare oven rack I had to raise it a little off the surface to allow air circulation around the whole pot. ****DAY 30: 1/5/18**** 10AM - PLAIN pH 5.8 Water - 1 LITRE I started to notice an egg like smell from the bottom of the pot and run off water, since then I raised the pot a little off the floor on an oven rack and let coco dry out a bit by not watering for 48 hrs and this has helped very well, the smell is now gone. ****DAY 31: 2/5/18**** 10AM - 500 ml of plain pH 5.8 water I have done some more LST today. Nutrient feed will be tomorrow as the last 3 watering's have been plain. The amount given will be 1 ml of MEDI ONE & 0.6 ml of Liquid Weight. People recommend to feed nutrients every watering when using coco so from next week I will start to do this and keep an eye on my PPM. ****DAY 32: 3/5/18**** 10AM - NUTRIENT FEED - 1 ml of MEDI ONE & 0.6 ml of Liquid Weight - pH 5.8 - 1 LITRE - 400 - 450 PPM ****DAY 33: 4/5/18**** 10AM - 500 ml of plain pH 5.8 water Since I brought my PPM down the new growth is looking really healthy with no yellow tips. My tap water is hard so when I added nutrients it sent my PPM way over the recommended amount for my young plant. ****DAY 34: 5/5/18**** 10AM - NUTRIENT FEED - MEDI ONE 1 ML & LIQUID WEIGHT 0.6 ML - 1 LITRE OF pH 5.8 WATER She has about 15 bud potential bud sites now. New growth is healthy and green. ****DAY 35: 6/5/18**** 10AM - NUTRIENT FEED - MEDI ONE 0.5 ML & LIQUID WEIGHT 0.3 ML - 500 ML OF pH 5.8 WATER ****WEEK ROUND UP*** This week I learned a few things about PPM and how it is important to track it through the grow, it is the answer to why I ended up giving my plants nutrient burn, I now have purchased a TDS meter and will be tracking PPM from now on. From next week I will be giving nutrients with every watering and see how things go, it has been recommended to do so by fellow growers, just keep an eye on PPM, I will be giving my normal dose of nutes for 1 feed and then 1/2 dose the next feed e.g Mon - 1ml - Tue - .5 ml - Wed - 1 ml etc.

At first she was really strong knock out smoke and did not give me energy and taste was harsh, but after 3/4 weeks of cure, she tastes great, and the high is more uplifting now. First ever grow, there were a few mistakes but I will learn from them and most importantly track my PPM. I will grow this strain again and will try to not get the foxtails n Nute burn, but none the less the strain taste great and yeilding a decent weight.

I don’t see it in any of the pics, but burnt tips is typically an indication of nutrient burn. You might want to consider backing down a little on your nutrient levels.

@DudeGrowsWeed thanks for the response. I just put up a close up pic. I also thought it could be nute burn but when I looked back through pics I could see that even before I added nutes there was a lighter shade of green on 1 or 2 leaves. It is only on new growth leaves on the highest points. I will ease off the nutes a little and see what happens.

@Al_Green, I think thats super mild nutrient burn. Light burn typically causes the tips to curl up and the leaves overall to start taking a taco'ish shape (edges curling). But if you're worried about light burn you could also try raising the light a few inches. Good luck!
