ILGM grow

ILGM grow has begun. We started out with 4 seeds in germination. 100% seeds popped but I lost the Sunset Sherbet due to the seed sticking to the top of the sprout. Not sure if I could have saved her or not. Maybe someone could drop me a hint in comments if they have figured out a way to avoid this issue. But I will be happy with Gelato, Zkittlez and CBD Blueberry. I skipped germination and the first week in the grow plug as it is not very exciting. I do want to know how everyone gets these beautiful seed packages........I get envelopes with abbreviations instead of these cool looking pouches. Maybe it is because it is hard to get seeds into US. But I promise to do my best to give you some sexy bud shots. Let's get it!

Week 2 of veg. Plants are starting to gain some size. Not sure how many weeks they will get before I switch over to flower. The plan was to go smaller than my last grow. Probably 4-5 weeks. They were all topped this week.

Started to train this week. I just use paper clips and binder clips with some tooth floss. They are not as pretty as some of the other techniques I have seen on here. But the wax on the floss keeps the tension and it doesn't stretch. I just cut and retie new lines as needed. They have also been added to the bigger 5 gallon pots. One of the topped branches on my Zkittlez was a bit stunted but seems to be catching up now.

Here is the last week in veg for these girls. There was no change in nutrients from week 3. I worked on the LST this week but nothing else. The girls grew about 1.5 to 2 inches. I wanted to keep them in veg for another week but wanted to try a smaller plant this round. We shall see how this goes.

Another less than exciting week in the tent. The girls are now only getting 12 hours of light. They got a little bit taller this week. I am continuing the LST while the plants stretch. I did a little more lollipopping/defoliation this week. I will try and get some better shots of the branches next week. This will be the first run that I have given the plants Recharge throughout the entire grow. Time will tell on how much of a difference it makes.

Week 2 has come to an end. We are starting to see some pistols now. The zkittlez plant is a bit of a runt. It doesn't seem to have the greatest genetics but we will keep her going. The other girls are looking nice. I want to re mention that the Blueberry plant is actually a CBD plant. This will be the first CBD plant that I have ever grown. I personally am pretty excited about this. The nutrients have remained at the same levels as last week. I have continued to LST and defoliate lightly this week. I do a little every couple days so the girls don't get too stressed out.

I had a little bad news in the tent this week. The Zkittlez plant that was giving me problems ended up turning hermaphrodite. That plant has been cut down and removed from the area. Now we are only down to two plants. It is a little unfortunate since one of the two remaining plants is a CBD plant. 😔 I am continuing the LST with my clips and floss. Now that I have more room in the garden I will spend less time training. As you can see the girls are stretching for sure. This week they grew quite a bit.

Another week in the books. And I didn't even lose a plant this week. :) Plants are still stretching this week. They have put on a few inches the last few weeks. I am also starting to see some trichomes which is a plus. Not much LST this week. The branches are still tied however I didn't do much adjusting during the week. I purposely had been doing less to the plants after the Zkittlez plant hermed on me. I don't think I overstressed her but have gotten a little gun shy. I will probably just focus on defoliation for the remainder of the grow. Keep the airflow nice and open.

It is cold as hell outside and we are about to wrap up week 5 flower. The garden smells delicious! Very fragrant and floral. This week was uneventful again. The LST has almost completely halted after my Zkittlez issue. I did some light defoliation twice this week. I am still not sure if the Gelato plant needs more done to it. Maybe let me know in the comments. Maybe next week we will see some color changing?

We are just about done with week 6 and my colors didn't come in. Damn damn damn. :( Nothing negative to report on the week. The girls are looking very healthy in my opinion. Of course I was expecting more from them this week. More trichomes and coloring. I really hope we continue to gain size over the last week weeks. As far as my defoliation. I took a few leaves every few days so I wouldn't stress the plants too much. My pictures still need some work. I have been trying some different lighting and lenses but still need more practice. I feel like I maybe got a couple decent photos out of the 46 or so I took.

Here is the last day of week 7. Pretty good week as the buds put on some size. Not much happening in the color department but that is alright. Pictures are getting better or it is just the buds. :)

We are all done with week 8 of flowering. No more nutrients for these girls. I did notice a nice size difference from last week. Trichome production is looking alright but the smell is just phenomenal. I can't think of another grow that has matched this amazing aroma.

Week 9 and time to dry! Overall satisfied with both plants. Too bad we lost Zkittlez but these things happen. Checked out the trichomes before I hung them up. Once again I attempted to procure some decent pictures. Not even fucking close. :) The blueberry CBD got a little amber on me. I would say they are close to 40-50%. The Gelato was right about that 25-30% range. I wanted to pull them at the same time and figured focus more on the THC plant. I am still saying the blueberry CBD is the best smelling plant I have ever grown. It smells like grape/blueberry candy. I don't know how to explain it but just wow. See you in a week.

Overall happy with the grow. Both the plants ended up yielding on the target. This was a short germ so I didn't expect huge numbers. Gelato looks pretty and smells even better. Actually that is a lie because it tastes even better than it smells. I think I could have given her another week. No couch lock. The high is pleasant and not too overpowering. The CBD is yet to be judged as most of this plant will go into edibles and topicals.

What am I going to do with all that Blueberry CBD you ask? Well most of it went into tinctures, but I made some coconut oil too. Coconut oil can be made into multiple items. I used it for the bath bombs and coco butter lotion this time. I am making gummies with the tinctures.
