DWC_LED | Kmintz (Zkittlez x Kush Mint)

Hey guys welcome to my Kmintz diary! 😀 I have been excited to grow this plant for a while now! 😛😛😛 Some of the best tasting bud I've had has been some very herby/kushy zkittelz and I have been seeing kmintz appear on Amsterdam coffeeshop menus in the past year asking top shelf prices everywhere, I really hope I get a very kushy tasting phenotype I cant wait to see the end result :D The plan is to have 4 plants this run, with 2 big ones (Kmintz and OG Kush) which will go into bigger 30L dwc buckets and 2 smaller ones (purple punch x dosidos and la x sorbet) which will remain in these 12L water capacity oxypots. I had a busy past month and was on a tight budget so I couldn't afford an exhaust fan for the first 3 weeks and ran out of nutrients 2 weeks ago! Now everything is well again! Topped down to 3rd internode around day 29. Binded down/LST the branches on day 34.

Day 48 update: She is growing very slowly... slow but steady 😀 Hopefully she stretches a bit during the first weeks of flower otherwise I will need to adjust the height of the dwc pot she is in. Still at least 35 days left before the flip to 12/12! Aiming to top at least 1 more time for 8 main stems, and if she is fast enough then will go for 16 main stems 😈

day 55: Topped only 2x, waiting till she grows more internodes before topping a 3rd time. She had VERY VERY SLOW GROWTH at the beginning of veg and is finally starting to get a bit of momentum! If she will flower anything like this then there will not be much stretching going on which will need to be taken into account (the rp og kush to her right will stretch hard!) All going slow and steady --> not using enough air pumps to get full potential from the DWC system, but anyway they have another 30+ days before moving to the flower tent so don't want them too big either.

Day 62 update: Kmintz is the most indica growing of the group! She has very short internode distance, making it not very easy to last. She finally grew enough to be topped a 3rd time a few days ago! Before the topping she looked like a little bush full of fat fan leaves! Trying not to remove too much height with the topping... with its neighbouring OG Kush I try to top to keep her low so the two end up at similar height 😉

Day 76 update: This Kmintz is a slow vegging plant! 😅 She is finally picking up but took nearly a week to grow again after last topping (even though she is in good health, just very slow growth). Should move to flower tent and start flower in 2 weeks... 😀👍

Day 95: Easly plant, slow growth, fat and stiff stems

moved to larger hydro reservoir in bigger tent under stronger light did a big defoliation, removed nearly everything apart from 5cm from the top started flower

slightly below normal stretch elevated her 15cm seems to not enjoy the transition to new tent (stronger light and new hydro res) as much as the rest, but she will pick up! 8 strong branches :D

did a heavy defoliation 2 days ago, she picked up well stretch has nearly come to a halt thc production slowly starting a bit of a fresh watery fruity smell coming from her already :D

Everything going ok! She grows clearly more indica than the other hybrids in the tent. The calyxes are starting to swell :D Like Quasimodo :') She is starting to get a sour smell that reminds me of sour watermelon sweets!! :D She is happy with 1.2EC so far :)

==> Decreased the base nutrients for less Nitrogen She is doing great! Smelling stronger than last week :D Calyxes swelling nicely :) Starting to get some color already :D The nice smells of watermelon candy and sour weed are slowly intensifying and the macro pictures surprised me! I can't wait till she is ready :D

Day 42 defoliation later today! 😛 She is doing great! 😃 Buds are gaining in weight, I hope she fills up nicely because I left a FAT base structure for only 8 main branches 😎😎😎 (would be nice to harvest more than 60g ^^) When I open the tent a nice sweet herby smell fills up the room 😀😛 Her buds are beautiful nice and swollen Quasimodo style with gray/blue hues making her look potent and tasty! 😍

==> lowered light power to 75% ==> Planned harvest date in 14-24 days, which would result in 66-76 days of flower (documented as an 9 week/63 day strain in breeder info, and +10 days on top of breeder info is normal) ==> Will feed without nitrogen starting tomorrow She is pretty snowy, with very swollen calyxes 😛 Her buds look beautifully consistent with a purple/blue/gray hue 😍 I bet her leaves will start to color soon, night time temps are low at 16.5c (and so are day time temps 20c) 😀 She has a nice sour slightly fruity and creamy scent, a bit difficult to describe as I have not had a plant with these smells before but I am very very excited 😁😁😁 When I touch her buds it is oily and sticky more than the average plant I have had 😍

==> Lights set to 60% power for last 10 days Harvested the next morning (day 66 flower) before lights on! 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀 She turned purple/grey nearly all over :D 😋😍😋😍😋😍😋😍 The buds are gorgeous with swollen calyxes and grey/purple/green colors! 😍😍 The resin seems to have ripened pretty uniformly, with most resin glands being cloudy and a few transparent :D 😍 ===>>>>> 😍 Her resin is very oily! When I touch the buds it nearly feels wet from the resin 😛😝😛😝 <<<<=== ***** HARVESTED ***** Dry method: ........................ entire plant upside down in 18-19c 55%rh Dry time: ............................... 10-11 days Dry weight: ........................... 55g 😳 Yield per square meter: ... 248g/m^2 😳 Current rh in pots: ............. 68%rh (aiming for 60-63%) ==> Took a bong hit of her to test, already the effect is stronger than average, lasted well beyond 3 hours and had hints of body-balance effects kind of like edibles! Quality over quantity on this phenotype 😀 ************************ ===============> Will update with pics and most importantly the smoke test, rosin press results & review AFTER 6-8 WEEKS OF CURE :D =>> She has great aromas that are sweet, sour 😜 a bit fruity and skunky and spicy 😝 it is difficult to describe 😅 and will definitely evolve during the drying and cure 😍 <<=
