Welcome to the new diary!
This is a PEV sponsored one, but as usual my reviews are mine and mine alone.
@pevbankseeds thanks!
Initially there were 3 seeds in the plastic box. the intension was to germinate one seed and see how the plant is, as I never had a Banana flavored one.
the 1st seed didn't germinate whilst their friends did. (they were from different genetics).
with the first failure in mind, ivé germinated once more and he died due to an error on my behalf :-(
I'm now in round 3 with this seed.
Steps including the restart and failure
20/12 - Placed in paper towel
21/12 - long tails and placed in pots with RQS start solution.
22/12 - hello new world. She is alive!!! 👋👋👋👋
29/12 she died... I've killed her. I don't know how. So we restarted the grow again, on the 29th I've germinated my last seed
They were germinated in paper towel for 24 hours, followed by transplant into a 1 litter pot, and placed under 10w florescent light with light cycle of 18/6
Took me a while to get this diary going as I had some personal commitments.
4/1 - 10/1
After germinating the seed last week, she sprouted. I have transferred her from the starter cube into the 1 litter pot and placed her under the 100w lights.
11/1 - 17/1
She is showing good growth and quite stable getting a bit leggy but looks fine at the moment
I'm feeding her once a week sometimes twice but I try to keep it to minimum
Week 18/1 - 24/1
the baby is growing slowly and surely. she doesn't get enough light as i cannot concentrate it on her. the LUX are around 12k. It's better than holding her in the small grow box.
the space is quite limited so i will have to keep her in the small pot. at least for another week or so. not that the room will become bigger. maybe i will just change my mindset.
happy Friday to all of us
25/1 - 31/1
This plant is tricky. She didn't start well and continued to be very flimsy, during the week I've noticed that part of the stem almost broke loose, I had to transfer her to a different pot. Once I've done that she started to recuperate.
Finally today she got full power food and I hope she is on a better path than before
1/2 - 7/2
She has shown zero growth in the week. With minor deficiencies. Hopeful that the next week will be better for her. The shock from last week was critical for her....
Happy Friday to all my readers!
The plant started to recover from the transplant and after getting topped she started to grow new shuts. The deficiency stoped and hopefully she will start to grow normal.
I can't increase the pot size. My space won't allow it, I think that once the automatic flower is done she will get the spot under the lights
The plant and me have a challenging experience. It's mainly my fault, on Friday I was looking to see if there is too much runoff in the pot and I completely forgot about office binders that hold the plant to the external container... So I broke her.
I quickly tied her down back and sprinkled some clonex. After two days I can see that she look perky and happy maybe it was just a strong stun.
Moving forward she wont get any N, let see how she will do this week.
Ahh... This plant and me have a challenging relationship. Half of her died in a stupid accident. Now she is halfsies but... Fear not she will be smoked one way of the other. I never give up and failure is never an option. I'll clone her if needed... But jokes aside she is recovering from the shock she had and next week all the plants will move into the tent. This will give her the boost she needs.
8/3 - 14/3
She is making small recovery and starting to grow new shuts. I have removed all the burned materials from the plant and next week she will I will transplant her to a bigger pot
15/3 - 22/3
Zero progress and zero growth she is recovering from the shocks through her system.
But in giving her next week some new boosts hopefully she will be better.
In one week she will move into the tent and hopefully into a bigger bucket. From there one more week of vegetation and then she will be flowered with the rest of the plants in the tent.
I don't count on yielding a big quantity.
I still consider to take a clone from her but since I will be flying for 5 weeks and my gf will handle the plants I would prefer to skip the extra burden on her.
I have to move her to a smaller place since the other two plants are taking over. Moving forward she will be in this box. This will be a very long term solution, I anticipate roughly 10 weeks.....
I feel really bad for not being able to flower her in the tent. But having the 15L fabric pots simply won't allow me to have her inside with them and still flower properly.
It's been another week for her in the small box, crammed up and felling all lonely. I've made a mistake with her, breaking her, putting her under stress and more.... I have to sort this out but I don't have the space for it. Feeling sad for the plant.... In 7 weeks she will be in different state but as of now... Small place small pot and 20w of light...
She is surviving in her little box and so far dosen't show issues besides the obvious stress on her and little light she gets.
I hope she will be fine for 7 more weeks
Another week is in the books and she will moved into a new tent with her girls. Enough abusing this plant time to invest some money in the grow and make it better
Another week of maintenance and she is getting bad and dropping. But the tent is on the way and should be here soon. Afterwards she will be repotted into 11l fabric pot
She was repotted into 11l fabric pot and I hope she will start to grow big roots. The light is quite high up but needed for the other plants. I believe she will reach the net and then in parallel develop a strong root system. She suffered alot through the entire process.
Last week of vegetation ended.
Moving forward to flowering stage.
She got hurt many months ago and half of the plant snapped due to my mistake so she is half a plant...
1st week of flowering passed by quite fast and she grows up.
Next week she will be moved under bigger lights and higher tent. All n all happy days with the growth and no issues to report
She is filling up and I'm removing small bud sites and large fan leafs.
I can see minor bud sites on all the plants. It looks promising. She needs a diet switch to flowering food.
4th of July ends this week. The flowers are growing and they are small but sticky.
I'm going to sort some family affairs and my girlfriend will take care of the plants.
If all plans work well, I'll be back to harvest.
She will feed them every other day with 18ml of food and 20ml boost on 5l water.
Week 6 ended and my girlfriend is doing an amazing job with the plants. There was a bit of toxicity and she lowered the food quantity for one feed. Also some cleanup happened on the plants. The rest seems fine.
I asked her how is it to grow weed and her main complaint was the vigorous regiment of the feeding. Stay safe have a good week.
Week 7 ended and I'm also back at home after 3 weeks of travelling. From next week the plants will get lower amounts of food and slowly and surely move to a water only regiment.
The plant reached his end. She was chopped off about an hour ago
63 days
June 6, 2021 - August 8, 2021
The process was fast, the plant didn't have much to offer. The wet weight is 291gram, including sticks.
The buds are Loaded with crystals, super sticky and smelling like fresh banana.
They are drying in super non optimum conditions with 2 avg 25c and 65rh.
Enjoy the pictures
The buds are dense and very juicy, sticky and smells like ripe bananas with a hint of Lemmon smell.
After minimal curing time I can report that this is more of an evening smoke or in case you wish to get stuck on the PC doing a project. That will also work. for example filling in growdiaries :-)
