Struggling with the acidity of Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil. Multiple ph tests coming out to 5.0ph in the soil add that to 5.8ph of the distilled water = multiple problems besides the soil being too hot for these babies. So we have stunting, lockout, burn, calmag def of various degrees depending on the plant. Transplanted a little too late from the cups which i know autos hate at day 15, day 13 for the alien tech since its a little younger. The roots looked pretty good on everything and they all started growing as soon as transplanted. I topped with dolamite lime (2 tbs for autos, 3 for photos) and some great white 1/2 teaspoon in two gallons of phed ro mixed with well water. The ph in the soil shot up to 8.5ph for three or four days. Had me freaking out that they sent me the wrong lime. I pulled one of the autos out, remixed the soil and realized that the fox farm is draining like crap even with added perlight so i added even more and repotted. The lime was sitting top mid and mid to bottom was dry. Once i remixed the soil the ph then started to level out to around 6.6. Instead of repotting the rest i flushed with unsulfered organic blackstrap molasses 2 teaspoons a gallon of ro mixed with well water that is around 200 ppms that ends up around 120 pmms mixed before the molasses was added. Phed it to 6.5 and watered until a good run off. The autos were put in fox farms i flushed before initial transplant to get the nutes down however run off was saying they were still in 1200 ish ppms. They all have issues and the alien tech and acid are growing bushy but not taller. All the autos and the fast fem started growing up again. The ph is coming around, the spread of deficiencies has stopped. So after a few days i fimmed and topped the photos, and lst everything day 25, 23. Definitely have some autos going early which caused a phosphorous issue in the creme de la chem but that seems to have stopped as well. Will probably do another water til a good runoff again. Topping was harder than i thought on the photos. Lst went well i think. They seem to be bouncing back and today when lsting the pure photos i see they were getting a little more height. These are gonna be short short short but ill just be happy if they survive lol.
