Swapped to 250 watt dual spec HPS to overcome problems with cold temperatures. Temperatures did drop to 17 degrees during a cold spell, now I’ve changed the lights it’s about 21-22 degrees in there. Which I’m much happier with. Day 18 and 20 plants were treated with foliar spray 0.5ml cal-mag. All plants are growing well and the dark devil is still growing but not as well as the other plants.

Does my dark devil look like it’s dying? Is there anything I may be able to do to save it or make it better. There’s some discolouration around the leaves and they look shrivelled up. Thanks

bro it is not dying yet but things may get worse if you don't transfer them to new pots. They are being burned at the moment. There must be some serious nutrient buildup in those small pots.Either flush hard or transplant.I would do the second.Just give the roots more free space to discover. Those pots will do the same thing again in a week even if you get over the nutrient burn problem. If you want to keep them in those pots still, I would recommend you a water+water+feed cycle until problem disappears but transplanting is a better idea if you would ask my opinion.Fat Banana doesn't seem to care about the buildup that much but others are obviously very sensitive to nutrients.

Potted on 6 days ago into coco coir, voodoo juice added for transition to help promote healthy roots and transition. Growth rate is still slower than expected but all the plants are healthy, dark devil is still growing more slowly than others but is showing signs of perking up.

she’s not as big as the other plants and looks a big shrivelled up. Does anyone know why she might be like this and anyway I can improve it? It might be something to do with the weather as it’s a bit cold. I’ve gave it half as much nutrients as the other plants. Thanks

She is still a baby plant and needs very little feeding, let alone being drowned with nutrients. After transplanting you should only give plain water until growth resumes. No matter how careful you are, some root damage/trauma will occur and until your plant recovers from this operation, plain water is the best medicine for it. By giving nutrients so soon after transplanting, the plant has to cope with re-establishing its most vital parts, the roots, find water and on top of it all, deal with mineral fertilizers and due to the roots still not being fully recovered, the mineral salts in the fertilizer will actually "suck" water out of your plant by reverse osmosis, causing dehydration. Try giving her only plain water until she picks up, then go back to quarter strength nutrients until she has 8-10 nodes, then step up to half strength. It is far easier to treat a slightly under fed plant than it is to rescue a over fed and burnt plant. Just like a human baby, your seedlings need gentle feeding until they are adults and just as with humans, you don't give babies T-Bone steaks or seedlings massive feeds with multiple nutrients. Hope this helps,...... Organoman.

Dark devil has been flushed six days ago and the run-off pH was down to 6.3. No nutrients has been added to the dark devil and the new growth on the plant looks better although it’s not at the growth level of the other plants. The fat banana and Northern Lights have all been low stress trained and pinned down with wire. Both of the Royal Queen plants are growing well but One fat banana has slight nutrient burn due to being in soil unlike the other plants that are in coco. All of the plants have been given plain water but I will start to add nutrients again at the start of week six.

The dark devil is still small but showing signs of flowering it’s been given no nutrients only PH down water at 5.8, will wait about a week before giving it light nutrients. The 3 fat banana under LED lights have been potted on from 7l pots to 15l pots and is now in coco lite. The other 3 fat banana and the northern lights are all growing well and have been given there first nutrients in 2 weeks, 1l for each plant. Will wait another week before giving the other fat banana any nutrients due to potting on.

Dark devil has just been given ph down water at 5.6 about 250ml. Dark devil is growing okay but still not the best it’s growing slowly and very easy to overwater. Fat banana and northern lights are growing good and are healthy

All plants doing well although slight nutrients imbalance in one fat banana. Low dose of cal mag added this week to correct this and the plant was looking better in 3 days. Dark devil still continues to grow but slowly. No nutrients added or any water as it’s still drying out after the last flush.

Plants are showing slight nutrient problems so they’ve only had water at 5.8 ph Dark devil has been swapped over to a fabric pot to help with root saturation problem and has just been given water while it’s settling.

Didn’t really get a lot of this plant. I got it as a free seed and I don’t think the weather has been hot enough to really get a good grow on it. It never really grew properly but I tried my best to just keep going on it and managed to get a few jointS. Tasted under developed and didn’t really get me very high.

Everything on this particular grow Took a while to get started and didn’t particularly grow very fast I didn’t get a very big yield off of this grow. The fat banana turned out okay the buds are very purple and the taste is very tropical. The high is very mellow and it takes about half a joint for you to really feel it. The second grow I’m doing now with fat bananas in seems to be starting out way better! Thanks for all the support and likes on this diary I enjoyed updating you all!
