This is the 8th week. Thursday will be 9 weeks of 12/12. Some trichs are amber. They just added a good bunch of girth over the past few days, but most of the pistils are red now. The rest of them have been dropping leaves consistenly but the canopy remains full so they must be putting out more leaves. I just flushed to 80% runoff and found out that I had 1200ppm. I just got an ec meter but my last reading said closer to 600 so idk what happened there. I flushed until I had runoff ppm of about 150. Now they're back in the grow tent. I don't want to keep assaulting them with my microscope. I think they're ready. Just gonna let them settle another day or two to dry out a bit. I took one small branch off the small Wedding Cake plant on Thursday and I've just been watching it dry on my counter. It's been 5 days and the stem snaps but still leaves a fiber connecting. I put it into a small jar with a 64RH thing. I just want to try it. It already smells amazing. The leaves on the big CBD Blue Shark plant are going really yellow and some other colours are starting to come out as well. The buds all fattened up and got more frosty again. I was worried they were foxtailing but they got more calyxes underneath the peaks and have been making more of a pyramid shape. They're really close to peak. Harvest day will be March 17 or 18. March 17 1023pm chopped and hung after lights off all day. RH was 65% before I chopped and 50% after I closed the window and cut the plants off the saturated pots. I did a wet trim to prevent mold. The buds are sticky af. Gonna hang them to dry for 7-9 days before curing in jars :) March 18 : checked the RH when I woke up and it's chilling at 45% 😎 March 19 : just checked to see how they were drying. There are seeds in every plant. RIP I'll update when I put them in jars and again a few weeks later for final review. Overall it was a good grow despite the rocky start and a good introduction to the mainline technique and my new grow space. Next grow I should have everything pretty well dialed in. March 23 They were hanging for 3 days. Rh was around 45, then spiked to 65 overnight when I forgot to turn the fans back on. Temp was high at around 26.they felt wet after 2 days, and bone dry after 4 days. The stems still didn't snap but I put them in jars anyway. A day later, jar RH was 50%. I burped all the jars and there was a smell from the new jars. I took all the weed out, washed out the jars, and did a dry trim on the weed. One of the Wedding Cake plants must have gone hermie. I didn't see any bananas and didn't even realize there were seeds until the very end. The seed pods looked just like calyxes while the plants were growing. Many of the nugs are unusable. Under the sugar leaves are just layers and layers of seeds. Some weren't hit that badly. The CBD Blue Shark is much better off but still has some seeds. I'm trying to stay positive. It's a bit of a shock though. I'm anxious to try the finished product. If the flowers at least taste good and have a good effect, all is not lost.

The leaves on 2/4 plants have gotten all crinkly and burnt looking. I transplanted 2 days ago and fed yesterday. I'm at 13 weeks in veg and just got the mainline looking like I want it. I was going to go into 12/12 on New Years but should I delay?

Yes, you should delay flowering until growth resumes normally. In future, let you plants recover fully from being transplanted before giving any type of feeding. No matter how careful you are, transplanting can/will be a slightly traumatic experience for your plants, with root damage being the main culprit. It will take a safe 3-5 days for your plants to fully recover from transplanting and resume growing again. Feeding your plants so soon after transplanting will mean that as your plant has not had a chance to fully repair/recover her root system and any feeding of nutrients will overly tax your plants ability to cope with the nutrients, when all she really wants is some plain water to re-establish herself and her root system. This will be the reason for the burnt leaves, too much nutrients and not enough "recovery fluid" or as it is sometimes known, plain water. Just like people who have had an operation, they are put on a saline drip to boost their electrolytes and to combat dehydration and are not given a 5 course meal. It is the same with your plants, they need a while with plain water to rehydrate themselves from their operation (transplanting) and need time to heal before being given a healthy meal. The burning occurs because your plant can not supply itself with enough fluid due to root upset and the addition of nutrients actually dehydrates the plant through reverse osmosis, causing the leaves to dry out and burn. Hope this helps,.... Organoman.

I burned my plants 2 weeks ago and delayed flowering. I waited for them to dry out and just watered them with Ph'd water a couple days ago. They have recovered and are growing fast. Can I switch to 12/12 right now or should I wait until they dry out and feed them bloom nutes?

Don't let them dry out too often, this can cause further delays as your plant slows its metabolism to cope with the reduced water availability. Switching to flower and waiting until they have recovered and are making good growth again was a wise decision and switching now is ok. Try resuming feeding at half strength as it is better to feed slightly under, which is easy to correct, rather than trying to rescue an over fed and damaged plant, which you are well and truly aware of. After switching to 12/12, your plants will still need the extra nitrogen that is in the "grow" nutrients for a while and I would suggest waiting until the first "tufts" of white hairs/budlets are forming before changing to "bloom" nutrients. I usually go from grow nutrients to half grow nutrients and half bloom nutrients before changing again to just bloom nutrients. Hope this helps,.... Organoman.

My grow space is 46"Lx67"Hx24"D. I have a dimmable 1000w mh and will switch to 1000w hps soon. For this size space, how high should I expect to have the 1000w? Is 100% too high? Pic is older.

Dude that's too much light with not enough space.. Your heat.. Your "Over lighting". You'd be way better off with a 250w or 400w. Contact a bulb supplier and find out from them what they would advise.. But a 1000 watt with 2 feet of height is NO good. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but the truth is it's not a good idea to substantially dim down any grow light period.. Unless you are having problems. https://eyehortilux.com/grow-lights-grow/to-dim-or-not-to-dim-your-grow-lights-that-is-the-question/

I've been giving them just water for 2 weeks but I only let them get about 10% runoff. I want to put them in 48hrs darkness but not if they've just been watered. Looking for opinions: flush to 80% runoff now and harvest on Wed or leave them in darkness and cut them down on Wed?

Leave them in the darkness and cut soon, they are already optimal for potency any mroe time you're loosing THC. Hope this helps ! 🚀

I harvested last Wednesday. I did a bit of a wet trim because I was worried about the humidity in the tent with the light off. The first few days the RH was between 50-70% and the nugs felt wet. Now it's been 45% for 2 days and the nugs are rock hard. Should I put in jars early?

Hey Growmie, If the nugs are rock hard, then I wouldn't say it's early I'd say it's the right time to put them in the jars to start the cure. Hopefully, this was helpful, and remember ..." Happy Growing" and "Free your mind one puff at a time".

@3lementa1, follow your plan growmie, when i flush in soil i just use plain water no run off (to avoid stress) for a few weeks, you kinda accelerated that in a way. it's no major really. Hope this helps ! 🚀

@CRiSPrGrow, much appreciated, thank you! I'm worried that I still had such high ppm just now (1200, flushed down to 150). Do you think I should chop on Wednesday according to plan, or wait longer for it to draw in more water and flush itself out more? Kicking myself for not doing a full 80% runoff flush 2 weeks ago.
