I don’t know by this point... what is the issue? It seems to be getting worse when I don’t add nutes at all when watering. Ph is always from 6.3 to 6.7 no more or less then that leaves just yellowing more and more every day

How far should I put 450w LED veg/bloom switches light away from my seedlings? Shown little to no progress last 2 out of 3 days of growth. Paper towel germination then into pellet placed on top of soil, popped fast. Added soil around pellet today with light spray, no swamp city

I would start with a 30cm distance and increase if plant shows overheating signs. Good air flow is also required. Too far : not efficient, plant will stretch and you won’t get many nodes Too close : burn risk and spectrum may not be diffused correctly

Bottom fan leaves yellowing +more. Pics under week 6. I started adding nutes every 3rd watering in the beginning n now it’s every 2nd watering. Guanokalong soil mixed with perlite and vermiculite 15:5:2. Yellowing didn't progress after feeding. Shoul I be adding nutes more often?

Looking like a nite deficiency, you got some good answers so this is basically just repeating lol but flush good give it about 3x the amount of water you normally do let it cleanse our then wait until the pot is LIGHT like nothings in it then feed. Watch over watering though. No need to water until the pot is super light. Looking good though buddy! Good luck and keep growing! ✊🏻✌️🏻

You seem to have a good nute lineup. Can you maybe flush well to break up any buildup either with plain ph water, or add some sort of flushing agent like bushdoctor sledgehammer(or another variety) I think your yellowing would actually be down to roots or ph problems. The rest of the plants looking great though. Ooh also are you using RO water or tap? I know tap can have some of those micros that the bottled water lacks.

Thank you all for answers 🙌! Didn't expect to get that them in such short period of time. I moved the light up this morning, so instead of 17 inches, it's about 3 ft away now. I also only have veg switch on on my LED for now so it's about half of the power if not less. Will see how my girls gonna respond. I just panicked at the beginning when one of 3 seedlings started growing tall, not wonky tall but just tall, instead of growing first set of leaves. So I moved the lights down right away. Maybe I shocked them a little :x

These plants look very nice! I usually do my LST when the plants are thirsty. The stalks are a lot more pliable. You are in preflower mode. Be careful with your LST at this point. Some strains are very sensitive. You will have to do some research. There is a website I found that just talks about growing strains of auto flower plants. I found it valuable when I was doing research prior to buying a batch of auto seeds.

@Kambi, My girl ended up being at two different levels because I stopped doing LST after I saw pre-flowering. Now I wish I would've spread the canopy out a bit more. She could've handled the stress I'm sure. Whereas a few of these strains are dainty, most will take anything you throw at them.

@Quexos, yeah they took it pretty good haha now I’m thinking if I should play with the one that’s in a transition , because it’s kinda uneven on the height on each side but I’m too spooked
Quexos
Quexos
@Kambi, Yay! No damage! You'd be amazed how much abuse these plants can take. As they start to stretch, you can continue gently training the main stalk. Later on you will need to remove some of the fan leaves so the lower buds can stretch towards the light. You would like to have all of the bud sites be at the same height.

@QualityOrganics1 wrote - “ if you'd like to start taking off a 1:3 leaf ratio on your colas , it'll provide extra light to increase yields and densen Budds” Sir, thank you for touching specifically upon this nearly mythical topic, which deserves more research! I believe partial defoliation encourages bud growth, not because of more light to the flowers, but because flowers sense when there is room to grow, and when they are surrounded by dense foliage. The flowers themselves are not capable of photosynthesis, and do not benefit from direct light, except for the comparatively small surface area of the sugar leaves stacked among them. Big fan leaves are still the ovens that bake the bread that feed the flowers - never forget that! The under canopy should be trimmed of downward facing fan leaves and heavy growth. Upper branches should be trimmed partially, or 1:3 as CaliWill suggests, to not crowd potential bud sites. Looking great! Nice work so far.

I see you point and makes alot of since!:) honestly would you mind taking a look at my plants to see if I'm maybe causing to much stress? Sounds like you have more experience than the average newbie, I think I need to take your advice instead honestly
Kambi
Kambi
@growdoctordc, @QualityOrganics1, My GC plant isn't that dense and keeps on stretching a bit still as well as the others are still in early transitioning, so hopefully they will stretch a bit more so I can LST them a little wider. I wouldn't want to disturb them since they're auto, as well as removing big fan leaves that work on photosynthes and store nutrients the most. I'm thinking it's just going to force the plant growing bigger fan leaves in other places instead of working on buds. But then again if fan leaves going to get bigger near the buds, they going to distribute energy from photosynthesis to the nearest growth the most, so ... it's really controversial and I'm just too green in this department to risk it on my first ever grow 😅. I think it really depends on the plant structure whether to defoliate or not, I personally don't see any need in additional stress for my girls at this stage. Nothing is too dense on the fan leaves and light gets through to every shot and leaf just fine. If anything I can always tuck fan leaves in, if the light isn't getting through, or remove a few leaves on the very bottom that don't get any light in future.

thanks bro that just answered a question I've wondered for a long time. when I was younger I'd defoilte heavily on the bottom and top thinking wrongly, I then started just taking off too big of fan leaves and only slightly on top to allow the larger leaves on the base and middle of the cola and things went crazy but for the better. I always asked myself why it was better that way. I still got alot to learn but hey even the wisest person can gain wisdom right?

Your plants look amazing! I'm guessing the slow growth from the beginning has resolved itself, tremendously! Those are some beautiful ladies. I think most nute companies recommend using your grow and flower nutes together for a little while and then eliminate the grow and just be with flowering nutes.

Those leaves look like they are just old and faded. Since they are all at the bottom, attribute it to old leaves. If you start seeing any other issues then its time to worry a bit more. Purple stems don't have to be a nitrogen deficiency. It can be, but a lot of strains have purple stems. Most of the potting soils have a lot of nutes in them already. And you are feeding nutrients that have nitrogen, magnesium, and calcium in them. You shouldn't have a deficiency. The only other thought I have about your feeding is to look at the ingredients on your bottles. I found out I was giving a lot of nitrogen to my plant when she really didn't need it anymore. Some of these nutrient lines double up so you end up giving double doses when you don't need it. Overall, your plants look great! If you are not testing your water and run off water then I would start doing that. Keep track of the numbers. Otherwise, twist one up and listen to some music with your girls!!😎😛

@Quexos, Agreed! Especially about looking great! Anything the plant feels isn't worth it, it will cannibalize like this. It's technically a nitrogen deficiency, but unless it spreads -- in which case the *likely* solution is to bump up your grow formula for a feed or two -- it's just because the plant is eating itself as part of a natural process.

mine was doing the exact same thing last week! there starting to recover now. I added the cal mag I finally got along with a little Epsom salt and it seem to be what help it. I'm still not sure what it was but looked just like that. on this plant symptom chart it looked like a cal mag def but still till now im not sure because I tried several different thing from lighting to thinking maybe even root rot with mine. Hope you find the answer tho! that be cool for next time we see this, It really affected my growth :/

They are looking really nice this week! Include a few photos of the yellowing leaves. That will give other growers the chance to help out. It could be a reaction to the increase in nutes. If you are over feeding then you will start to see other problems. New growth will be effected as well.
Kambi
Kambi
@Quexos, Thank you! Added a few pics, hope that will be enough to tell :x I don't think I was over feeding tbh, I was usining half less then the packaging tells you to and I can literally count the times I've fed them on one hand so it might be quiet the opposite. After googling for a few days I think it might be N and/or Mg deficiency 😟

awesome grow!!! i am making so many mistakes coming back from a Winter break. your ladies are so happy! The stem is rooting itself and growing to withstand the epic flowers that your ladies will produce 4 you! the white spots are roots i believe. correct me if I am wrong anyone! learning as i am growing!

@Ashah074, I’m not so worried about white dots but the shedding of outer layer(you can kinda see it in the pic if you zoom in), but I figured it might’ve just started growing too fast and broke free 😄 happy growing to you!
