This is my first grow. I was told these clones were less than a week old from when they were cut. My plan is to do some testing of different training methods and veg times. I'm starting with 2 clones. One will be mainlined for 8 colas and the other will be mainlined for 16 colas. I also plan to take clones off the original 2 plants and mainline one for 8 colas and the other 16 colas and only veg them for 4 weeks. Then I will switch the tent over to 12/12 lighting. Wish me luck. Day 1 - Temp 77 F - Humidity 81% - In clone dome with 4 vents cracked - On heated mat - Lights are 46 inches from plant top at 25% = 195 PPFD - Misted dome and plants - Prepared a mixture of 1 lb of Nature's Living Soil Concentrate and 16 cups of Roots Organics Soil to each of the 5.6 gallon air-pots. Watered with filtered water at 7 pH. This should allow the living soil to start growing. Day 2 - Temp 79 F - Humidity 48% - Leaf Temp 77 F - In clone dome with 4 vents cracked - On heated mat - Misted dome and plants Day 3 - Temp 73 F - Humidity 59% - In clone dome with lid twisted 45 degrees for more ventilation - On heated mat - Misted dome and plants Day 4 - Temp 70 F - Humidity 46% - Leaf Temp 71 F - Watered super soil layer with the filtered water at 7.4 pH - Added 32 cups of Roots Organic Soil to each of the 5.6 gallon air-pots. - Transplanted plants - Lightly watered around base of plants with filtered water at 7.4 pH - Lowered lights to 18 inches at 25% = 305 PPFD Day 5 - Temp 69 F - Humidity 59% - Leaf Temp 72 F - Soil Temp 64 F - Plant Height 5 inches - Added heated mat back under pots Day 6 - Temp 70 F - Humidity 57% - Leaf Temp 72 F - Soil Temp 68 F Day 7 - Temp 74 F - Humidity 41% - Leaf Temp 75 F - Soil Temp 69 F Plant 2 is still droopy but I think it's a overwatering issue. I cut back the humidity in the tent to quickly reduce the soil moisture.

I've treated both clones the same but plant 2 seems droopy. Any thoughts on why? I've attached a picture of both clones to show the difference.

It ended up being droopy from overwatering. When I transplanted them they were still moist but I also watered them in the new soil. I knew the roots were well developed from transplanting and the humidity at the time was pretty close to the correct VPD so the humidity wasn't far off. I ended up letting the moisture drop in the room also just to dry them out faster.

Day 15 - Temp 74 F - Humidity 43% - Leaf Temp 73F - My humidifier finally arrived - Water each plant with 3 cups of water - Topped both plants and tied down the longer branches - Turned up the lights to about 33% which was 445 ppfd at the canopy Day 16 - Temp 72 F - Humidity 62% - Leaf Temp 74F - Tied down more branches Day 17 - Turned lights up to 50% which measured 550 ppfd - Watered each plant with 750mL of water around the drip line Day 19 - Watered each plant with 750mL of water around the drip line Day 21 - Took 6 clones from the 2 plants. I used Rapid Rooters in a dome on a heated pad. As a cloning gel I used a leaf from an aloe plant. - Topped the plants for the second time - Watered each plant with 750mL of water around the drip line Not much left of the plants after I took the clones but everything seems to be doing good.

Day 24 - Turned up exhaust fan to 5 - Watered each plant with 1000mL of water at 6.7 pH around the drip line Day 26 - Watered each plant with 1500mL of water at 6.5 pH around the drip line The clones struggled this week. I think I vented them to much and they dried out. I ended up losing a short clone. It was probably to short to be a clone to begin with. Since then I've closed the vents back up and increased the amount of times I'm misting them per day. They seem to have perked back up now. The plants seemed to have recovered nicely from taking the clones and topping them. In a few days I will top them again. I've noticed the lower fan leaves have cupped up a little. All the rest of the leaves seem healthy so I'm blaming it on those leaves being the ones next to the pruning sites. They probably should have been removed along with the clones.

I killed 4 of the 6 clones which is fine since I only needed two. Looking back at my mistakes. Most of the clones were a little short when they were cut and I let them dry out too much a few times. I've learned I can't make such drastic changes. Lesson learned. Topped plants 1 and 2 again. So each of them have 8 mains now. Plant 1 will get one more topping soon. Transplanted the 2 remaining clones. Stacked Plants 1 and 2 on 5 gallon buckets to keep them closer to the lights so that the clones could be farther from the light for a while. I still had to turn the lights down slightly. Plants 1 and 2 are at 430 ppfd and Plants 3 and 4 are at 275 ppfd.

They all seem to be doing pretty good this week. Plants 1 and 2 started getting a little droopy at the end of the week. Probably just overwatering.

I had a little trouble this week Plants 1 and 2 are still droopy and the fungus gnats seem to be getting worse. I wasn't sure if it was overwatering or not enough nutrients. So I let them dry out for 4 days and noticed it got worse. So it probably was not overwatering. On day 56 I top dressed Plants 1 and 2 with some left over Nature's Living Soil. I used 2 tablespoons each and added 4 cups of Root's Organic soil also since the pots have settled a little. Then I gave all the plants a good watering. Hopefully after a few days they will perk back up. On day 55 I added sticky cards to each pot to keep an eye on how many fungus gnats I have. There was quite a few after just one day but I noticed less in the tent. I read some posts on Nature's Living Soil and another on air-pots. It seems like others have had nutrition problems with Nature's Living Soil if they went longer than a month of vegging, which would explain my issue. The other post about air-pots said fungus gnats love them since they can attack the soil from all sides instead of just the top layer. Apparently if you let the top layer of soil dry out well in normal pots the fungus gnat problem mostly goes away. But when using air-pots the top layer of soil might dry out but they can still get to the moist soil from the bottom or sides.

I topped Plant 3 creating 8 tops this week. Which finishes it up and it looks better than the first ones looked. Practice pays off. I'm still fighting the fungus gnat issue and winning the battle. The numbers on the sticky cards are coming down and I see less in the tent. I switched out the cards after 4 days and I estimated that there was 700-800 total on them. The new cards I have up are catching less. Since the sticky cards showed I had so many I've wrapped paper towel around the the air-pots to give them less access to the soil. I also sprinkled the top and bottom with Diatomaceous Earth. Plants 1 and 2 are now finally recovering. From the brown spots on the bottom leaves I'm guess I have some root damage from the fungus gnats. Plus they are turning yellow and brown. The top leaves are still light green which I'm guessing is coming from vegging them 9 weeks in 5.6 gallon air-pots using Nature's Living Soil. Low nitrogen it think. Next week I'm switching to flower!!!!

The younger plants 3 and 4 are doing great. I'm still fighting the fungus gnats and I've slowed their growth in numbers but I can't shake them. I ordered some nematodes to wipe them out. They should be here mid week. Meanwhile they are suffering from root damage and nutrient deficiencies because of it. I defoliated and switched to 12/12 this week and they are really growing. I was scared I took to many fan leaves but I didn't really notice a deference in them. I also moved the lights to 24" from the canopy so I could crank the lights up. I started at 750 ppfd waited 2 days then put it to 100% bringing the ppfd to 900-950.

The sticky cards seem to have slightly less bugs but it's still bad. I used some of BioLogic's Scanmask Spray but watered it in instead of spraying. Then covered the top of the soil with Roots Organic so the nematodes were not exposed to light very long. Between the 4 pots and a small aloe plant I have in the room they got half the bag which should be 2.5 million nematodes. I plan on using the other half of the bag in two weeks as a follow up treatment. I lowered plants 3 and 4 to even out the canopy. Flowers are starting to pop out!!!

The fungus gnats are getting a little better. To bad they already did a lot of damage. Plants 3 and 4 have now caught up in height with plants 1 and 2 which are a month older. The buds and plants 3 and 4 are way bigger too. Flowers are starting!!! Loving it!! Defoliated at the end of the week.

Fungus gnats are about the same, bad... Gave each plant another dose of the ScanMask nematodes from BioLogic. I covered them with some more Roots Organics soil to protect them from the light.

They seem to be coming along ok. Fungus gnat numbers are decreasing. Topped dressed each plant with 3 tablespoons of Nature's Living Soil on day 95. Hopefully that will green the leaves back up.

I'm down to catching 60-70 fungus every 4 days, so the numbers are still dropping. I checked to see if my how well my microscope attachment for my phone worked. The picture is with no zoom so I can really zoom in if needed but they are looking nice.

Slightly more fungus gnats caught this week but still not as bad as it was. I had to turn the exhaust fan up to the max because the smell is much stronger. My carbon filter isn't doing so great because the humidifier's white residue has plugged it up. I blew it out with a air compressor but I think it's to late. The smell inside the house isn't noticeable but outside you can catch a whiff every once in awhile. Buds are looking good!!!

Plant 3's buds are really bulking up comparted to the rest. They are more square topped buds than the rest that are Christmas tree shaped. I'm keeping an eye on the trichomes. They are looking nice. Harvest is almost here!!!

I harvested on day 126. Dry Weights: Plant 1 - 89 grams Plant 2 - 95 grams Plant 3 - 112 grams Plant 4 - 121 grams Surprisingly between plants 3 and 4 I thought 3 would have weighed the most. Even though the LSTed plant yielded more I will still be mainlining due to the easy of growing and harvesting. Trimming up the big buds was way easier than a bunch of small ones. I think I over dried them a little. I added Bovdea packs to the jars to compensate which rehydrated. I wish I would have waited a bit after the curing started to add the boveda packs. Seems like the bigger buds are still a little moist in the center. Maybe some more curing will help. I thought it would have ended up as a more potent sweet smell but it did fade. Maybe it was how I dried and cured it. I vape and this has a lot of vapor and pretty smooth. Easy to relax with.
