I dive into Week 5 were its getting interesting. Its my first grow but Ive seen some ... and the Aurora is leafy. Welcome to the jungle.
I ran into Mag deficiency in Week 4.
Defoliated at the beginning of the week quite a lot just to see the other leafes gain size like crazy. This is truly a leafy strain ... at the end of the week it looks like I never defoliated.
The last two/three days of the week the plants finally started to bloom and the hair increased a lot. Until now I was unsure about doing something wrong as the temperatrue is always quite low.
In the nighttime the temperatur goes down to a peak of 17 degrees (Heating switches off between 10pm and 6 am) but when the light starts temperatur is back at 19-20 degrees and the last 1-2 degrees come from the light.
Ive read that the temperature is okay, but on my mind MJ would prefer it to be warmer ...
Hard Week. Cause of XMas and not Santa coming to town - but relatives - I had to change my growing location.
New room is good to store food but not for growing, only around 10 degrees, it is only heated passively.
But no things done halfway. Drilled two holes hidden behind a cabinet, the old vent I got given with the tend is pushing air in and a new bigger silent vent is pulling out. Both silenced down with voltage regulator, silencers and a filter for the smell. I will probably not get well in the near future, so the effort is worth it.
Temperature in the new room is 16-17 at nigth and around 18 during daytime getting pre warmed up air from a heated room. With light and Vent pushing down Air 19-19,5. I already purchased a big heating mat with enough power, hope it will come soon before losing to much weight.
Hairs are growing, but slowly in my opinion and some of the leaves are showing deficiencies. In my believe they dont drink enough and therefore they dont get enough food. Streching nearly stoped this week, the one on the right streched the most and it still grows a little bit day by day. It doesnt look that bad on photo but all the other plants are on top of 10cm pots and this one is still the biggest by far.
Mid of the week the heating mat arrived. The plants were looking better immediately.
Humidity also went down with the higher temp so mold shouldnt be an issue.
But all of the plants look like a week or two backward 😒 Hope I didnt lose to much cause of to low temp.
Last week i had a little over-fertilization. Therefore less food this week but because the burn is low I don't rinse. I also defoliated on the beginning of the week for the last time.
Everything becomes more and more resinous and I already nibble the popcorn of the smallest plant every day because of insomnia and pain so the result will therefore not be correct.
You can really tell that the effect is getting stronger every day.
End of week I changed from Bloom to Ripen cause I think this are the last two weeks, Nirvana says 9 weeks of flower. As I mentioned before the plants seem to be one week behind, the plan is 2 weeks Ripen, 1 Week water only ...
this week the heads have grown a lot. It looks like the Aurora is more of a late developer - since this is my first grow on my own I thought I was doing something wrong at first, but in my research I also read that about the strain from others.
The smell has changed over and over again. Orange, lemon, classic Skunk, now it's more fruity and fresh. If it stays that way I am not disappointed.
The day before, a few brown hairs, the next day some brown and two days later a lot of brown hair. Plans don't always go the way you want them to.
I rinsed the last day of the week and from now on I only use pH corrected water for a week or little bit longer. 2 of the plants may need a few more days.
Unfortunately, I had a mishap while lifting. Several heads are overbent on one plant ...
For the next round, I have to think about how to do the rinsing nicely without moving anything.
So this is the last week. Dont know why, but the plants mature very quickly.
I dont like it when they are amber and two of them are already very cloudy so it is ... harvest time.
Two of them are showing really nice colours.
Plant is a late developer, but then they are in a hurry.
Got them for free as "Learning Seeds". In my believe a underrated strain, maybe the name isnt fancy enough. I saw that they are totally cheap in my shop.

The seeds were 3 Years Old, all of them opend up.
Easy to grow, very forgiving. I made some mistakes. Too little fertilizer, then too much, too cold, no prob with topping or defoliation. Everything no Prob for this strain.
Growth was nice and dense, after Week 4 they started to gain like crazy so I sent them into flower earlier as planned at 30-35cm.
The first hairs only appeared after about 3 weeks and the heads only grew slowly, from week 6 on they have started.
The first 2 (of 4) I took down after 8 1/2 Weeks of flower, 3/4 cloudy, the first trichomes starting to get amber. The other two need a few more days, maybe I let one get more amber just to test. Endsize is 70-95cm.
Taste is fruity, sweet but also a little bit lemon. Its really a strong one, would say over 20%THC, the popcorn alone that I've been nibbling for some time hits quite good. Starts with a head high, then slowly turns into relaxation and finaly I get tired ...
I didn't cut close to the head because the leaves are so full of sugar and they don't matter much in terms of weight anyway. But for that I have surely already nibbled 10g.
Result is 171g
Because the lamp only has 145W thats:
1,18g/Watt
267g/qm
So I am quite satisfied 💪👌👍
