SUMMARY: Seed germinated/sprouted on 29/12/2020. I've been keeping the medium moist by watering at least once per day but not to runoff up to Day 3 when I watered to runoff but the seedling is not looking happy at all. She's very small and compact and the nodes are stacking as tight as possible so I will be raising the light.
I started nutes on Day 4 from sprout. I am using the Drain-To-Waste Nutrient Schedule from GWE (growweedeasy.com) which is exactly the same as the older Coco Coir Nutrient Schedule on GWE that I used for my first grow.

DAY 1
-------
Tuesday 29th December 10:40
The Amnesia has sprouted and is about 2cm tall wearing its shell for a hat! I gave it 60-70 squirts of rainwater and calmag to keep the coco moist. My humidifier appears to be having issues as it is not producing the same amount of moisture. At highest setting it appears to be producing the same level as the lowest and the RH in the tent has plummeted from 80%+ to around 40% and so I have placed plastic cups over the seedling to increase humidity (sprayed inside of cups first).
Tuesday 29th December 20:15
Turns out the humidifier is fine and it's me having issues on account of me being a dumbass. The power cable was getting wedged inbetween the water tank.and base unit preventing it from being seated properly thus not being able to work properly. I gave the Amnesia seedling 60 squirts (20-30ml) around the area of the seedling. The plastic cup has made a noticeable difference as the seedling has flourished a little since this morning.
DAY 2
-------
Wednesday 30th December 14:00
I gave the Amnesia 100ml of rainwater and calmag, [30Β°C/60%]
DAY 3
-------
Thursday 31st December 13:00
I pH'd some rainwater to 6.3. Wanted 6.0 but after 30 FUCKING MINUTES of fucking around I had to settle for 6.3 (pH pen is shit). I gave the Amnesia 70 squirts of rainwater and calmag to keep the surrounding coco damp.
Thursday 31st December 21:30
I was already concerned that I might be giving insufficient water for optimal growth at this stage and after watching some vids on YouTube today I decided I should give more water. I gave roughly 200-300ml gently poured and I actually got roughly 50-100ml runoff (didnt measure). Mr Canucks on YT advises not giving enough water during germination and seedling stage stunts root development and therefore stunts growth and so I thought I'd best be on the safe side.
DAY 4
-------
Friday 1st January 13:45
I gave it its first lot of nutes today, 300ml which produced roughly 200ml runoff so going have to ease that off to 200ml input moving forward. [25Β°C/60%]
DAY 5
-------
Saturday 2nd January 13:00
The coco was still looking a little damp (darkened colour) however I gave it 200ml of water/calmag which produced 100ml runoff. [25Β°C/60%]
DAY 6
-------
Sunday 3rd January 13:00
I gave 150ml of week 1 nutes which produced 100ml runoff. [24Β°C/74%]
DAY 7
-------
Monday 4th January 13:30
I mixed 5L of week 1 and 5L of week 2 nutes and pH'd them to 6.1-6.2. I gave 150ml rainwater/calmag which produced 50ml of runoff (33%). [25Β°C/53%]
@rockbo47, I watched from seed to stoned on YouTube he did a few himself and they came out good from seed to harvest didn't yield particularly well but the end product looked good, good luck to ya I be keeping an eye on ur feed im intrigued to see how u get on in the solo cup might be something I might try myself π
Appreciate the reply happy growing mate
@Syrunz, Thanks man, yeah she's not doing bad is she. This is just an experiment and I plan to just let her do her thing in the solo cup throughout the entire grow. I MAY defoliate a little but if I can help it I plan to leave her be and just feed her. If I can get one nice dense cola I'll be stoked!
The plants look great, healthy π Thanks for all the nutrient info, I've been using water solubles and am thinking of switching to liquid products. π
@rockbo47, Agreed, I had the same difficulty finding info but this site has helped with that. I find the nutrient, water, timing combo so strain/environment specific that every new grow can be a challenge π Good Luck!
@Grisly, Thanks for the comment, glad to hear people can make use of my efforts that's why I'm documenting it so thoroughly and it is quite time consuming. When I did my first grow I couldn't find enough info on how much water to give when seedlings, when exactly to start nutes etc so figured I would create a good frame of reference. I only used liquid nutes as I could not get hold of any dry amendments but I'm comfortable with the liquid nutes now.
