Hey guys! Welcome to my L.A. Sorbet diary!
So I was sent these seeds by accident, I had ordered the much demanded Gelato X Sorbet but the shop made a mistake (and all gelato sorbet sold out for as far as I could find).
Originally I didn't want to grow this one when we only had 2 plants per run - due to its 'sleepy' effect (coming from the LA confidential). I'm the type that when not active (e.g. when watching movies) herb makes me day dream and fall asleep during the intro of the movie 😴 even sativas have this effect on me, I think because I'm a day dreamer 😅
However my GF is the opposite 😂 so hopefully this strain will get her to feel sleepy in the evenings!
The plan is to have 4 plants this run, with 2 big ones (Kmintz and OG Kush) which will go into bigger 30L dwc buckets and 2 smaller ones (purple punch x dosidos and la x sorbet) which will remain in these 12L water capacity oxypots.
Will top till 3rd internode when she has 5 internodes (in a few days probably)
Day 36 update:
Last week I was too late with changing the water res so had a nute deficiency, changed the res and now she is doing better again :D
Still at least 35 days left before flipping to flower.
day 43:
Topped for the 2nd time this morning.
All going slow and steady --> not using enough air pumps to get full potential from the DWC system, but anyway they have another 30+ days before moving to the flower tent so don't want them too big either.
Day 50 update:
The LA X Sorbet is stretching more than expected, maybe more of a sorbet leaning pheno?
Anyway she is doing well, easy plant so far! Will top a 3rd time in a week or two...
Day 64:

Not much to say, normal internode distance, normal growth 😂 Pretty easy up to now 😇
Can't wait to see how the bud formation goes with this one... 😛😀
normal hybrid stretch
more stretch than expected (since it had LA in it I thought it would stretch below average but the sorbet seems to make it stretch as much as the rest!)
seems to have stronger than average apical dominance
defoliated her 2 days ago, she reacted well and buds are starting to fatten up
her buds have the strongest smell in the tent, a full fruity citrus smell! :D
clearly strong apical dominance, the bud closest to the light is by far the biggest!
She has nice cone shaped buds!
Her buds are thicker and more uniform than the rest of the tent :D
She has nice spicy and sweet smell :D
Pistils are turning orange and buds look slightly more advanced than the other plants. This one is "8 weeks flower" so will probably be done a week earlier than the other 9 week strains, but always ends up taking at least 2 weeks longer compared to what it says on the packaging ;)
==> Decreased the base nutrients for less Nitrogen
She is doing great!
Calyxes swelling nicely :)
Starting to get some color in the leaves on the higher buds :D
The nice smells of watermelon candy and sour weed are slowly intensifying and the macro pictures surprised me!
I can't wait till she is ready, I think she will be ready first :D

Buds are gaining in weight, branches starting to hang a bit 😎
When I open the tent a nice sweet herby smell fills up the room 😀😛
Her leaves are turning purple/gray and the buds nice and multicolored! 😍
==> lowered light power to 75%
==> Planned harvest date in 14-20 days, which would result in 66-72 days of flower (documented as an 8 week/56 day strain in breeder info, and +14 days on top of breeder info is normal)
==> Will feed without nitrogen starting tomorrow
Buds are nice pinecones and filled up with consistent calyxes 😄
She is half purple at the top but still green at the bottom of the plant 😀😀😀
Smelling nice and creamy sweet with peppery/spicy notes 😛😛😛😛😛
==> Lights set to 60% power for last 10 days
Harvested the next morning (day 66 flower) before lights on! 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀
She turned purple nearly all over :D 😋😍😋😍😋😍😋😍
The buds are gorgeously round and so uniform! The top buds are barely larger than the mid buds 😍
