Hi! Super excited for this cup winner!
Thanks for RQS /James/ providing me this amazing Northern Light seeds.
Big thanks for ViparSpectra providing me this amazing XS2000 light.
Northen Light cup winner I can not wait to taste it.
16/9/2021:
Seed is placed in the water and stays there for approx 18 hours.
17/9/2021:
She had been in the water for almost 18 hours. Tested her after several hours just a little push if she sinks. She did so she supposed to be viable.
She wants to grow crazily the tap root is already out so even before gets between the paper towel... crazy 🤣
She's gonna be my bith lol
After all, I placed her between damp paper towel and we just waitin'
😇
19/9/21: A long tap root out she is crazy. Just planted. ;)
Day 4 - 23.09.2021:
Day 4! Here we go! Nicely out I can see a bit burnt may be the edge of the leaves. Migt be some water drops. Planted to the final 3.8L pot.
High humidity over 90% so I hardly water her more spraying...
The soil is still wet.
No ventilation, lamp is on 18/6.
Love this lamp! Quiet, no noise at all and does the job. Currently set to be on 80W out of 240W max power I keep measuring by power meter. Even this way I think she was burnt a bit but nothing serious.
Distance is approx 60 cm from her.
Day 10 - 29/9/2021:
Yes, she is beautiful already. She was a bit burnt I think but quickly "grew it out" lol. Dhe was stucked a bit but now she is back. Here we go dome changes compare to the previous week:
Ventilation is on every 2 hours for 5 min and the ViparSpectra XS2000 is set to be on 50% of the full capacity so 120 W.
Watering is approx 0.04 dl per day and no any fertilization...
Lamp 18/6... temperature is around 26-29 Celsius.... humidity is approx 60%.
Northern light let's go.
Day 15, 4/10/21:
Welcome to the first day of the 3rd week....
Northern Light I have got big expections nice chunky indica leaves.... she will be strong!
Amazing RQS genetics like always ;)
Some changes since last week not only size wise...:
Lamp is set to be on 150W approx 60% of the full power..... enough..... She loves this ViparSpectra XS2000....
So Do I.....
Himidity stays on approx 60%
Ventilation is fine every 2 hours switched on for 5 min....
Watering like 0.06 l per day....
Started some fertilization also with Bat Guano, Biobizz family /before someone ask why I use BioBloom and Top Max in veg just beacuse lol/
And... Epsom salt....
Ratio can be found just scroll down....
And yes, I do it on Tuesday and Saturday except the Epsom just 1x a week the rest then 2x for now.
The first LST has been done basically just bent her.....
I am excited i just wanna smoke it haha
I can't really mention more things as all good I beleive.....
Day 22, 11th of October 2021:
Nice one 👍
Let's say perfect. Grows a bit slower but strong. Another LST performed on her.
Absolutely 👊 💯
Quiet, and cool lady she just does her thing.
Not really much to say rather more about changes since last week:
Lamp back to 125W so approx 40% of the max and the water intake is more a bit so:
Lamp is set to be on 125W approx 40% of the full power.....
Humidity stays on approx 60%
Ventilation switches on in every 2 hours for 5 min....
Watering like 0.08l per day....
Fertilization also with Bat Guano, Biobizz family - BioGrow, BioBloom, TopMax... so these ones 2x a week....
Epsom salt.... 1x a week....
Ratio can be found above.
That's all not really more for now.
Happy Growing wish the best.
Ferenc
Day 31, 20th of October 2021:
Welcome to week 5....
Northen Light seems to be a bit bad girl....
I can spot some nitrogen deficiency or might be magnesium....
Well there is no big problem at all hopefully I can manage to make her greener again lol
I also removed some big fan leaves especially from the bottom she looks smaller this way but personally after LST she is much prettier 😍
Her smell is getting stronger ...
Another week another LST just "tied" the brunches a bit just spread them.
Fertilization remains the same with the same bat guano, epsom salt and Biobizz family - BioGrow, BioBloom, TopMax... 2x a week epsom just once.
Ratio is above... ;)
Lamp is on 150W so approx 60% of the max and it is fine just placed the fan kit in so the temp is lower approx 25 degrees and constantly fresh air goes in and the humidity is lower as well around 50%...
Every 2 hours ventilation is on as well for 2 minutes just to make a better air circulation.
She receives approx 100 ml water a day...
Apart from that little deficiency she is doing great a bit slower but she will be back soon I will fix it ;)
Day 36, 25th of October 2021:
Welcome to the first if the the week 6... ;)
This week is not about LST anymore it is FIMing week that means she has FIMmed on all of her "heads" so like approx 6-8 times....
Northern Light for me looks a bit tiny but little bushy so we will see it is obvious that she does not need Topping at all for her midget style...
There are nice branches but she has got some deficiency.
Hopefully it won't effect on her performance in the future I am so curious about her. It is okay if she won't get large -large but I expect a chunky lady at least :)
Smell is quite strong 😆
I wanna give her several days before the darkness period which is 3 days and the from next week switching to 12/12. She is FIMmed only so it doesn't really stress her to give them much extra time to recover before flowering.
I think it will be the right time to switch on the next week because I can see she really wants to flower 🌼 ☺️ 😅
But for now lamp is still 18 hours on, set to be on 150W (approx 60% of the max) ventilation is on for 10 minutes in every 2 hours but the extraction fan is 18 hours on with the lamp...
Humidity approximately is the same 50% and the temperature as well +/- 1-2 Celsius.
Water intake increased approx 0.12-0.15L per day.
Fertilization is the same Epsom salt once a week, and then 2x a week Biobizz Family included BioGrow, BioBloom, TopMax and of course - Vitalink bat gunao also.
Ratio is above. So that's all let's see 👀
Day 44, 2nd of November 2021:
Hi there.
So She had 2 days of darkness before the lamp was on again and from today it is 12/12.
Big change also is the power: It is now on full power which is 240W so 100% capacity.
Ventilation is different as well under the 12 hours period when the lamp is on it switches 1 hours on and after one hour off mostly to keep the temperature and of course because of fresh air flow. When the lamp is off it switches on in every 2 hours for 15 min at the same time with the extraction fan.
The extraction fan is on 12 hours when the lamp is, and then it switches on in every 2 hours for 30 min.
That's all a bit more water for her from today also. Humidity quite the same, temperature as well.
Fertilization changed, the BioBizz family raised up to be 2ml/L each so it is like 2ml/L of BioGrow, 2ml/L of BioBloom, 2ml/L of TopMax... see the ratio above.
Previously it was just 1ml per liter each.
The schedule of the fertilization has not changed happnes 2x a week except epsom salt just 1x a week.
Not much to mention as it just started.
Day 51, 9th of November 2021:
Hi there! Here we go the second week of flowering. This is the time really not much to say apart from the strech... But she did not strech a lot neither lol....
Not much changed maximum a bit more water intake for her a bit raised.
I just post the current settings and facts basically it is just the same like last week when it started.
ViparSpectra XS2000 is on full power which is 240W so 100% capacity.
Ventilation is different as well under the 12 hours period when the lamp is on it switches 1 hours on and after one hour off mostly to keep the temperature and of course because of fresh air flow. Fertilization remains the same since last week, the BioBizz family raised up to be 2ml/L each so it is like 2ml/L of BioGrow, 2ml/L of BioBloom, 2ml/L of TopMax... see the ratio above.
The schedule of the fertilization has not changed happnes 2x a week except epsom salt just 1x a week.
Day 59, 17th of November 2021:
Little bonsai in the big pot lol.
I like the way she "moves"...
Light colour but nice plant and the pistils are there! So it seems to be okay :)

Day 64, 22nd of November 2021:
Little deficiency can be detected but anyways it seems to be the same to me since the beggining only difference is that now she has more deficiencies lol
Apart from that she is a proper nice bonsai girl i love the way she looks very pretty. Half way tho let's say and see the outcome ;)

Day 71, 29th of November 2021:
Actually she became a bonsai lady. A little zinc deficiency but all good anyways. She remains cute for me and enjoy growing her till she is cut... soon actually i guess 3 weeks to go ;)
The only changes I made is the ventilation and the extraction fan is off at the same time with the lamp so only switches on when the lamp does.
So this is the set up and and operation schedule now:
ViparSpectra XS2000 is on full power which is 240W so 100% capacity.
Ventilation: As I mentioned it is off when the lamp is off so 12 hours. When the lamp is on it switches on in every hour and off for one hour.
The extraction fan is on 12 hours when the lamp is, and then it takes a rest with the lap together lol ;)
Watering pretty much remains the same. Humidity quite is approx 50%, temperature as well approx 26-27 Celsius.
