Hello. I've started Purple Paralysis by Cream of the Crop. I started 5 seeds, 1 didn't pop open, 1 rotted in the soil, 1 came up with no first leaves. 2 came up with weird first leaves. It looked like something had nibbled on them. I couldn't think of what might have done that. I put some pyrethrin powder around the stems just in case. With the rub test I can smell a bit of lavender and hash at this early age. Lavender x Power Plant Known for its amazing coloration and immobilizing effects Sativa Dom Feminized 9-10 weeks Yield- Medium to High Height - Medium THC 22+ Bug and Mold Resistant Flavor - Spicy / Hint of Lavender Grow Indoor or Outdoor

Hello. The plant are looking good and are a couple of inches taller. One of the plants already has a 9 fingered leaf. 13 fingers is the biggest leaf I've grown indoors but I've seen 15 on a friends outdoor plant. These plants have thick stocks for their age. The leaves are wider more like a indica. The branches are strong. With the rub test I can smell a hint of lavender. There is already lots of color on the leaf stems and stock. >My main grow room has 1 week and a couple of dark days to go before harvest. Then there is the clean up. Wash the table, reservoir and pots, wipe down the room and equipment, mix medium and nutrient solution and transplant the clones and seedlings into the next stage. See ya next week. Good Luck. Chuck.

Hello. I purchased these seeds through Sensible Seeds. They were very helpful and upgraded my stealth packaging at no charge because the Canadian boarder security is very strong and Sensible Seeds wanted me to get my seeds. They came without the seed co. packaging, but I got my seeds. I guess the government only will allow local seeds they can get tax on and try to stop all other cannabis seeds from entering Canada. I also bought Shark Shock but I got a email when Sensible Seeds got my money, they stating they shouldn't have sold me the shark shock because they were sold out they even checked around to other seed banks with no success and said I could get any other seeds at the same price. I did a bit of research and thought I would ask for a more expensive seed package, The worst they could is say no, so I asked for the Dos Si Dos #33 by Barney and they O.K.ed it. They were very helpful and I recommend them. The plants have grown a few inches and are doing good and are waiting to get in the main grow room. It will be a few weeks yet with all I have to do. Later Chuck.

Hello. I've had a harvest last week and I've added some pictures of the other plants I have harvested in the main grow room. Amnesia lemon Sisters and LSD. >I got the plants in to the main grow room and will veg for 2, maybe 3 weeks, we'll see. They are doing good. They aren't growing too fast so I haven't topped them yet. The branch's look like they can hold some weight for flowering and are growing close to the stock. There is a lot of color in the stock and leaf stems already. Everything is going good. Till next week. Chuck.

Hello. The Purple Paralysis Plants are in the main grow room now and are starting to take off. I thought it best to top them before they take over. They will slow down their growth with 2 tops on each plant. I will probably switch to flowering next week and I take clippings for clones just before I switch to 12.5 hours of light and 11.5 hours of dark. >Topping- In the pictures I have used some sulphur on the cut part. The sulphur will stop the sap (or plant blood) from flowing down the stem. It also has antiseptic and antifungal properties. Use for all your plant cuts. I spilled a bit on the bottom leaves and in a few weeks I'll see it and the first thought that goes through my mind is "oh no, powder mildew" till I remember "oh yeah, sulphur. It gets me almost every time even though I tell myself to remember. : ) Don't get any on your buds. It will taste like you are smoking match heads. : ( >Old Sensi Seeds Catalog- These old seed catalogs are 1995 and 2003. The 1995 catalog had 20 strains + ruderals skunk. In 2003 they 35 strains + ruderals skunk and ruderals indica. And you can see the style change between he two. Till next week. Chuck.

Hello. I've decided to veg a little longer. Another week should do. The plants and root balls are still a little too small for a average yield. I was in the grow room today doing some trimming. >Clones- You can see, I like too set up the clippings I will take next week when I switch to 12/12. If you would to take a up close look at how I make clippings and clones please check out my LSD diary, the last week of veg and the first 2 weeks of flowering. >HST- I was training the plants today. Taking of a lot of fan leaves and lower (I call) sucker branches to stimulate new growth and make the plant switch the photosynthesis to the smaller leaves which is stressful for the plant. I will take clones next week then I normally won't cut the plant again until the 2nd or 3rd week of flowering. I like the plants to recover and go fully into flowering before I do a final clipping and pruning. Until next week. Chuck.

Hello I've taken clones of everything and switched over to flowering. -I like the sativa high and that's what I pursue. This plant is mostly sativa and I'm expecting some stretch from it. Also the others plants I have in the grow room are stretchers too. They are- 2 Sisters of Amnesia Lemon, 2 Pink Kush and 2 Tom Ford Pink Kush and of course 2 Purple Paralysis. - I've started 5 seeds of Dos Si Dos #33 by Barney for the next grow room diary. I've also started 5 Mega Mouth seeds from the Sensible Seeds Premium Selection, they offered for free with order, for the greenhouse this year. The description says: Mold and Disease resistant, suitable for cooler climates as well as being hardy. Sounds perfect for the greenhouse. But what's up with that name. Something about Loud and Proud? in the description. - I figure I've been more in flowering than I've been in veg and clean up over the years and it feels more comfortable to me. Till next time. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 1 and the start of week 2. The 2 plant look different from one another because of the parents. One is more leafy than the other. Both have strong stock and branches (for the big buds I hope). Both plants have large fan leaves that have long leaf stems pushing the fingers well away from the plants budding area. As you can see the plant are doing well and are healthy. > Reservoir- I rented a electric jack hammer (years ago) and made a deeper hole through the cement for more height. As you can see I got the table almost to the floor but I ran into bedrock. >Clones and Seedlings- I've shown you pictures of the veg'ing closet. I have the lights on ropes and pulleys to adjust the height with a 4 inch disk fan to push the air around. I have the breeze a little stronger that in the grow room to give the plant more micro fractures in the bark. I want the plant in the closet growing more slowly, it's 3 months between stages. >Meter- I've shown pictures of my ph, ppm and temp meter. I've just changed my water so you will notice the high temp. is a little high. That's not the water temp I normally run. I have to stick my hands in the liquid so I like it a bit warmer to work with, it will cool to about 22 c before my aquarium heater kicks in. >Messy Corner- This is most of the stuff I use in a 3 month grow cycle. >Seed Catalogue- I have all the Cannabis Canada Issues (except the first 3) later to be called Cannabis Culture because of legal stuff over Canada not wanting their name to be connected with cannabis. I though if you like the linage stuff like me you might like to have a look at the prices and description's. And which strains made the cut and were breed with to make the strains you grow today. This plant has a very long history. Till next time. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 2 and the beginning of week 3. The plants are doing great. I have to do a final trim on them this week. >Marc's Cannabis Catalogue- I only jumped ahead a few issues from last week. I'll jump to the next album next week. All the Cannabis Culture can be read at cannabisculture.com/ except the seed catalogue. This magazine really helped me learn about Cannabis, and had seeds for sale too! The "Ask Ed" page was loaded with good info and helped me solve or prevent a lot of problems. Check it out. >Clippings- I topped the plant almost a month ago and put the tops in a glass of water wondering if I'll get roots. I didn't dip the stock in rooting gel, but I had left over seed soak water in which I dissolve some rooting gel in the jar of water. I started the tops in that water mix. The clippings are starting to look stressed. I might have to get rid of them. Oh well. On to bigger and better things. Till next time. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 3 and the beginning of week 4.This last week I trimmed up the girls and added another 430 watt light. I got rid of a lot of fan leaves and sucker branches. This exposes the bud sites to more light and taking away the fan leaves, leaves the plant short on the ability to gather light (photosynthesis). So I add another light at this point. I'll be taking some more fan leaves off around week 5 for more light penetration. >Cannabis Culture- The last 2 weeks were from Album #1: #4 Feb/Mar 1996 to #19 August 1999. This weeks photos are from Album #2- #20 October 1999 to #39 Oct/Nov 2002. I'll show another catalogue from this album next week. There are 4.5 albums in all. Till next week. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 4 and the start of week 5. I thinned the plants a bit more this week. I took some more fan leaves and sucker branches off. I'm pruning a little early from what I like to do, but I wanted to trim my Pink Kush hard to see if I can get some bigger buds of it. So while I'm there I trimmed up the rest of the grow room too. All the plants are sucking up the nutrient solution now. I've added about 8 gallons to the reservoir this week. >Cannabis Culture- This weeks seed catalogue is from #36 Apr/May 2002. This issue is near the end of album #2, so it's on to album #3 next week. Till next week. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 5 and the beginning of week 6. This has been an different week. The plants are doing fine and growing well. The buds are coming along great. I have had to quite smoking cannabis because of surgery on my throat. I want it to go well, so I quite smoking. Being a pot head I smoke 4 to 5 times a day. I love the buzz, it's so much better than alcohol but smoking so much cannabis does have effects on the body. My withdraw symptoms are, a strong feeling of meh or blaaah which last for days, my temperature is swinging for warm to cool (annoying), not as hungry or sort of off my food. Not as much mucus in my nose and lungs (which is good) and not needing to pee as much and my bowel movements are more solid. This is because my body isn't trying so hard to get rid of the cannabinoids. My psoriasis isn't as aggressive as when I smoke. I sleep better, it's easier to get to sleep and I can remember more dreams. I have quite smoking before and the symptoms were worse. They are not as bad this time because, I smoke with a metal pipe with a foot long stem and about a year ago I started using a micro fiber cloth, cut up into small pieces to fit in my mouth piece. I noticed that the buzz wasn't quite as intense as no filter cloth so I needed a few more tokes, but I had less heavy tar in my lungs and I coughed less, my nose wasn't so plugged and and my psoriasis wasn't as bad so I continued to use a micro fiber cloth: Please look on Google for The Perfect Pipe which uses micro fiber cloth in the mouth piece. So I went to the 420 store and they didn't have any pre made micro fiber cloth filters so I looked in the cupboard when I got home and found a Sham Wow cloth and cut that up. If anybody is looking for a new angle to get into the cannabis market or trade, you might look into mass producing micro fiber cloths filters for sale for all smoking needs. I hardly ever smoke a joint these days., but you could make a joint filter which I think would be very popular to reduce heavy tar in the lungs thus reducing the withdraw symptoms. I'll start smoking again when I recover from having my swollen tonsil removed. I love growing and smoking. Thanks for your concern. Good Luck. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week 6 and the beginning of week 7. We have had a bit of a spring heat wave so the temp in the grow room has gone up by 4 degrees. All the better for big buds to form. Both plants are tall (not too tall) and plant #1 has a tighter bud structure than plant #2. Both plants are pumping out the resin now, as you can see in the pictures. Every thing in the grow room is doing well. >My surgery went well. It only hurts when I swallow. My tonsil was swollen for a couple of years but not getting bigger and I was on a 6 month observation with my doctor. He said 70% of the time the swelling is caused by a tonsil having little pockets that form tonsil stones (plack and inflammation) so the numbers were in my favor. He also said that 30% of the time it is some form of painless lymphoid cancer, not so good. The last time I saw the doctor my tonsil was a little larger so the time to remove it was now and find out the truth about it. He said tonsils don't respond well to getting a biopsy (a small piece taken with a needle) taken of them, so it had to be taken out to be tested. My tonsil has been sent away and will be tested and I'll get the results in about 2 weeks . Fingers crossed it's the 70% one. >Cannabis Culture- We're into the 3rd album now #40 Dec/Jan 2002/03 to #54 April/May 2005. I though you would like the 2003 Tokers Bowl centerfold. #45 Oct/Nov 2003. You can read all the magazines at www.cannabisculture.com All the issues are there, except for the seed catalogues. Enjoy. Till next time. Chuck.

Hello. This is the end of week7 and the beginning of week 8. Some of the pistils are starting to turn brown on plant #2. There is a few small brown tips of the leaves on plant #1 because I fertilize a little heavy. I call it, stepping on them hard, but I expect the plants to perform well for me. Everything in the grow room is going well and I will begin flushing next week. (Yes, I still flush despite the controversial flushing study which I don't fully believe. I'm hoping another flushing study will be done by someone not producing nutrients for profit) >I'm feeling and doing better. According to the internet, tonsil surgery is one of the top 3 most painful of surgery's. I am back to eating what I want and not the recommended soft foods for 2 weeks, my tummy is happy about that. I have a doctors appointment later this week and am hoping to be told to resume normal life, which means I can start smoking cannabis again,😃 >Cannabis Culture Seed Catalogue- Were are still in album 3 and I though I'd show you #50 Aug/Sept 2004 with a fold out front cover and a centerfold of how Cannabis Culture was started. > Thank You Marc Emery and Dana Larsen for all you've done for the advancement of Cannabis and Hemp. I respect you a lot. Chuck.

Hello. The Purple Paralysis plants are doing great and filling in nice. The buds are dense and have a wonderful smell. A sweet floral/lavender/hash smell, delicious. I like to flush for 2 weeks and a couple of days of dark before harvest. From this point it's all about the quality of the taste and how well the cannabis burns. About me> The tonsil was tested and it is cancerous from a virus I caught not because of what I did, which has helped me feel better about this, rather than beating myself up. I am going to proceed with the Rick Simpson Protocol. I have enough material to make up a batch and treat myself and I have applied for a Health Canada license to grow my own medicine. If I'm still making diaries in a year, you'll know the treatment worked.😊 Chuck.

Hello. The plants are doing well. Plant #1 is sure bulking up with some big buds on the top. Plant #2 is a little more spread out with lots of golf ball sized buds along the stocks. The branches on plant #2 are getting heavy and I had to reach in and tie up the plants upper buds, my fingers looked wet with resin. The plants have a rose/lavender/hash smell, delightful! This is the last week of flushing. The first week of flushing I added 10 ppm municipal water to top the up the reservoir and the water leveled off at around 650 ppm. This week of flushing will probably level off at around 350 ppm. That's all for now. Chuck.

Hello. Purple Paralysis is a very good Sativa dom. strain. The plants grow well with large branches to hold up the crystal covered large buds. Both plants were topped and still reached almost to the roof of my 7 foot grow room so expect big plants. The plants smelled wonderful while growing something like Rose/Lavender/Hash---Delicious! Plant #1 grow large indica like dense buds, while plant #2 grow more sativa like dense buds. I can imagine these plant being huge outdoors. Plant #1 Wet trim- 584g - Dry weight - 87g Has a wonderful smell when loading it into my pipe. It reminded me of a Hawaiian I grow years ago. A sweet and sour floral smell. The taste is a very sweet floral hash flavor. The buds were large and medium dense. I would guess the THC at around 19-20% It has a pleasant up head buzz. Its effect is energetic and smiley. Plant #2 Wet Trim - 849 - Dry weight - 150g Has a delicious smell when I broke the bud up for my pipe. It reminded me of a Jamaican I grow once. The strain was called Blue Mtn. and had a sweet rose/hash smell. I can really taste the lavender in this one, with a floral, spicy, sweet taste too! The growth pattern and buds were definitely sativa. With golf sized medium dense buds all along the branches. The THC in this plant is around 21-22% A strong up sativa head buzz. It feels like someone is barely touching you at your third eye area. The effect is a sativa blasted feeling. You can get up and do things but are enjoying yourself. Over all a very good strain. It produced lots of floral/lavender/hash tasting buds with a good amount of weight. You can't ask for more than that. Chuck.

Hello. This was a good grow with the Purple Paralysis strain. It produced large plants with large buds. The buds were crystal covered and smelled great. This would make a great outdoor strain who's description boosts mold, disease and pest resistant. Plant #1 was a little smaller and had some large indica style buds and had sticky resin. Plant #2 was a monster, taking over 1/2 the plant space beside it. I had to tie up the heavy budding branches more than once. Plant #2 had slippery resin and a sativa growth pattern. Both plants were fairly easy to wet trim and hang up. Everything is curing in bags right now. I'll report more when I can smoke the cured buds and take some more pictures too. Chuck. O.K. Plant #1 produced 87g and Plant #2 produced 150g so that is 237g for both plants. Not too bad for a sativa dom. plant. Plant #1 is not quite as strong as plant #2. I can sure feel plant #2 in my cheeks, sinus and forehead. It has a strong up sativa head buzz where you can get things done and talk to people. Plant #1 has a nice floral taste but I sure can taste the lavender in plant #2. Plant #1 Wet trim 584g Dry weigh 87g 3.1 oz. Plant #2 Wet trim 849 Dry weight 150g 5.35 oz. I find if I divide the wet trim weight by 6 it will give me a fairly good idea of the final dry weight. It was fun. Chuck.

@Ned_Grows,Hello Friend. Thanks for your concern but once I recover from my surgery I will start smoking again. I guess I had better add that to my last report. I had my tonsil removed yesterday and am doing good. I heard before the operation that it is very painful but it only hurts when I swallow. Best wishes, Chuck.

Interesting facts about the Tonsil and the form of painless lymphoid cancer it can create, is it just your Tonsil that you've had problems with and have you ever smoked Tobaco or just Cannabis. I only ask all this because I'm a bit concerned for my own health as well, I don't smoke Tobaco but I smoke Cannabis everyday. Also can you please explain the Co2 lantern blue flame method. Take it easy buddy my fingers are crossed for you as well mate

@Chucky324, G'day Buddy. My Dad passed away last year from stage 4 throat cancer, RIP I miss him so much. It all happened so fast within a year from being diagnosed to the day he was gone. When I think about it I feel very depressed, he was a heavy smoker & drinker. I wasn't aware of the Harvard study about Cannabis smoke not causing cancer that's definitely a relief to know. It's good that you don't smoke tobaco anymore I really hope your in the clear mate. I used to follow a medical cannabis grower on utube his name was Cheff B he was a Canadian as well you might had heard of him anyway he ended up being diagonsed with stage 4 lung cancer and he is no longer with us very sad as well because I followed him for a long time and I felt like I personally knew him, he smoked tobaco for many years also. Thanks for the tips about generating Co2 from a lamp or bbq that's something new that I have learnt and yes I see your concern about the risk of fire you would have to be extra careful with this method. Take it easy mate talk again soon 👍

@Ned_Grows, Hi Buddy. That was one of the first question the doctor asked, had I smoked tobacco. Yes I smoked for a lot of years. I was never a heavy smoker, I tried to limit to about 1 cigarette a hour and only smoked more when I was having beers. I quit about 9 years ago but I vaped a electric cigarette for more than a year before I was finally able to quit. None of my other lymphoid glands are swollen, the doctor checked. You have 2 glands you can check, that are just under your jaw bone, under your molars just to the inside. They often swell a bit when you are sick with the flu but are normally soft and squishy. I read a Harvard study, a few years back that said that cannabis smoking will not cause cancer and is a very good treatment for curing lung cancer so I wouldn't worry too much if you've never smoked tobacco. The doctor also asked if I had a fever without being sick, or if I had night sweats. I feel fine. I'll get the test results next week and will know for sure then. Fingers crossed. You can make your own co2 by making a blue flame. The best way is to get one of those small single burners camping stoves that burn propane from a small bottle. I read about it 20 years ago, where the grow ops that were getting busted were burning a large propane barbeque for the blue flame. Because I vent constantly and am cheap I tried the kerosene lamp I had and turned the flame down to get as much blue flame as possible and still keep it lite. Yes the yellow flame creates some carbon monoxide and I can smell it sometimes usually when the plants are small but it's the cheapest way I found to generate a good amount of co2 that the plants will use. CAUTION if it is knocked over it can burn down the house. So if you have pets or small children or are not the only one who goes into the grow area, you need to secure the flame where it can not be knocked over. I found a large colander (for steaming vegetables) that I put my lamp in so it will take a bit of a knock without being knocked over. Please use extra caution when using an open flame in a enclosed area. Hope that answers your questions. Chuck.

Looks rad hey, i mean, it has a bit of foxtailing, but it's really good, like long, upright, though bulky heads. Shit, that might only be maturing in like 1-2 weeks. Nice one.

Are you sure you need all those nutrients which are designed for latter plant stages? Also your choice of using a bucket approach means you need to flush the waste out of the bucket with fresh water before you add anything new to it, otherwise you will miss diagnose the nutrient lockout as a calcium deficiency or some other bullshit symptom - when its because you cant keep you pH between 5.3 and 5.9...anything above 6 at this stage is just bad advice. BTW I have grown Purple Paralysis about 30 times and average constantly 20+ ounces (dry weight of BUD) per plant...without using 80% of what you have listed above. I usually don't comment and let the bullshit advise slide - but Purple is a great plant and will pay you massive dividends if you treat it properly. Whatever you do, ignore the bad advice about the color of the hairs...purple is ready when it has "layered" about 3 times (it puts on massive weight in the last 3 weeks of a typical 8 week head cycle...which doesnt count the transition period while waiting for it to change into flower)...and if your growing it in a cold climate or during winter it WILL turn a dark purple in color if the you have the nutrient/pH balance right.

@@En4nicaTOR, Did you just come hear to brag. Or are you the savior of the Purple Paralysis strain What do you care what I do and how I do it. I didn't have a grow question so I don't know what you are going on about the calcium deficiency or some other bullshit symptom. I've read the same books you've read and I've got my own way of doing things. Did you even read any of my comments Or you just spouting off. Just want to end by saying F.U. you online TROLL
