Im growing in a super soil called "grow dirt", and just watering with filtered water. Ive put my seeds into a seed soak with some "green supreme"(another high powered organics product) for 18 hours and then planted into seedling pots using Grow Dirt super starter. The plan is to transplant to 3 gallon fabric pots for vege, then to 7 gallon fabric pots about a week or so before flipping the lights to flower. These are regular seeds, so I will need to sex the plants when they start to show signs of flowering, and separate the males. The seed in the middle was the first one to break the soil. I'm super impressed at how fast these seeds germinated. It was an 18 hour seed soak, and 3 days in soil, and we have lift off. All five of my babies have popped through the soil by day 5 in soil, so got to be happy about that. I've got my cheapy blurple 100w LED on them at the moment, in my bedroom wardrobe(still waiting to harvest what's in my tent). It has been sitting about 50cm above them, but I've raised them to be at 40cm. I did have a bit of a fuck up with the timer on the lights last night, and these little ones ended up getting an extra 3 hours of light(so 21/3, instead of 18/6). 😐 hoping that hasn't caused them too much stress, but they're looking pretty happy. I had to go away for a couple of days, and leave my seedlings to fend for themselves. I was a little concerned about them drying out and dying, so gave them a decent water, and put the humidity dome on with the two holes on top half open. They were mostly fine, and all still had a bit moister in the soil. I think one of the plants actually suffered from a little over watering. The one with the leaves angling down, and a few brown/yellow spots on the leaves. Being a rookie grower, this is what I think it is, but not completely confident on my diagnosis. The rest of the plants look super happy. The one in the middle seems to be growing the fastest, it will be interesting to see if this plant ends up having more vigor than the rest. I have been giving them a 3-5 hours a day of a bit of light airflow from an old inline fan. Its a very light breeze just to incourge the plant to have better anchoridge. Its not the most ideal grow space in my wardrobe, but it will have to do until I can free up the tent.

Currently my lights are on a 18/6 schedule, from 6am, until 12am. I want to change their light cycle to start at 4pm and turn off at 10am, so the heat of the light balances the chill of the night. Whats the best way to do this, without triggering flowering, or stressing them.

What I would probably do is turn the lights on for 24hrs for a few days . Then switch the lights to the 4 to 10 cycle . That's just what I would do I'm sure others with more experience will know better. I don't think you will trigger flowering as they require at least 12hrs of darkness. Except autos of course.
