I am running 3 strains this grow and bringing 4 girls to flower. I haven't decided which strain will have 2 plants, I will wait and let them tell me who is special 😁. I harvested a Michelangelo in November and it is amazing. I had to pop more seeds immediately. Stinks of orange peels and rubber, the high is great for relaxation and chilling out. Hopefully I will get close to the same pheno. I will be looking for a shorter plant with larger fan leaves. Bakers Delight I ran last year and instantly became a favorite. It has a beautiful lemon, doughy smell. The high is very relaxing and too much will put me on my ass. Lineage: Alien Rock Candy X SFV OG BX No breeder info about the strain, but I've had Alien Rock Candy a couple times and it is 1 of my top 3 smokes, so I was stoked to see this cross. I am not completely sure what I will get from this. I know it won't be the same Alien Rock Candy I remember, but I love OG Kush too, so the combination should be bomb. MICHELANGELO PLATINUM TANGIE X BLUEBERRY COOKIES Michelangelo is an easy plant to grow indoors, outdoors or in greenhouse environments. She produces stout, sturdy plants with tight inter-nodal spacing and strong branching. She handles stress and abuse very well and recovers quickly from mistakes and problems. Michelangelo grows well topped and spread out into a bush or into a trellis. Be prepared for intense orange candy aromas and a delightful head high. Flowering Time: 56-63 Days Yield: Heavy Harvests Potency: 25-30% THC-A Effects: Mellow Head Buzz, Chill, Relaxed, Calm, Social and Friendly Aroma and Flavor: Sour Oranges and Sweet Tarts Bakers Delight: This potent strain with dank sweet sorbet aromas, is a blend of Cookies and Sorbet. This very easy to grow variety offers amazing yields. Suitable for indoors, outdoors and greenhouse environments, finishing in around 8-9 weeks. This plant has a cookies appearance and loves to grow on the tall. Perfect for calming but also helps to stay focus. They are coming along ok. I like the root growth, but they are stressed. I made a mistake and didn't turn my exhaust fan on one day. The temp was up to 95F (35C) and my humidity has been low. I've been using a spray bottle every few hours, but it isn't that effective and my mister is in my dry room 😱. Tomorrow I will harvest my flower tent and move them to a better environment where they will get their own reservoirs, better air flow, higher humidity, and a lot more love 😁! EC .6-.7 PH 5.7-6.2 Edit later in day: Moved them into my veg tent today. I couldn't live with them being so stressed, so I moved the drying plants into a closet. Hopefully I can move the mister in and get the humidity a little higher. Lineage: Alien Rock Candy X SFV OG BX (Regular Seeds) No breeder info about the strain, but I've had Alien Rock Candy a couple times and it is 1 of my top 3 smokes, so I was stoked to see this cross. I've been trying a few different things to get my humidity up, but I am failing. In 2-3 days I should be able to move my mister/humidifier then I hope take off! 🚀🚀🚀 During day 3 or 4 of this week, I added some more feed to bring the EC up to .8-.9 (.75ml/gal Grow, micro, and magnifical). PH has been fairly stable between 5.6-6.0. Every couple of days I reintroduce some hydroguard to the roots through either a top feed or directly to the roots. I normally top in the next couple days, but I am going to hold off until I get get the humidity up.... I don't want to stress them TOO much. Next weeks plan: Raise humidity HST - Top, bend arms and nodes so they knot up Feed great white Maybe a reservoir change - I've been trying to limit these as I found the plants are happier with less reservoir changes earlier. Michelangelo: 1 plant never got her roots going out of the bottom of the net cup. I have been top feeding her and occasionally soaking the bottom of the net cup to try and promote root growth down, but she is saying "not today my man, not today." She will be the first one I cull! Bakers Delight: 1 topped itself? The other looks pretty good. As I said earlier, once I get my humidity in a better range, I will start beating them up more. ARC x SFV OG: 1 was slow getting her roots going, but the other 3 look good. These are regular seeds, so hopefully the best looking ones don't have balls. Overall an easy week with some minor issues. I had a power outage for 2 hours, so I hung a lantern in my tent. Hopefully the plants thought it was only a cloudy morning 😁. I was able to finally get my humidity up (40-50%). 1 morning I turned my fan off to experiment and the humidity was 90%+ and the plants looked like I foliar fed them, so they got rain and clouds 😆. I THINK I have my environment figured out now only to move them into my flower tent soon...... I was able to top 1 ARC and the Michelangelo. The Bakers Delight and the rest of the ARC will get topped today before lights out and treated with Trifecta Crop Control. I don't see any pests, but it is always good to do as a preventative. All the plants received some more feed, to include liquid karma and great white. This increased the EC to .8/9 from .7/.8. The PH has been stable 5.7-6.1. I had to add PH up once this week, but since I increased the feed, the PH has looked much better. I will increase the EC to 1-1.1 when I do reservoir changes this week. Soon the Rock Candy Kush (ARC x SFV OG) will show their sex. I want to separate the plants in the next couple days because the roots are starting to get tangled. Until next week 👊 Thanks for stopping by!! 🚀🚀

All plants got topped, reservoir changes, and treated with Trifecta Crop Control this week. I will increase the feed on all the plants. The PPMs have been dropping and PH slowly rising. EC 1.15-1.25 (580-620 PPM) PH 5.8-6.1 My goal was to have these in flower by today (Feb 14th ❤️❤️) so I can fit 1 more grow in before the end of June. They aren't quite ready yet, so I will give them another 2 days and them flip them to 12-12. I wanted to share something I thought was interesting. I left the small Rock Candy Kush plant in my veg tent for 5 days with the lights out and no oxygen going to its' reservoir. What surprised me the most was the roots looked white as hell. I thought they would be a breeding ground for root rot and other crap, but nope. The top part of the roots are brown, but that's because they are dried from not having the water splash up. My reservoir is far from sterile too.. I used liquid karma a few days before the lights out. So what I learned from this is, if my power goes out, a backup/battery operated pump isn't needed as the other environmental concerns are bigger issues (e.g., no lights, no exhaust fan). Rock Candy Kush (Alien Rock Candy x SFV OG Bx) - I am still rocking 3 plants. They are starting to show their sex, but it is still a little early for me to be sure. I have 1 in a separate reservoir because I had a hunch it was a male even though it isn't as tall as the others, but I think (hopefully) I am wrong and it is a female. Michelangelo - She is knotting up good. She is probably the hungriest in the bunch and I will increase the EC to 1.3-1.4 and see what happens. Bakers Delight - I still have 2 plants as I am waiting to be sure that I have 2 Rock Candy Kush females. The plant on the right topped itself early and seems to be fasciated (like the golden goat I grew earlier this year). 1 of the arms is flat instead of round. The left plant is looking a little sad, but she is growing well. I think she likes the tent a little cooler, so I made some adjustments and reduced the temps from 81-83F to 76-79F. I might need to adjust the airstones or add another pump as it looks like this reservoir isn't getting as much airflow as I like and I can see the roots coming out of the net cup look dry. Thanks for stopping by!! 🚀🚀

It was a little over 2 weeks since my last reservoir change. All reservoirs got changed yesterday (F6). EC 1.2-1.3 PH 5.7-6.2 I used mostly veg nutrients during week 1 and will continue to do so for the next couple days. They still have a large stretch in front of them. My NPK ratio is 2-1-2 with the micros added in, so the feed should be fine this week and I will transition to a more P/K based feed when I top the reservoirs off during the week. I didn't use liquid karma on this change. I will add it to the reservoir after the defoliation at the end of week 2/early week 3 flower. Michelangelo - Plat Tangie x Blueberry Cookies by Irie Genetics 11" Tall. 24" from light EC 1.3 and seems to be slightly dropping. Lots of branching, tight node spacing, and muscles! 💪 Baker's Delight - Cookies x Sorbet by DNA 16 and 13" tall 19" from light EC 1.3 The plant on the right who was fasciated seemed to top itself again and the new growth tips aren't fasciated. She must have heard me talk shit about her last week and sorted herself out. The left plant was sad last week, but has much more life and is perking up as I got the temps down and controlled the humidity better. Rock Candy Kush - Alien Rock Candy x SFV OG Bx by MotaRebel Genetics 17", 11", 12" tall 23" from light EC 1.3 I am keeping my fingers crossed that the tall plant is a female. It has huge fan leaves and thick stems. Thanks for stopping by!! 🚀🚀

I started the week feeding an NPK ratio of 2-1-2. The Michelangelo started to show some bent tips, so I immediately started to add a more P/K based feed. I am going to try a 1-1-2 NPK ratio for the rest of flower. They all seem pretty stable at around EC 1.3 (PPMs ranging from 630-670) and PH 5.7-6.1. I will add Liquid Karma next week (week 3). Kelp, seabird poop, and fish meal, yum. I had to add a carbon filter to the tent as they started to get stinky. I picked up the AC Infinity carbon filter. I used the Vivosun before and while it worked great for about 2 years, it was clogged towards the end of my last grow. I didn't realize how restricted the airflow was until I replaced the filter. I also grabbed a new AC Infinity 3 x 3 Tent as my veg tent (really cheap in the US right now, under 100). While I will sing the praise of the Vivosun carbon filter, the 2 x 4 Vivosun tent had a lot of light leaks at the zipper. Michelangelo - Plat Tangie x Blueberry Cookies by Irie Genetics Defoliated F10. I normally try and wait until F13-16, but there was transpiration? (water on other fan leaves) so I wanted to thin her out slightly. Looks like I will have a dozen or so tops. Bakers Delight - Cookies x Sorbet by DNA I still have 2. I have to kill the small 1 I think. It is not a problem now, but I don't know if that corner will be good for it + they are drinking much more than the other plants. The roots aren't tangled, so I have a couple more days before I have to make my final decision. Rock Candy Kush - Alien Rock Candy x SFV Bx by Motarebel I did my happy dance this morning. I am 99% sure I have 2 females. They were taking forever to show their sex. I culled the large male plant 2 days ago. She was huge, thick stems, beautiful leaves. It leads me to believe there are some female gems in these genetics. Luckily I have another pack and maybe that 1 I will clone. Thanks for stopping by!! 🚀🚀

Hello everyone! Great week and hopefully they are done with the bulk of the stretching. I had to raise the Michelangelo as the Baker's Delight is winning the stretchy stretch award. The Bakers put on 10+ inches this week. She is showing some burnt tips too. I am not sure if it is an overfeed or she was too close to the light (16-18") or maybe both. All plants are getting the same feed and staying between 650-700 PPMs (EC 1.3-1.4). NPK ratio is 1-1-2. All plants got treated with Trifecta Crop Control as a preventative after the defoliations. I tried not to spray the tops and focus on the stems and where I made cuts. Not a whole lot done this week, just normal maintenance. I removed some fan leaves to clean up the middle and open up some bud sites. I don't like to remove too many leaves at once, so for the rest of the grow I will remove a couple leaves every so often to keep the canopy open and air flowing. Still feeding them an NPK ratio of 1-1-2... probably closer to 1- 1.1-2.1 now. The Liquid karma makes the roots nasty looking, but the plants seem to respond pretty well when I use it. All the plants were fed about the same 640-680 PPM (EC 1.3). Michelangelo seems to be the heaviest eater, so she is getting slightly more bloom booster than the others. Bakers Delight - Cookies x Sorbet DNA Genetics 33-36" Tall - Another 6-8" this week. Be done stretching, you are already super close to the light (16-18"). I moved her so she isn't directly under the light.. hopefully she won't get too burnt up. Tent is starting to get some serious stink. Seems to be a slight overfeed at EC 1.3, so I am topping the reservoirs off with 50% feed. Not much more time left, probably 3-4 weeks, which is good because my plants in the veg tent will be ready to go very soon. Bakers Delight - Looks like a Phosphorus or maybe calcium? (both!?) issue on the 1 Bakers Delight. The leaves that are damaged are VERY close to the light over the Rock Candy Kush (8"-14"), so I believe the light stress is a big contributing factor. Today I did a reservoir change, decreased the cal-mag and micro slightly and increased the bloom and P/K booster. EC 1.2 PH 5.9 7.5ml/gal bloom, 5ml/gal astroflower, 4.5ml/gal cal-mag, 4ml/gal micro, hydroguard. Hopefully the PH won't be too crazy. Smells sour as all hell with hints of earthiness. Seems much stankier than the last Bakers Delight I grew. Michelangelo - Stacking and plumping up beautifully. Smells of oranges and fruit. It is a bit sweeter than my last Michelangelo. This 1 has seems more tangerine than orange peel funk. Rock Candy Kush - Beautiful musk... I don't know how else to describe the smell so far, but I love the smell. I keep going back to do stem rubs and smell my fingers lol. There is spice, lemon, campfire, and sticky dankness. I was messing with her the other day and my whole arm was sticky 😍. Thankfully I have 10 more seeds of this strain and I am going to do a pheno hunt and keep a mother next year as long as I love the smoke. 🚀🚀Until next week. Thanks for stopping by! 🚀🚀

Finishing up in 2-3 weeks. Feeding around 1.15-1.3.. Started the Bakers and Michelangelo at 570-590 PPMs and EC was rising (Bakers EC rose much faster), so I have been topping the reservoirs off with some feed to try keep the EC under 1.3. The Rock Candy Kush hasn't gotten a change in almost 2 weeks, so they are overdue for a change. Bakers Delight - Cookies x Sorbet by DNA The plant on the left seems to be about 5-7 days behind the taller plant. Hopefully I can hold off the harvest long enough to let the neglected corner plant ripen up. 2 plants in one 4-gallon reservoir, fun times... 😅. I plan to take these down in 10-14 days. I have some amber trichomes on the Michelangelo and the other plants are still mostly cloudy. Reduced the feed to about EC 1.1 (530-570 PPMs). Added some epsom salt (25-40) PPM. PH 5.7-6.3. This week I will keep the EC around 1-1.1 and at the end of the week F62/63 I will reduce the feed to EC .7-.8, and bring it down to .4-.6 before harvest. I don't do a full flush on my plants at the end because I don't think it does anything to improve the quality of smoke. Only causes more reservoir changes lol. I do run 1 gallon of PH'd water + hydroguard through the roots after each res change, so maybe that helps. It's all about drying them properly and keeping em fed! I added some pictures of the Baker's Delight leaves. I will remove the leaves soon. I figure they provide some shading to the lower buds. I knew I was going to have some issues keeping 5 plants, but at least the buds aren't too damaged being so close to the light. 🚀🚀Until next week. Thanks for stopping by! 🚀🚀

Updating a day early this week. Today is F62. Some amber, still a lot of cloudy and it looks like they are still packing on some weight. I plan to harvest them in about 6 or 7 days. Reduced the feed to EC .8, hit them with some epsom salts. Humidity has been pretty steady at 50%, trying to reduce it but the dehumidifier is working overtime. They don't need a lot of work now, just trying to keep the environment in check. Cheers!🚀🚀

F69 today. Harvest is right around the corner. Next update will be in 3-4 weeks after a dry and some cure time. Started the week with the PPMs right around 400 (EC .8) and now they are about 300. The Michelangelo was drinking a lot, probably because the EC was low. She plumped up a good amount over the last few days. that is the main reason why I am waiting to harvest. Luckily the Bakers Delight is still hanging on. Some buds will be a little crispy, but overall she is managing all my stress. The back Rock Candy Kush is noticeably frostier than the front pheno. Can't wait for those 2 plants especially. Next journal I am running a couple Hazes for the summer. Thanks for following along! 🚀👊👍 Rock Candy Kush - (Alien Rock Candy x SFV OG Bx) Motarebel genetics Michelangelo - (Plat GSC x Blueberry Cookies) Irie Genetics Bakers Delight - (Cookies x Sorbet) DNA Genetics

Rock Candy Kush - Motarebel Genetics. Alien Rock Candy x SFV OG Bx Easily a top 3 strain I have ever grown. The yield wasn't very good, but that was probably due to some grower error (raised my lights because I was burning a different plant). I have another 10 seeds, so next year I will be doing a small preservation run, so hopefully I get a couple nice males and females out of the 10. Smell: Lemon, gassy, earthy, and musky. Taste: A lot like it smells, but add in a some pine and spice on the exhale. Effects: Happy, uplifting, a little face smacky, and you can lose time easily. It happened a couple times where I am browsing a forum and notice 15 minutes have gone by and I still have the pipe in my hand with half a bowl left lol.

As I mentioned above, this shit is bomb. I need to do a preservation run so I don't lose these genetics as this plant works very well for me. Motarebel has an SFV OG Bx that I may check out if I can find the seeds, but until then this will have to do. All the ramble, damn Rock Candy Kush... lol. Yield wasn't good, especially compared to the other side of the tent. 12 ounces on the left to 4 ounces on the right, same lights. It was our first date though, so we are still learning each other. I could have trained them a little better to expose some bottom bud sites and the buds weren't extremely dense, so light distance for sure. I still hit my goal of a pound in the 4 x 4, nothing special, but it will do. I didn't do a traditional flush. I did my last reservoir change about 2.5-3 weeks before harvest. I kept the EC around .8-1.0 for the last 10 days then down to .5-.7 for the last couple. I don't notice a difference and I never really have between not flushing and when I used to flush. If anything my grows are much smellier than before. It was already burning pretty white before I even started the cure.. not perfect, but very good and will only get better. Adding a mister and dialing my dry area has improved my bud a lot. Thanks for following along. I will probably hold off on updating the Michelangelo harvest as I haven't really sampled it much.. I've been stuck on this strain.

This is the 2nd time I ran Bakers Delight as I like the effects and it has a very unique and strong smell. Smell: Sweet, sour, earthy and acrid/pungent. The smell starts off as sweet, but the smell gets acrid and sour. It makes my nose hairs crawl. Taste: Sweet and earthy. Effects: Definitely a night time smoke. Super relaxing. Certain cookie strains tend to put me to sleep, and this is 1 of those. If I smoke it during the day, it is an extremely lazy day. Coffee and redbull needed for sure.

I had 2 plants in a 4 gallon DWC cooler. 1 plant just kept getting taller, she got about 1ft+ more than the other plant in the same reservoir. She topped her self a couple times, but she was growing so vigorous, I couldn't kill her. The tall plant reminded me of the pheno I grew last time, only a bit stinkier. The smaller plant wasn't the happiest in the corner, but she still gave me 45 grams of good bud + a bunch of trim. I probably won't do 2 plants in 1 smaller reservoir again as it held me back from being able to train the taller plant and dial the nutrient in better. I got 12 grams of kief from all the plants. I may have had some left over from the Raphaels I harvested a couple months ago, so I probably got about 10 grams from the whole harvest. I really enjoy the effects of this strain and 6 zips of it will last a long time as it is my go to night time strain if I want to sleep hard. Thanks again for stopping by!

I'm a firm subscriber to the "talk shit about her and she'll sort herself" gardening method. Worked wonders for my Critical Kush 🤣

@Oozle, I love sampling new strains too! I've never come across Rock Candy - I'll keep my eyes peeled!

@StunFlower, I've never tried it... I will see if any dispensaries near me have it. I love trying new strains. I know what you mean about wanting to do a plant justice... All theses strains are some of my favorites, so I am paying very close attention to them lol. Alien Rock Candy was my favorite strain I ever bought, so when I saw it crossed with a very strong OG, I had to grow out the Rock Candy Kush.

@Oozle, Looks like you'll have a pretty strong herd after the cull - your ladies are looking great 😍 I have 'high' hopes for the Pink Kush. Being one of my favourite smokes, I really want to her justice.

So interesting your Bakers Delight is fasciated too. Oh, mother nature 🌅
Oozle
Oozlecommented4 years ago
@StunFlower, i think only because it gets super dense the way the bud forms, not because it is genetically weaker. If i were confident I could keep my humidity around 40% or less the last couple weeks I wouldn't be as worried.

StunFlowercommented4 years ago
@Oozle, Buds on fan leaves! That's wild. Did not know that about kelp. RE: the fasciated plant - it's more susceptible to bud rot?
Oozle
Oozlecommented4 years ago
@StunFlower, It has to be something with my environment/feed that brings out some of these weird "mutations." Could be how rough I am with them early too.. I've gotten buds on fan leaves several different grows and strains now. I attribute that to the liquid karma... kelp supposedly makes that happen. I am hoping I don't have to bring this 1 to flower as it is a big potential for bud rot.

Looks like all is growing quite good in your hood! Nice that the Rock Candy turned out to be the fairer sex ♀️ Are you going to grow both of them out?
Oozle
Oozlecommented4 years ago
@StunFlower, Thanks. I thought maybe they were growing a little slow, maybe lower temps, but they look healthy. Yes, I was hoping for 2 Rock Candies, 1 Bakers, and 1 Michelangelo. The non-feminized seeds are always a pain in the ass. I like to pop 5-6 and hope to get 2 females. There are some really interesting stuff that is only available as regular seeds.

The crew is looking great! That Baker's sure is a stretchy beast! Funny you mention her burnt tips on her as I have a bit of that going on with my Pink Kush as well 🤔 All the best shoe-horning in that extra plant 🤞

@StunFlower, no, but I wussed out and didn't do it lol. I set the timer, but I just couldn't do it. I will have to test it on a smaller grow. I've been told it is a practice done regularly by commercial growers to pack on weight and help the plants finish faster. It makes sense I guess. More light = more energy. There isn't enough time for the plants to reveg and at this stage if there were any intersex traits, there isn't enough time for pollen to actually do much. But I couldn't do it lol. Today will be the last day and then 24 hours of darkness!
StunFlower
StunFlowercommented4 years ago
@Oozle, Intriguing. I've heard of the darkness period prior to harvest but not the boost of light before hand. I'm keen to see the results. You haven't done this before, have you?
Oozle
Oozlecommented4 years ago
@StunFlower, thanks bud. Giving them a 1-2 days of 18/6 then 24-36 hours of darkness. The extra light is supposed to help them finish quicker and bulk up. we will see. Figure if they look bad or freak out I can just put them to sleep and chop em. Also easier to keep humidity down with the lights on haha.

Your garden is looking wonderful 😍 I didn't realize you had 2 plants in one rez - that cooler must be packed with roots! Wild how much taller the one Bakers plant is.
StunFlower
StunFlowercommented4 years ago
@Oozle, Wow! That's a heap o roots! These plants can be so full surprises. Growing is never boring that's for sure.
Oozle
Oozlecommented4 years ago
@StunFlower, Thanks bud! I added 2 pics of the roots. I think I needed a little more air in the res for 2 plants in 1 reservoir... the roots are a little dark, but they seem ok. The tall Bakers topped itself a couple times and had a little fasciation stuff going on that got fixed when it topped itself again, very weird plant. I think I popped off some ball sacks in week 3-4 too, but I haven't seen anymore. I guess I will find out if I got all the pollen sacs if I find seeds when I harvest lol.

Wow I'm surpised to see Erie Genetics finally listed here. Do they send testers for journals n pics?

@GYOweed, I don't know. I'm not a tester, just growing my own. I know he was looking for testers a few months ago, but testing isn't something that interests me at this time, so I didn't follow up.

Oozle
Oozlecommented4 years ago
@StunFlower, ha yea, I like some variety, but finally found some strains I want to run again. Humidity is still low, but at least they are getting some air exchange now too. I was probably just as stressed as the plants about their living situation lol.
the end.
