GlazedGrow 5: FB Purple Mars Vipar Squad

Week 1 - 01/01 to 01/08 2021 HUGE THANKS TO @MARSHYDROLED and @VIPARSPECTRALED! New surge protectors/heavy duty timers/the good cords. The Purple Lemonade by @Fast_Buds is right on pace, way larger than the LSD-25 next to it but that has to do with genetics. Will give it a week or so for it to really settle in with a root base before cleaning out my 5gal RootPouch pots from the last grow and getting them transferred into their final homes. I have all my seedlings under the P1500 from Vipar as my veg light for the first few weeks to a month. It's SO nice to not have a blurple anymore, the light is way better in my room and on the eyes. The new diodes had every single seedling grow more in 6 hours than it did in the first 7 days under the blurp LED. The Purple Lemonade sprouted its second set of leaves by the time I woke up from my nap 😂 I noticed a bit of spotting on the Dark Devil in my other diary so I added some Hydrogen Peroxide to the spray bottle and it cleared up. All four have been getting constant spritzing from the spray bottle to keep humidity up. Have no doubt the new lights will make the plant/overall yield. Thanks for stopping in! Day 14 - 01/14/2021 End of Week 2! The Purple Lemonade is right on track with the Dark Devil and Red Poison, the LSD-25 is expectedly small. Seems like the LSD seeds I got testers from were from an early/off batch but still gonna be a pair of solid @FastBuds purples between it and the Purple Lemonade. Excited to get this one transferred into its final 5gal fabric pot and under my new @MarsHydroLED TSL2000 This @ViparSpectraLED Pro Series P1500 is INSANE. Compared to the old blurple LED I had, this Quantum Board 'ish is where it's at. Never personally seen growth like this since it's the first time I'm growing with legit lighting 😍 Basic care other than the new equipment, keeping them sprayed down multiple times a day and still adding a few sprays of Hydrogen Peroxide to the water just to make sure none of the spotting I say earlier comes back/settles in before the grow really gets going. Very excited to get the new set up going, the amount of growth in 4 days under this new light is blowing my mind 😱 Thanks for checking in! Week 3 - Jan 15 to 21 2021 New @ViparSpectraLED P1500 has given me the fastest veg growth with autos so far. Can't get over how the quantum board is compared to my old blurple 😓 Purple Lemonade by @FastBuds and the rest of the plants have been in the starters until the end of Week 3, already transferred and ready for a week four post once I get these out of the way 🙌 I'm not sure if the Purple Lemonade is a little on the mutant side or it just has a Tobacco Mosaic disease. The new growth is a little bit twisted and shiney with some light green streaking here and there that sticks around. I thought it was a fungus or mildew when I saw it in Week 2 and added the light Water/Hydrogen Peroxide foliar spray but seems to be something genetic. Will grow it through I'm pretty sure it's harmless in terms of smoke toxicity? I'll post more pictures/grow question in Week 4. Nothing but basic water feeds in the Destiny Dark Matter Organic Living Soil/ProMixHP mix providing the base nutes. 💪👽👍 On the other hand, the tent is right next to the turntable so the girls got a lot of solid vinyl listening this week: Road Apples - The Tragically Hip Up To Here - The Tragically Hip The Blue Album - Weezer Rumours - Fleetwood Mac Off The Wall - Michael Jackson Chromatica - Lady Gaga Welcome to the Pleasure Dome - Frankie Goes to Hollywood Destroyer - KISS Hemispheres - RUSH MTV Unplugged - Nirvana A Night At The Opera - Queen All keeping the ladies dancing and happy since im about to start bending and popping and "low-stress" 😅 training them starting week 4 -- Reset the power cords and set it all up on the new surge protectors and stronger timers. Got the General Electric Ultra Pro wide body power bar/surge for a little bit more piece of mind on my end. Also replaced all power cords with heavy duty Stanley brand extensions and outdoor graded power tool timers etc. The new @MarsHydroLED #TSL2000 is set up, been tested, and ready to take over the final weeks of the grow. Just need to set up some ducting over the top of it to my exhaust fan since it throws more heat than I have had to deal with yet. -- Thanks for checking in! Week 4 - 01/22 to 01/28 2021 Pictures from Days 25 + 26 TRANSPLANTED! 1.) I think the Purple Lemonade might have flipped into preflower already like the other Red Poison and Dark Devil 2.) Think the Purple Lemonade has Tobacco Mosaic Disease? No worries for me dur only thing I can see with the streaking/twisted new growth but the Purple Lemonade is doing fine otherwise 😈 More and more reasons to go back to a photoperiod grow after this for more control/really test out the new lights 🙌 Ended up more 50/50 ratio of Destiny Organic's Dark Matter Living Soil + ProMixHP since I had to make the Destiny last. Apparently they went out of business just after I decided it was my favourite/new soil :( Would rather stay away from Ocean Floor since I haven't had the best experiences with it (bugs/rust fungus etc) Feel free to drop some recommendations other than Fox Farms below 👍 Moved the Purple over to it's final 5gal on Jan 26 and started light LST + watering from the bottom of the tray to coax the roots down as opposed to a top pour. Still giving them hourly sprays of basic water foliar and the light water/hydrogen peroxide spray mixed in here and there for piece of mind/extra cleaning from the soil contact during transplant. Looks like bits of purple/red flecks are starting to creep in to the stems so hopefully keeping my window open at night to drop the temperatures will pull some great colours in my tent for the first time 😻👹😈 I raised the @ViparSpectraLED P1500 another eight inches after transplant and started basic LST. I really wanted to get these four under a ScrOG but if 3/4 are already flipping and the LSD is still runty I might have to wait it out again. I have the @MarsHydroLED TSL2000 set up and ready to go once the girls settle into their new pots. Have the new surge protector/heavy duty power cords/power tool grade timers as mentioned in Week 3. Some of it shown in the pictures. Day 32 - Week 5 - 02/01/2021 Going to break out the good camera this week now that slight hints of colour are starting to come in on some of the other plants. 😈😎 The Purple Lemonade is tallest of the runts during this grow 😅 About 10 inches with the YAW scale applied 😉 Still just doing light LST but since this grow is way faster than I wanted I'll just keep them more natural with slight adjustments not going to both tying or pinning them down. Other than the suspected Tobacco Mosaic, seems healthy more or less and looks similar to past runty autoflowers I've grown. With the new lights I should be able to at least push whatever buds I get to the max then retry some of these strains again right in the final home to avoid life getting in the way of transplanting in time again 😥 I also started feeding nutes this week, very small amounts of pH Perfect M-G-B kit + Molasses mixed into a gallon of water and fed through the bottom instead of top pouring. Also topped the soil with Diatomaceous Earth incase it was pests or something, also played into why I kept the top dry and free of Molasses so far. Week 6 - 02/03 to 02/09 Purple Lemonade (Top Left/Far Left) in photos turned out to be the tallest/most developed plant so far. Small hints of purple coming into the flowers by the end of Week 6. Nothing compared to the Red Poison/Maybe Dark Devil if I was too high when labeling my repotted plants in week 3 😂😈 Can definitely see where the colour is going to come in but the possible Tobacco Mosaic/genetic striping on the fan leaves have stayed consistent into flower and way more noticable under the new @MarsHydroLED TSL 2000 I have the pleasure of testing out. The new lights from @ViparSpectraLED and @MarsHydroLED have changed the game, I feel like the Purple Lemonade is STILL stretching even into Week 7 while flowering 💪 Still just doing some basic bending/tucking LST. No ties yet. Gave a big feed the other day so once I let them dry out a bit and take care of the W7 pictures i'll give it a once over with basic LST ties/defol before bulk month. Not many pictures take, the good camera is now charged and ready but work kept me unable to settle in for a full photoshoot. Planning on getting it done/update week 7 with proper pictures asap. Kept the D. Earth on during the first half of the week and continued my bottom-up feeds/waters to keep the top layer less inviting to any buggos who want to come and crash the party late in the game. Upped the overall nutes since I included the fourth plant in the feeding mix but the Purple Lemonade ended up with the same levels after split between the 4 as opposed to 3 last week. First time i have not seen any clawing or tip burning from using the Advanced Nutrients pH Perfect M-G-B + Big Bud combo which usually happens. The new @MarsHydroLED TSL 2000 + the new bottom up feeding since i added drip trays to the tent should give it solid quality/fat buds even though the overall plant is smaller than I'd like it to be. Standard plain/molasses watering and plain water chaser between Advanced Nute's salt feeds. Going to start the flush a bit earlier than usual try to pull a nice fade for a final photoshoot. Week 8 - Day 51 - 02/17 to 2/23 2021 All phone pictures. Go off site to my instagram for HD/DSLR content: https://www.instagram.com/glazedgrow/ Excited to see how this Purple Lemonade Auto from @Fast_Buds finishes, already looks like it might be the biggest main cola I've grown so far thanks to the new lights. Much like the Red Poison and LSD-25 are similar in their profiles, The Purple Lemonade seems similar to the Dark Devil Auto I'm growing right beside it. Hard Lemon Sweetness with a bit of earthy "Purple" but overall very sweet on the fingers after adjusting etc, more purple in the Purple Lemonade and a bit more citrus compared to the redder Dark Devil. Gave them all another solid nute feed but this time top down, noticed a bit of possible mold smell coming from the drip trays so i wiped/cleaned them out with disinfectant and added a few sprays of Hydrogen Peroxide to the water rinse after the feed. Upped the Big Bud and Bloom nutrients a little bit and made sure to water until run off, the only one that looked a little claw-ish after an hour was the LSD-25 so i gave it a solid 2nd run off watering but the Purple Lemonade took it like a champ. Other than that, the new @MarsHydroLED TSL 2000 and @ViparSpectraLED PS1500 for veg definitely made a huge difference and the buds on the Dark Devil aren't as fat/clustered as the Purp or Red Poison but lots of solid secondary sites to expose and chunk up under the new testers Hopefully the WeDryer from the December DOTM comes in time since it would be super helpful only having one tent and no alternative drying areas in my space. When the Purple Lemonade and other two plants on the same schedule come down it will be nice to keep my LSD in for a full finish instead of pulling a week early so i dont have to hang dry in the tent when the light's on/rush the other purple beauty in this grow to an early harvest. Week 9 - Day 58 - 02/23 to 2/28 2021 All phone pictures. Go off site to my instagram for HD/DSLR content: https://www.instagram.com/glazedgrow/ Very excited if this is just the first bulk week because it's easily the biggest main bud I've seen so far/still a couple weeks left on it. New lights killing it. Great Candy/Citrus smell to it / Very similar to the Dark Devil beside it in profile/build structure. Gave all the plants mostly water feeds this week in order to avoid salt build up. Some staining on the bottom of the fabric pots from the bottom feeds so just making sure the soil is fine for the final major nute feeds before flushing in a week or so. Made some caps with homemade thc olive oil from a friend that sent me some "Intergalactic Cable" viewing materials as well 😎 Have to use them fast but been stable for a week and not just starting to come through the gel caps, will have to get something harder next time still a lot left in the bottle. Still clear signs of the Tobacco Mosaic/Genetic issue in the leaves but clearly not affecting anything else, might tip the top of the bud when i start the flush to have it back build on itself and see how dense I can make it once it's dried. Other than that, the new @MarsHydroLED TSL 2000 and @ViparSpectraLED PS1500 for veg definitely made a huge difference and the buds on the Dark Devil. Week 10 - Day 62 - 03/01 to 03/07/2021 All phone pictures. Still has the potential as my largest overall cola, I'd say it already it just have to make sure it makes it to the end and see if the new light added density after dry/cure. Going to look really good in the legit pictures I post elsewhere. 😉 After a week of water/molasses feeding I've given another nute feed of Big Bud, Bloom, and Molasses followed by water until run off. Took some of the smaller new fan leaves off and will end up lollypopping and giving the final bulk up defoliation adjustment by end of Week 10. Maybe one or two more nute feeds before the final flush which I'm going to start early. Great lemon/citrus smell. No deep earthy or overall purple notes yet. Started the flush halfway through last week and continued this week.
