starting to bud up quick.. wish the plant was slightly taller, expected more of a stretch but maybe short due to topping and transplanting stress. prob should have given her an extra week of veg after transplant defoliated BK flower day 18 , other 2 in a few days. BK prob smaller and less developed due to age when flipped

Assuming you could keep it moist enough, it would sprout. If there is light, though, your taproot would be exposed directly. This would be bad. The root would also have trouble driving into the dirt or might go in sideways or something. Also not good. You can do this, but it would not work as well. Cover it with a little soil. Don't pack it too tightly. Grow Marijuana ๐Ÿ™ƒ

They would compete for root space, nutrients, water, growing space, light.... basically everything. Have tried it many years ago and ended up with 2 very tired and small plants and they weren't even next to each other, but approx 6 inches apart. They both struggled with fighting each other for room and ended up with about one quarter the harvest as two plants of the same strains that wee grown individually. The two that I kept together were so nice that I didn't want to chop either one down in order to end up with only one seedling in the pot, but I later very much regretted that I didn't, or that I didn't try to separate them when they were still small. I thought I would end up with a double harvest, but due to the competition for root space, light, nutrients etc, I ended up with a half harvest. I would suggest not to try it unless your have space, time, room and are not interested in a big harvest and only do it out of curiosity or as an experiment. Basically, due to competition you will end up with 2 very mediocre plants rather than two normal plants. However, growing outdoors directly in the ground, it can work and I have planted two seedlings very close to each other and tied them down in opposite directions and this worked out ok because root growth was not restricted as much, but water requirements went way up and it was not really ideal. I now would not choose to plant them in the ground any closer than 3 feet minimum, if at all possible, Hope this helps,..... Organoman.

Your pots appear to be large, therefore if you're going to avoid transplants by placing seedling directly in its final pot, do not saturate completly the water. It only needs a shot glass of water It is important not to use use soil amendments that require a pre-cooking period of 30 days such as blood meal & other meals & guanos, amongst others. Otherwise roots will get burnt. If you used small pots, yes it would be a good idea to activate your soil's microbiology beforehand

I prefer to start in rapid rooter cubes. They easy to use and easy to keep moist but not overly moist. Otherwise, the paper towel method is probably best if your going to plant them straight into their final pots. It helps you control the moisture better.

You have a good handle on it. They double in size from one phase to the next generally. Sativas can even triple so its important to know what your strain will do. A website seedbank.eu (I believe, maybe seedbanks.eu) has good info and will usually tell you what to expect for a stretch. Most growers flip at around 4 weeks. This is a completely reasonable time frame. Training will draw the veg time out and if you have lots of space and strong lighting, you might wait even longer. Good luck!

A absolutely massive difference, over 4 times the yield is possible plus better penetration of light in to the canopy. Also you will be able to use a larger space usually 1.2m square (4ft x4ft) with 650w. Just make sure you have the height space to be able to hang the light slightly higher as normally with that powerful of light you need between 12-21 inches between the plants and the light depending if it is a LED or a hps. Hope this helps pal๐Ÿ‘

I wouldn't pump co2 until your further along or your temps run a tad high. All strains are different. At 2 weeks it's a risk but could pay out. Really it's a tiny risk. Maybe run a little less than max. I use a concoction of water yeast sugar and baking soda in a home made co2 generator and usually put it in the tent at week 2 or 3

Organomananswered grow question 4 years ago
As soon as you can see it, plant it. Waiting for it to grow any length increases the risk (extremely) of causing damage to the vital and fragile/delicate root tip that determines exactly how well your plant will grow, as this is the very beginning of "embryonic" growth. I agree entirely with what the others have written, much better to use a cube/jiffy/plug etc that you can germinate the seed in and avoid handling the delicate sprout when planting the cube/jiffy/plug, rather than trying to position and bury the embryonic seedling. This way the root is also going straight down from birth, instead of sideways and having to change direction when planted, as this uses vital energy the seed could better utilise for growing. Hope this helps, Organoman. P.S - also yes, remove any type of cover as soon as the seedling breaks the surface, it will need air exchange and does not need excess humidity which can cause "damping off", whereby the stem rots from the excess humidity. Only clones require amplified humidity when first taken, due obviously to not having any roots for the first few days.

Yes four plants under 650watts will do much better then 2. Veg times are a big factor.. longer veg times= bigger plants. Of course there is a difference between 2 and 4 plants.. It could be double the output.. You could also get a comparable output form 2 with a longer veg time. If you were thinking in terms of timing and energy costs.. It's far more efficient to run 4 plants and flip them @ 5-6 weeks.

At what week or size should you start Scrog? and after or before topping? And what height do you put the net ?
Solved

The8thChevronanswered grow question 4 years ago
8-12" is the standard height to start a scrog so it depends upon when they hit that height (probably at the end of the 3rd week). You should do all of your topping first although scrog doesn't require you to top. Most people top at the 3rd node, I personally prefer the 4th although I have no reason but gut feeling for that. I've seen people wait until their plant is 2 ft tall and then carefully bend down their plant to 12" with a scrog net. Seems likely to break the main stem or tear at the roots so I'm not ballsy enough to try that. Hopefully this helps!

2000W for 18 hours a day will cost you about $150 a month on average. Your electric company may also charge you things like "delivery fee" or whatever on top of that. I would figure in about $200 a month total after all is said and done and assuming some of that 2000W will run for 24hrs a day.

That is a solid 100% top. I zoomed in and see the clean circular break of the main stalk. You topped correctly. But next time. Wait a few more days and leave a little extra stem to die back and shrink. In some cases. If you plan on low stress training in the future. The main stalk will split down the middle if you pull on the 2 new tops too hard. Also an issue during flower. If heavy flowers aren't supported well. The main stem can split from the weight. So when you top. Leave some extra stem above your nodes. If what I said made sense. Great. If not. Research proper topping and you should see someone explaining it.. good luck ๐Ÿ‘

At this stage in the game it's kind of risky. You'll probably be okay if you clean up dense foliage and keep the airflow high. You'll have to decide if it's worth the risk though. If your area is just going through a ridiculously humid period, I'd chance it. If your area has a normal environment right now, I'd invest in a dehumidifier. You might get away with it 5 or 6 times and then have issues and lose a crop. Is it worth the risk?

Solved

Cannabis_Chris
Cannabis_Chrisanswered grow question 4 years ago
From my reading, it depends. Leaves change colors when they become deprived of nutrients. When you stop feeding your plants in the final weeks of harvest, they are forced to cannablize themselves. As broad vegetation leaves store sugars and nutrients (similar to how we store fat) they release them at the end of flower to keep the plant alive, to make sure the flowers don't die before they can be pollinated. So, when you begin to flush a plant, it will begin to use the stored energy (sugars in their vegetation) to fight to stay alive. That said, like you and me, no two plants are the same. Usain Bolt and I process fat much differently, even though we're both practically the same (he just trains, and I sit on my fat-arse eating chips, waiting like a well primed Inidica for a flush that will never arrive ๐Ÿคช)

It would be totally normal to have 60 percent RH in the jar during curing, if anything that seems a little low. The point of the cure is to slow down the final drying process and allow the for breakdown of chlorophyll (for smoothness) and the preservation of terpenes. I try to cure at the mid 60s, allowing airflow into the jar daily, and finish for long term storage in the low 60s high 50s for RH. I would jar it all, and worst case remove the buds and lay them out for short period if RH spikes too high. If you are careful there should not be any issues, and it's better than having over dried buds. I am sure they will be great after the dry/cure! ๐Ÿ‘

Come across multiple things saying dry ice has is unsafe to smoke as is. and also saying it is significantly less potent when further breaking down. Is it safe to smoke dry ice hash after creating it? if not how do you make it safe? Whats best todo with dry ice hash?

I've made, last year, both dry ice and dry sift, starting from excellent and rich trim. My results and opinion are: Dry ice hash is less sticky, less potent, less flavoured than dry sift. I don't know news about safeness of smoking dry ice hash (it's only trim and COยฒ, how could they harm?) but to me the resin obtained in this way is less enjoyable than dry sift hash, dry sift has a richer spectrum of flavours. Last but not less important is that because of process dry ice extraction too much green matter pollute resin. This year I'll make only 120 microns dry sift hash in the Morrocan way ๐Ÿ˜ Check my Special Kush diary and see my hash.

i feel your light is overpowered in that tentsize...... normally 65-70 percent of the Output is enough for that growspace to my surprise the girls looks quite happy ( out of growing short with short internodes..... so i dont want to make you mad to me, just wondering how many percent are your lights running

@Mrs_Larimar, I been feeling like that has been an issue also but they never really looked like they hated it. when they was young they were a light shade purple I think due to sunburn which may have stunted them.Ive had it on 100% but have manipulated the height as I felt I needed too. Think if I had the power a little lower (especially early on) the plant would have grown taller. But I'm really an amateur as this my 3rd time doing this, 1st with this much light, and don't notice these things til later. Next Time ima take it slower with the light fasho.
